Shadow Path (Stealth Missions Dedicated)

Some of us remember what old Warframe was about, Stealth. Now days it's mostly focused on brute forcing missions and there are rare few stealth type missions. What I would like to suggests is something similar to toggling Steel Path

Shadow Path

In shadow Path, stealth Gameplay is encouraged and rewarded. Amount of Nodes on Starchart will be reduced to fit mission that fit into stealth gameplay and introducing new Mission types and enemies and mods rewarding stealth style. Also adding more Optional Objectives to complete for better rewards. Some items such as Archgun and Support Charges will be disabled. (possible addition)Ultimate abilities will also be disabled (as an excuse that ultimate ability would cause void energy spike). 

Alarms In Shadow Path: 

Shadow Path punishes careless non-stealthy players with 4 stage alarm system, each time alarm is triggered rewards will decrease and after triggering alarm 5 times, Mission will fail. (Design's bound to be improved one way or another.)

Stage 0: non-alert: The Normal mode, we all know it. Nothing to add on it. (Or is there?)

Stage 1: Search ModeEnemies Do not know your location but will be moving around in wary mode, searching your location, increasing their view cone length. After Certain Duration has passed wiouth enemies finding you, you can reset the alarm back to level 0. If the alarm is triggered again, the duration is increased 2 fold. If the alarm is triggered 3rd time, the alert will skips stage 1 and proceed to stage 2.

Stage 2: Alert: Enemies will be in combat mode, alarms cannot be reset when the enemies are nearby. After Enemies are eliminated, after 10 seconds, alarms can be reset to stage 0.

Stage 3: Full LockDown: If the Stage 2 last's more than 5 minutes, alarm will increase to stage 3, Full lockdown which locks the doors, giving you a timer to clear nearby enemies within 3 minutes and reset the alarm. if this is not done within alloted time mission will  fail.

Enemies

Shadow path reduces enemy amount and replaces them from normal type to Warden Type enemies (examp. The Guards you usually find in rescues mission holding area) Who have a high Defense and damage on combat mode and are more resistant to warframe abilities, but are extremely weak to Stealth/silenced damage. Encouragin player for stealth gameplay. Additonal New Enemy type addition is High Guard who are more observant than normal Warden types and can detect invisible players within certain radius infront of them within certain time limit. Kuva Fortress will have Kuva Guards patrolling the areas. 

 

New Missions

Intel:  Objective is to search ship for Cargo/ Objects/ Consoles and Gather info from them. Using Scanner on the Cargo/objects/Target and leave. Optional Objectives Scan X amount of Enemies, Avoid Detection, Loot Caches, Scan intel Files.

Command Elimination:  Plan is to Eliminate Key Targets Within Mission before extracting

(If you got any suggestions on stealth type mission, feel free to suggest them)

Expanding Missions

Sabotage:  In sabotage mission you are asked to Sabotage ships engine, by creating blackout, creating dark map. Step 2 placing explosives around the ships weakpoints to create vacuum to make ship unusable and inhospitable. On Planet side sabotage missions, you destroy defensive structures and shipyards placing explosives. Optional Objectives  Eliminate Keytargets, Loot Caches, complete within timelimit.

Capture:  Capture target won't run away immediatly if you arrive into area undetected, allowing you to perfrom capture takedown on the target. Optional Objectives  -//-

Rescue:  Instead simple rescue, you must also escort target to Objective area to allow them get lost intel and equipment back. After that point you don't need to escort traget and can go to extraction. Target will be able to find their own escape path. Optional Objectives -//-

Spy:  Same old except more guarded (Could be changed to be more different from normal)

 

These Ideas are just suggestions for possibilities and more could be added, these ideas were written after workday so they might not be cohesive  and I know some of them are not everybody's cup of tea. There isn't much stealth Content left from old warframe since now days it focuses more on the Loudness and Explosions, but I truly wish there are people out there who wish that there would be more stealth focused aspect again.

I've been wanting better stealth content for a long time.  Very cool raw ideas here.

This is one of the things I always look for in these proposals.  Good job.   I think some additional counter-invisibility enemies / objects / mechanics would be nice too, rather than it being just one specific type of enemy.

Absolutely Love it!

This also encourages engaging with a mechanic I don't think a lot of people ever even consider outside of nekros slash material farms (in which it's a hindrence). Enemy Disintegration. Certain damage types completely evaporate enemy corpses. Which (when it doesn't bug out) prevents enemies from becoming alerted from seeing a dead body.

I'd also add to it that seeing a dead body should prompt enemies to immediately try to trigger the alarms. and also trip cameras.

Maybe have bonuses for not using invisibility strats at all to reward players who maybe don't want to run invisibility frames. Something substantial but not exclusive, to reward for extra risk and time without punishing invisibility players. And have destructible bits of environment like electrical panels or something that trigger alarms when destroyed to discourage speed stealth strats like Banshee's Silence + Aoe weapon blitzing.

One of the old things was that if you stealth killed enemy with melee channeling on it would disintegrate enemy's body and that indeed did work making enemies unaware of dead body.
