Adding more Components to Vendors as done with the Necraloid

Hi DE.

Thanks for putting the Necramech parts needed to build both the mechs and the weapons as part of Loid's offerings. I finally managed to just buy the parts I was missing so I could build both the Cortege & the Morghra. I hadn't really noticed until recently that Loid sold the missing parts I needed to build those two archguns, so I was quite happy to see this change. I guess it happened in Update 34.0, back in October.

Now... do this for OTHER rep vendors with OTHER drop table items that are a pain for players have to grind for (and still might not have after several years of play).

Stuff like the Arum Spinosa parts & the Sporothrix parts (hey, I actually finished this one after 2+ years of grinding) from the Deimos Vaults, the Lato Vandal and Braton Vandal parts from Sanctuary Onslaught, the Shedu parts from the Sentients, any of the random parts needed to build weapons and companions from Railjack...

So many of these parts have never dropped for me, despite having played the game since Beta. Putting the vault parts in the Entrati rep for purchase would help those of us with absolutely abysmal luck. Give the Sanctuary Onslaught items to Simaris to sell. Shedu parts could be sold by Little Duck, since she knows a ton about Sentinent stuff. And the Railjack items... give them to the Perrin guy who sells weapons for Holo Keys for a few holo keys for those parts.

It's not like I haven't put in a TON of work for all these factions. The least they could do is be like Loid and sell me the parts I want/need for some standing. I have PLENTY of that, but no actual Luck.

SELL ME THESE PARTS, DE! Pleeeeasssseeee!

How about an actual reason you're against it instead of just a meme?

  • Is it because I didn't "earn it" if I don't personally throw myself against the Warframe Grindwheel to get the parts I need to finish mastery?
  • Is it because "I could just buy said parts from someone else instead"?
  • Is it just because you are against changing things in a game that has constantly evolved over the last 10+ years?

Help me understand why you think this is a bad idea and not just try to force me into yet another attempt to get me to learn telepathy and mind reading. I've spent 20+ years at work and not once have I ever managed to learn how to read someone's minds, despite them trying their damnedest to make me NEED to know how to in order to do my job.

But seriously, what's the issue? Are you one of those folks who used to farm Arcanes and sell them and are still bitter that DE now has a way for you to avoid that with the inclusion of the Arcane Alchemy? All I can do is guess at your motivations.

Or don't explain yourself. That's fine too. You do you. I'm just trying to improve the game.

Typical things you encounter on the forums.

Anyways, considering we have pity shops having this in some way would be good. I would be okay putting these in Sanctum Anatomica since the necramech mods you can't even buy from Cephalon! Loid is available there, Arum Spinosa and Sporothrix could be there. It's not like these weapons are purely game-changers. You can make them use their own special currency if needed be.

Exactly. Adding some of those parts to faction-shops in a pity system isn't gunna break the game. It'll make it a bit easier to get MR unlocked, for players, since most all the things I mentioned in my first post aren't devastating monsters.

No one is gunna call the Lato Vandal OP, even if you put a Zeriman adapter on it. No one will say "The Nautilus Sentinel is game-breaking and is the MUST HAVE pet to use."  The Arum Spinosa isn't going to become the GO-TO melee if the parts were available for purchase instead of having to go back to grinding once more into the Isolation Vault's bad drop table.

The Pity vendor system is really good. It's good for folks to have options. We could use more of them, to be consistent across the game from 1 faction vendor to the latest ones.

What are you on about here?

There are mech mods you cannot buy from Necraloid like Steel Fiber alongside other Necramech Mods, so just like the weapons you have to rely on rewards in Iso Vaults and Arcana to get them. But you can buy it from Bird 3 in the Sanctum. Bottom line, Bird 3 sells complete necramech mods, including the ones that are only attainable from bounty rewards. Go check it for yourself.

Why did you mention a Cephalon though?

Not that this is a lore-based feedback post but... hell, I'll mention my view on Cephalons and Necraloids.

Cephalons are AIs made from folks who get their brain all cleaned and stuffed into some computer parts.

Necraloids like Loid (not-original) are moving bodies that can house an AI and act like a physical and non-physical assistant. Loid the Necraloid has a copy of Loid installed in the shell as well as Otak, sort of crammed into one case.

So like the updated Ordis seen in The New War, the Necraloid is just a fancy name for a moving shell, specifically the ones made by the Entrati family, where as Ordis' sentinel design was probably an actual type of sentinel with the Cephalon part wired into it. In the end, it's just a fancy title for an AI that's got a physical form.

Also, speaking of buying mods... I'd be down for Little Duck selling a copy of Sabot Rounds for Archguns because I've had horrible luck getting that mod to drop as well from bounties. Again, more things could be added to give folks stuff to spend their rep on.

Hmm, I recall people calling him a Cephalon, and the Wiki even states he is a cephalon. To be exact it states there that they're cephalons put in into Necraloids, which need a cephalon to work.

Necraloid (as far as we know) is the only one in existence, created by Entrati as an assistant for Loid.

This is so completely wrong. Cephalons are not made from "folks who get their brain all cleaned and stuffed into some computer parts". Unless you want to count being Glassed as getting their 🧠 cleaned.

Necraloid is just the use of the word "Necra" and "Loid". Considering that Entrati equipment all have the prefex of "Necra" in it, it would make sense that if they wanted to, they could make more Necraloid sentinel parts (called Loid Sentinel Skin, Mask, Wings, and Tail), which they sell to us for our own Sentinels.

And yes, getting "Glassed" to varying degrees makes Cephalons. I didn't want to spoil that part, but since it seems that I can't do anything in this thread to keep it focused on the ACTUAL content, sure we can talk. Anyways, folks like Cephalon Suda elected to have herself turned into an AI, whereas some like Ordis had it forced upon them. How much they remember of their original lives is part of the "getting their brain all cleaned". Obviously, folks like Nihil, he remembered more than others, since well, he could control how much of his brain got "cleaned" during the process.

Obviously the Loid Cephalon is in a Necra Loid Sentinel.

The REAL question is... Since Cephalons are made in a process that is quite destructive to the original being, yet Loid Prime is okay... how did Albert Entrati make a clone mind of Loid to stuff into a Cephalon to stuff into a Sentinel body.

Also, the CINTA bow. Those parts totally could be part of the Duviri faction and would allow folks to not have to farm. Not sure I mentioned that before but maybe I did.
