[DE]Taylor
Seasonal Leap of the Lotus cosmetics will soon be hopping away — enjoy the Lepus Headgear and Spring Step Ephemera until Wednesday, May 8th at 2pm ET. As a refresher, the new Ostarus Headgear introduced this year is a permanent item, so rest assured that it will not be removed from player accounts!

MeghanTheShade
So, if they're only temporary items, what was the point of adding or even making the effort to get them?

There was no effort. You just simply bought them from the market. Edited May 7 by Soarkle

And now that you know, you'll never buy them again. Good event, easy to ignore. Save that time visiting the market and play a mission instead. PublikDomain
Boo! Hiss! Leave them and add a toggle for those that want to avoid these kinds of cosmetics (most of which are already permanent). This is one of the highest-liked suggestions in the entire Art & Animation Feedback subforum. Do it already. I kid, but seriously - people have been asking for permanent Lepus Headgear for over a decade. Ears-for-the-rich is a start, ears-for-everyone is the goal. The same applies to the few remaining temporary cosmetics as well: the Dog Days Ephemera, the Dullahan Mask, and the Movember Mustaches (which are for raising money for cancer, among other men's health issues). All of the other silly cosmetics are already permanent, even new ones like the Ostarus Headgear. All the while, you leave anyone who feels that candy canes and bird wings are a little bit much with no option but to have their immersion ruined. Letting people decide for themselves how goofy they want the game to be would be a massive QoL. Edited May 7 by PublikDomain

Something like this isn't taking away from development time from other content. Costs one credit as well so there is no effort on our part to obtain it. If you have a rotating suite of temporary items it prevents them from getting stale without it looking out of season.

MithrasRevan
Only warframe players be like buying items for 1 credit they know is temporary, and complain about the 3 seconds it takes to go the market to buy them afterwards. If there's ever a place to know you can't please everyone, it's here. Frankly I'm surprised there's a perma bunny ear headgear now. It's just a matter of time for perma pumpkin head and such
