Changes are always nice to keep things fresh, but you must already realized that you just can't please everyone, sometimes not even the same individual. If we look back at previous topics with changes, the comments are often well received and praised, but months later players start complaining, contradicting what they liked/upvoted or said. Here's a few examples, let's say users complain that there aren't enough participations, later on they may complain that certain clans apply to much or they can decide later on not to participate, so their not doing their part anyway and complain when someone does their part. Some users advocate for new entries to win, but then the guy that spent 10 hours in a single room realizes the winners are users who spent 1 hour on the entire dojo by placing floating ayatan statues, they don't like it. They often show their unhappiness elsewhere btw. Some users (guest judges) like when dojos don't have these randomly empty rooms, but when other users ask them directly if it's ok, the reply they get is that it's fine either way. In the end, nothing matters (opinions, sugestions, tips,....), because all users have their own vision on who should win and who shouldn't in each single contest and when someone they don't like wins, they start complaining and want changes. Don't take what is said by A or B to seriously, because as i realized years ago, when you scrutinize the statements they can't be taken seriously, best option is to just do what you think it's best and users should simply participate for the sake of participating in a fun contest, regardless of the attrition or criticism they received at one point. I love the changes that allow new members of the dojo community to get onto the star chart, I can't wait to see how this contest unfolds. Visiting new clans will be very exciting as well. Anyway, prior to the changes that would have been the Spring 2024 contest, I made 6 new builds, and reworked/overhauled another 10 builds to bring them up to speed with the newer parts of the dojo. Teleporters lead to side areas like submarine locations that aren't quite finished yet so I didn't show them here. Spoiler Spawn room, with easy access to each of the labs. Eventually they'll each have their own theme. Spoiler Story Archives, a museum floor in the spawn room where story related artifacts will be placed. Spoiler Aethleia's nest, with a unfinished cafe that overlooks it. The tail drips down into the cavern where her last egg sits. Spoiler Spoiler Hall of Treasures, the dojo center for trophies and the early council of noggles. Spoiler Spoiler East & West Wings, each with their own themed forest. A wooden village in one and a mystic orokin forest in the other. Once we get more plastids the forest will have more. Navigation has it's own little aquarium surrounding it and eventually a larger aquarium on the outside edges. Spoiler IKEAframe In A Nutshell: I made a bet with another decorator and lost, so I had to make this room. He just wanted me to make a UtahRaptor and the IKEA was added later for silliness. Spoiler 07 Donation Treasury: Our treasury room needed updating so it was turned into a Library; includes hidden chamber for trading above the gargoyle. Spoiler Syndicate Playground: Just a simple, classic playground. Some toys have been left behind though; toy gun, toy truck, and a bicycle. Spoiler Sweet Tooth Ruins: Inspired by the IKEAframe room. You can either go with the flow and get ice cream from the ice cream man in some creepy ruins, or assume the worst and fight a truck as a dark souls boss. Spoiler Grineer Solar Rail: This is a ~90% accurate recreation of the old solar rail tileset and made in the Grineer/Kuva Fortress style. Includes checkpoint areas and a Rail Integrity Info Screen based on Kuva Lich theft rates. The middle room of Solar Rails had 3 options to choose from: Data Relay, Primary Generator, and Secondary Generator. This Solar Rail uses the Secondary Generator Room as the middle room. Each Solar Rail room in the past had 15 capacity for turrets or specter transporters. The first area uses 5 turrets, while the other 2 rooms use 1 turret and 2 specter transporters featuring Kela De Thaym. In a way, we can say we're the proud owners of a Solar Rail; even if it had to be folded into 5 layers like a blanket.
