0Pinger
Because of forum speed, img wrapper has lasted longer than I had though for a gaming forum. To display images let alone gifs, adds load and traffic to both the forum servers and our connections
Letter13
Avatars can't be gifs, because of the way the forums process the image (it does some back end formatting/resizing). At least I think this is the case. Besides, no need for gifs when one has doge instead.
MikaelM
Avatars can be GIFs and they can be animated - all a matter of settings in the backend.

I thought there was way around it. Letter13
Well, we can't use images that contain assets from other games due to licensing/IP/Copyright/Trademark rules. So those mass effect/garry's mod avatars wouldn't be allowed.

Zachles
I don't really care that some people can use whatever they want for Avatars.
