Brimir
Saying it in a Grineer accent actually helps a lot, thanks. On a serious note, though, it still sounds choppy for the players themselves (lore and such aside). No other Grineer weapon's name has such difficulty flowing off the tongue. Again, you have to separate the two words: Drak'goon. Much easier to say, and it sounds undeniably Grineer.
shut
Again, you have to separate the two words: Drak'goon. Much easier to say, and it sounds undeniably Grineer. I know. Saying it in the deep "Tenno skoom" voice makes it infinitely easier. Still, though, hard to pronounce smoothly without Grineer accent. xD

Syzodia
you might as well say my name sucks, and i don't care if you do. Cuz I might think yours is worse. Point: I like it. I've seen worse, much worse - IMO.

Hadronox
How about just Drakoon?
Archistopheles
Flak Guuun Drak Goooon I thought it was cute.
RahuHordika
I don't like the name either. The name doesn't feel like a Tenno weaponry for me.That's because it's Grineer. On topic. I quite agree, I was fine with (what I thought at first was) Dragoon, odd choice but whatever. The K just doesn't make it flow well, regardless of the pormanteau. Archistopheles
That's because it's Grineer. Coulda sworn it was Corpus... I might be thinking of Penta though.
Paradoxbomb
I don't like the name either. The name doesn't feel like a Tenno weaponry for me. Well technically it's a Grineer gun, and these are the guys who named a gun the Grakata I don't know, it sounds ridiculous yet somehow fitting for the Grineer. EDIT: Apparently this point's been made already, whoops. Edited January 10, 2014 by Paradoxbomb
Varzy
It sounds weird, until you say it in a Grineer voice. "DRAK-GOOON!"
Kinperor
Gotta say it doesn't roll off my tongue. Can't say I like the name. I'd rather have it be "Drak Cannon", I think it'd fit better.
RahuHordika
Coulda sworn it was Corpus... I might be thinking of Penta though. In concept it was for the Corpus (DC) but I assume it just got changed to grineer, probably made more sense for them. Besides the overall design looks more like grineer. Oh yeah and the grineer symbol by the handle.
LordofTibera
Early on i thought the grineer naming scheme was cool in that their weapons were all named after being of mythology. Now they kinda...dont. As far as im concerned its called the " dragoon".
Syzodia
Syzodia flows. Drakgoon does not. Still looks cool to me. Flows bizzarely, I agree, but it APPEARS to be a cool name. All that matters to me.
00zau
I think it would have been better to just call it the Dragoon. Drakgoon is basically unpronounceable without turning it into two words; the 'kg' really can't be pronounced without a pause too long for the middle of a word. shut
At the very least, they should put an apostrophe in the middle. Turn it into Drak'goon, so it doesn't look like the lack of flowing was unintentional.
Instinction
I honestly dislike the name as well, it doesn't flow off the tongue well. In my opinion I think Drakoon or Flagoon would be much more suitable names.
Urza1234
I personally agree with the OP, its an awkward word to say. After trying a few times I just told everyone that I speak to about Warframe that as far as im concerned the 'K' is silent.
Brimir
You guys are totally missing the point. It is not supposed to be elegant, it is not supposed to flow off the tongue. Have you heard the Grineer speak?
Stuifiee
You guys are totally missing the point. It is not supposed to be elegant, it is not supposed to flow off the tongue. Have you heard the Grineer speak? GET GLEM! Seriously though, other weapons and frames are a bit more... "comfortable" to pronounce. I just call it Dragoon since that sounds better. (Any Dutch people out there? The Dutch pronunciation is even worse that the english)
AlchemistMute
You guys are totally missing the point. It is not supposed to be elegant, it is not supposed to flow off the tongue. Have you heard the Grineer speak? Gorgon flows. Viper flows. Machete flows. Seer flows. Grineer flows. Vulkar flows. Sobek flows. Hek flows. So why does this one weapon not flow? Brimir
Gorgon flows. Viper flows. Machete flows. Seer flows. Grineer flows. Vulkar flows. Sobek flows. Hek flows. So why does this one weapon not flow? Because those are old Grineer weapons. With the more recent weapons (Stug, Karak, Drakgoon) it is obvious that DE are trying to make the names more lore-friendly.
