(PSN)Hooligonzo
Because that's the rumor I'm encountering in a group right now, and it has that ounce of plausibility that's giving it traction with the group. Two nights ago, I went 40 minutes in a Survival game and nobody thought twice about sprinting; we were running all over the place. Tonight, some folks insist it's integral strategy to hit the 30 minute mark. So what's the truth; Does sprinting affect Life Support, or is this a hilarious rumor? Jag272
As far as im aware this is a completely ridiculous rumor, pretty sure life support is just a timer. Everyone always runs all over the place though generally in the same room so spawns arent spread massively. BrotherIcarus
It is nothing more than a rumour that is not true come on people it is a game, a game that never uses any kind of logic I might add.
Regar
lol that is a nice rumor indeed xD i can't stop to imagine some guy yelling at the start of a survival "stop sprinting or we will run out of O2!!!" Rengakun
When Survival was first released, people started spreading rumors that sprinting would deplete Oxygen quicker. Hell, even a ComMod believed it. After the ComMod got some REAL info from DE themselves, he confirmed that sprinting DOES NOT deplete Oxygen quicker. I guess the rumor really did stick with parts of the community.
Llyssa
It's something that was apparently true at the very first appearance of survival as an event, but was removed--you can test yourself, try standing for 10 seconds, recording your % before and after. Then try sprinting for 10 seconds. The depletion is the same. The only things I've noticed that affect the timer at all are broken windows and downed players. Broken windows seem to give a *slight* boost to how fast LS depletes(about an extra 2% per 10 seconds), and a downed player appears to change the drain rate from 1.5 seconds per percent to 1 second per percent. Both can be easily remedied, though.
Ritchel
i sometime feel its fast to deplete sometime slow, but i dont think sprinting causes it.

--MANA--
As for someone who tends to do long survivals, I don't think it actually does affect it but i could be wrong.
--MANA--
Just use zephyr for unlimited air supply lol I hope this is possible since she's a wind warframe. imagine how long you can survive those survivals without touching one life support. Suzaku4489
Make sure you don't bring an Ember to a survival mission. Fire burns up oxygen, you know!* *It doesn't in this game, though.
(PSN)Hooligonzo
Yeah, none of this added up to me. I didn't want to say it was straight up false until I at least had more input from other players, because, like I said, it has a bare ounce of plausibility. That ounce went contrary to what I'd experienced myself, but there's a difference between thinking something and knowing something. It's still a hilarious rumor. Well-crafted, really. Corvid
This is one of the oldest rumours that is still active. It's still false.

OriKlein
Last I asked someone from DE (can't remember which) about it (several few months ago, so it may have changed) I was told it is nothing but a baseless rumour. Best Regards,
Kintsurugi
Gamer superstition, just like holding down and B while throwing a pokéball in order to increase your chances of capturing a Pokémon...or doing a full body tilt IRL in order to help your Arwing dodge incoming fire in Starfox for the SNES. BBHQ
maybe because when you stay longer the LS depletes faster and LSCapsule arrive later, and you began sprinting all over the place to avoid attacked by high level enemies, some coincidence
(PSN)fingernageldreck
I also got told that the person in the crypod could wake up and attack you... I mean u protect him, he wakes up and tries to knock you out -.- Or new players also ALWAYS run away from the group in survival and die lonely in a corner somewhere on the other side of the tileset.
