You think the people working on these updates want to stay at work til midnight? Nope. But we want to iron out as many bumps as we can before we ship. Sometimes this requires us to put in some extra effort and time.

+10 Respect >;3

Take your Time DE.  Each update you do is Epic.  and I Don't mind waiting for them.

I see big things for Warframe, and I'd rather it be done right, then rushed just cause some people can't be patient.  So take your time, release the update when its ready and not a minute before that :3

I was expecting to taste the melee 2.0 before I start working in reality. But hell, they kept delaying it (which is understandable) and I am now started to work...so I am not going to wait till 3-6am for the update like before. I will be waking up at 6am and find out what DE update! and then go to work...

Well I think it goes without saying what the situation is like on the PS4, (love all you guys at DE and i know Sony don't make it easier on you) but please for our sakes be grateful for your weekly updates, we're lucky if we get a weekly update, or even a bi-monthly update at that.

EDIT; changed bi-weekly  to bi-monthly, weekly < monthly, cause i'm a dum dum

Working hard to ship out extra stuff huh? Would melee 2.0 be one of those things for tonight? :o

Would be nice if DE could release the update like 2 hours earlier, so us Europeans don't need to stay up till 2 AM

who is telling you to stay up? you don't need it you choose to stay up till 2AM

Relax, the update won't escape, it's not a rabbit. To be more detailed, last update was deployed past 6AM on thursday, so it's definitely insane.

As a fellow IT specialist I feel your pain.

They normally release at midnight 0000GMT, sometimes there are hiccups and they release later than normal. I can live with that, in fact i'd prefer them release updates without bugs so waiting a few extra hours is not a problem for me. And no offense but why are people staying up until past midnight for a patch anyway? I realise that some work shifts that make midnight their midday but those who don't should maybe go to bed and look forward to what they will wake up to the next day.

I live in australia, so these updates arrive at around 10am thursday morning, Should i complain that the updates are a 'day late' for me or should i think that the update when it comes will be good quality and with fewer bugs due to the wait.

Get some patience, they can't make everyone happy.

Thank you for this. I like it when the public gets a healthy reminder of how time consuming and hard it is to be a game developer. I know you guys are working your butts off for us and I appreciate it. Please stay healthy though!

Warframe players are a bit spoiled. I used to play world of Warcraft, that game is lucky to get a patch every other month.

5.4 on 9/9/13, 5.4.1 on 10/29/13, 5.4.2 on 12/10/13, and 5.4.7 on 2/18/14.

6 months and there has only been 4 patches, many of them with minor ability tweaks and bug fixes, nothing new.

In all seriousness, you should just wait till Thursday and play update, think about it Thursday you do not have to wait at all, you wake up, boom Update!
Updates are not that easy to do, they working on a weekly update schedule, not much company's can pull that off, because of the hard work that goes into doing a weekly update.  Heck the most rich company Blizzard  I think only updates D3 every 5 months...
