JimJam_ Posted March 25, 2014 Share Posted March 25, 2014 I had an idea for a melee weapon while I died on an invasion mission. What about a shield? It would function similarly to the Lancer's shield. Hold block to take infinite damage from the front, and attacking while blocking knocks down enemies in melee range. When not in use it would be put on the back. Shields that require higher mastery rank could be bigger. (G3 size, maybe bigger :o) It would be an alternative for melee, providing defense rather than offense. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Maybe that one of the Stance Mod in Melee 2.0 will be more defensive and allow you to do some of the things you're talking about, while the other stance combines fast attacks with the sword and the shield together (shield bash combos like Cymbal Onslaught from Dragon's Dogma). Rhino, turning into a shiny silver tank is totally ninja..... A riot shield, allowing you to shoot a secondary would be fine Same with an energy shield that extends after using "attack", or does a bash forward. its all viable for ninjas, since these are SPACE ninjas, with variation. you have a big &#!
