LostShadow
If you cant read red text: so i played some time with lanka and i had idea, what if lanka would have AoE around buller, so when you thot you would make something like on those 2pic and you would knock every enemy in range of 1m-2m (well it depends how it would work in game) around bullet. As it is now it is not that good, dmg is ok, but its slow (charge) and it is not hitscan so this idea would be perfectly fit with this weapon. This idea would make Lanka more polpular (well a little bit), and more CC. Edited April 22, 2014 by LostShadow

residente
Would be easier to read with a blue font maybe instead of red

Vaskadar
I just wish Lanka was hitscan like the Railgun Moa's weapon.

SnaleKing
I am an unapologetic Lanka fanboy. Lanka is a bow. Yes, it looks like a rifle, but with the charge trigger and travel time, it has the exact drawbacks and playstyle of a bow. The problem with Lanka is that it cannot compete with the good bows, Dread and Paris Prime. It has a clip, its charge is much, much slower even with maxed speed trigger, and, most damningly, it lacks the opportunity for a 100% crit chance. This forces it to rely on its elemental damage, which while quite strong, is entirely eclipsed by the good bows. Doesn't matter if it's spitting 4000+ corrosive damage, with a 50% chance for a x4 crit, Paris prime hits with 15,000+ damage per shot, every shot. One used to be able to argue that Lanka's innate punch through or status build made it strong, but the good bows have punch through too, and there are much better weapons for proc builds. It's left in a weird place where no matter what you build it for, there's another weapon that does that job better. Needs a buff. Just as Paris prime and Dread focus on puncture and slash damage, I'd like Lanka to compete with them with pure electric damage. The shockwave idea, while cool, will still place it well behind game-changers like Penta and Ogris.

[DE]Momaw
Agree. Lanka's lack of guaranteed crits makes it completely obsolete next to the Paris Prime or Dread. While it can do good work when it crits, every shot is a gamble. And you cannot afford to gamble with a weapon this clumsy to use. As an aside the high zoom scope is also kind of irritating to me. eruzet
maybe the bullet effect looked like this, but with more matrix look.. (ignore the ballistica)
Kasseopea
I really looked forwards to Lanka and did what i could to get to it, but in the end i was pretty disappointed tbh. Its strong, but not strong enough. You either get a monster zoom or none at all and you are very much fcked when getting dogpiled. Maybe it will win some popularity when we get stealth 2718.0 or something but as for now its a nice weapon, but far too situational
Jin_Kazama
I agree with the OP that a wider ranged laser would be cool, however im not sure if itd be practical, i mean how big would the lazer have to be to hit say... 3 grineers side by side, that would have to be one FAT laser. BrazilianJoe
Lanka and Vectis a re both in the same boat. Snipers are getting no love, Bows are just superior right now, which is weird. Snipers in general need a buff. Even secondary weapons can out-damage them (Marelok).
Ksdsdf
Lanka can build for both status proc and crit. You can control which element you want to proc the most (highest damage would proc more). Always like it when I 1 shot and kill cluster of mobs because of punch through & gas/blast procs. Bows do have the damage, but the proc is not as good as lanka. If there is any buff, i would like to give Lanka another fire mode: a shotgun mode (dispersed laser, close range, lower crit chance and status proc, no punch through, 0.5 charge time by default) and sniper mode.
