Tsukinoki Posted June 4, 2014 Share Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) I seriously doubt it was a member of DE, let alone a "main gameplay dev" as you put it.Even then there are definitely going to be gameplay devs that never touched dark-sectors and instead deal with things like enemy stats and other pieces of information like that. Meaning they would know about dark-sectors but not much else.But without direct screen-shots and such you dont really have any "proof" beyond:"Believe me guys! This really happened!"Which is just like any other lie people tell on the internet when they claim they met a famous person but really havent. Well, that's why they have the Design Council. So they can get feedback from players on the design aspect of the game. Trust me. DE do know quite a bit about Warframe. It has become far too broad in scope; this is why coders specialise now, coding, ai, animation, models, ui, and more, there are very few people in any games company that knows their product inside out. Why the hell do you think prime time features folks from multiple departments if not to talk about the areas they specialise in and have most knowledge of? I would suggest you stick to whatever the hell it is you do in real life and stop trying to criticise jobs, and job roles you know nothing about. Except you're missing the point that he might not be a doctor but a chef. People work on different parts of the game, they specialise. Therefore they don't always have to know everything about the game. Saying so is illogical and just undermines a reasonable portion of your point.If it actually was a dev you were speaking to and they actually were managing the aspects of gameplay, I doubt they wouldn't know that.
