Scarab14
So, we have our useful stylish extraction point on every single enemy Corpus/Grineer Ship. I mean, really? Why do they build a port for every Tenno who would maybe like to wipe out the crew? And why don't we enter with these?

Then I must ask, why is there then figure shaped openings there all the time, shouldnt there be and reguler opening and then at extract they would show up? Burnthesteak87
Totally agree. There should almost be an enemy team trying to deal with the "invasor" Tenno ship, some engineer, deployed defenses, people freaking out, anti-air defenses, enemy HQ or intel managing to close the escape route. What does make for the Tenno ship such an easy task to grip to an hostile battleship and stay there waiting for Tennos? Should be there some turret defense, a resque team defending the area, an energy barrier keeping hostiles off, a teleport area?Take for example the Invasion Missions. There's a freaking fight between the 2 factions in the breach zone.Ingame it can be traslated with a last hard fight to complete the mission, or something alike. Momoynator
this is like the third topic I've come across asking the same question. The same answer to why all our doors look the same (the general shape, not the door itself)

Why can it stay there for the whole Mission and the Enemies just watch and do nothing? What would YOU rather do as a grineer marine. Try to shoot/blow up a ship that is probably bullet/explosion proof, made exactly to counter that... or fight the space ninjas killing hundreds of your men right behind you? EDIT: And the "figure shape" is part of the liset ship that recedes into the hull after extraction. Also, when you play open world runs, you see the liset ship arrive just after the first person gets to extraction, so what's to say they don't wait last minute when your on ship missions too? Scarab14
Because it is already there when we arrive and stays there until everyone is there or the timer ends. And a single Grineer can't deal with it of course, but it's pretty sure that a large warship like a galleon has some anti-air measures that are strong enough to destroy a little Tenno ship. MDRLOz
It would be nice if DE stuck in some tiles of the exit points as dead ends. They could redesign them (put more boxes and the like) to show the difference but instead of the extraction ships there is bulkheads or corpus/Grineer escape pods. Or they could make it that the Corpus /grineer use that to link ships togher and we hop from one ship to the other through that tile. I know it is not going ot happen so DE does not confused people as to when they reach the "exit" tile. However it REALLY bugs me how some tiles could be readded in to serve multiple purposes and would easily expand maps and add more depth. Maybe... one day. Rhundis
Has everyone forgotten that the Grinner, Corpus, and Tenno all came genetically from a human being? That being said its only logical to see similarities between the factions since the mostly have the same origins. Also the Warframe shaped slot "is" a part of the extraction ship. It just happens to fit into standard docking ports. Probably because, oh I don't know, the ship your on could expect visitors who don't share the same tech as they do from time to time. Logic people, logic.

An Anti-Air Defense can't shoot at itself, which is basically what your suggesting by shooting at a ship docked to it. Also, just because it's there when we walk in the room doesn't mean it didn't JUST fly in right before. At the end of the day this is a pointless topic, cause hey! It's a game... and we're space ninjas of the future lol...
Meganin
Theres a reason for the extraction ship be this tiny and that reason is stealth. The ships were made to dock with both grineer and corpus ships without being detected hence the size and the unusual extraction method. My guess is those ships are in fact insertion and extraction devices that take the tenno to and from the actual ships without alerting the invaded ship. Sunder
I've always wanted to see new infiltration and extraction animations. As it is we either get dropped out of a ship, or it flies in close, we disembark and sneak through vents to the part of the ship where the mission starts. Extraction? Always the same...dropship waiting. We just walk in, take off, and that's that. There's SO much room for mission and events between that stuff! Boarding the ship from the outside, finding a way in, sneaking through and dropping into place. Or maybe the ship sorta pulls a slingshot moves and opens its hatch, heads directly towards the vessel and immediately pulls up and brakes, sending us flying in through a window or something that shuts behind us (Could be used for missions that are under fire and starts pre-alarmed) Extraction? Make it more interesting or something. Open a hatch and free fall while dodging space debris towards your ship. Or having to take a leap of faith in which grineer/corpus follow and jump after us, having us fight them while falling as the ships speeds up to catch us. Just SOMETHING other than entry via grate, and exit via drop panel so conveniently placed...
SmokinDevil
It's not like we are attacking a military base or anything. We are usually on small ship with a ton of boxes/crates stacked up on each other.

It's been mentioned that the liset is separate from the actual ship we'll own. The liset is for extraction and insertion while the actual ship is where we'll dock our liset and upgrade, feed our Kubrows (YESSSSS), and do all the other warframey things. Caobie
one thing id like to point out that noone had yet was that the extraction ship seems to be capable of cloaking. you can see it cloak as it leaves from the ship tilesets. so whoes to say it doesnt cloak on approach and, like has been said, only just get to the extract when we're finished cause it was waiting for the signal from lotus?
