"Sylph allows Tenno to take brief control of magnetic waves and send enemies airborne"

fSZPIc7.png

-Information-

This giant fan is composed of 3 parts. The edges, the center piece, and the modules between the center piece and edges. When opening the fan, you will hear slight humming. What you hear is the magnetic energy being channeled through out the parts.

-Combat-

While being used in combat, Slyph is capable of making Zephyr jealous of it's launching capabilities. The first two attacks of the stanard 3-hit combo are swinging the edges around like a blunt weapon. The third and final strike sends enemies in range on a little joy ride into the air via magnetic energy being released, similar to that of Jat Kittag in terms of launching power. However, there is more vertical motion applied with this weapon.

-Channeling-

While channeling, it's a whole new thing. Each move has the fan open and sends enemies flying at the cost of energy.

If you know who Temari is, then you probably know where I got the inspiration for this. My friend Vanque and I were talking about how it would be cool to have a giant fan as a weapon, so here I am making this post.

There is also another cool fan weapon that recently got posted as well. It's not anything like mine and focuses on opening and closing the fan to use the blades inside. Humbros does a nice job of it over here; https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/317668-mystral-tenno-fan-weapon/

Giant fan, hmm, some how that reminded me of Code: Lyoko. Not the size, the combat aspect (being used as a weapon). If you could instead maybe make it a bit smaller and work like glaive, perhaps?

On top of that, maybe add a magnetic blast upon thrown explosion. OOH,  and maybe using the combos would allow a field of disruptive energy to form?

Well if it was like the Glaive, then what is the point of it? The fan that Humbros did seems to be more suitable for what you're talking about.

I wanted to try and make this work in a way that wouldn't take the thunder way from Zephyr's tornados but, I'll take your comment into mind.

Repeating my comment on the DeviantArt Page:

I really enjoy the design, but feel that the unlatching/dual hilts are a bit weird. In my humble opinion I think that the handle should be slightly lengthened, and instead of the dual hilts it'd be one big hilt with a button or switch that opens and closes the fans.

And one idea for the weapon would be to have a Channeling-based Combo that keeps the fan open, but every swing launches a big blast that sweeps enemies away.

Ooh, I saw your comment on dA but, I'll reply to this one here. Always appreciate feedback. They don't unlatch, I think that's just me doing a bad job at explaining it. If it's the half segment in the image, I was just showing where the little modules go into for hiding when you close the fan.

I'm not sure about one big hilt though. If you have two, it retains the fan shape, although there are fans with a stick instead of a foldy-watchamacallit.

I do like that idea of the channeling combo though. I'll add that.

It's awesome. Guess I got you out of that art block.

Eh, kind of. It's still a pain.
