Who's Excited For Difficult 8 Man Raids?

Does anyone else think this is DE way of mixing Archwing with regular play.

For survival

4 tenno in the ship doing survival, 4 tenno in space escorting life support capsules to the ship.

4 tenno in space trying to take out a grinned ship 4 tenno on land doing mobile defense to hack the planetary defenses to gain access to the a a guns to shoot down ship

AW will be implemented throughout the star chat in combination missions per DE's dev stream comments. The first mission we know of for sure is the J3 Golem boss redux. As far as the Raid goes it could be a combination mission but due to the lack of AW missions currently not all players have even played it much less 30'd gear and applied various things such as catalysts and reactors, or even have all the necessary mods yet. Unless the Raids come out after a serious influx of AW content I would not expect them to include it at all.

I agree, afterall mathematical or mechanical difficulty seem to be to much for some players, rescue mission or nightmare missions are nice examples of missions that attract inept players.

T4 void is also another one, often draging players that can't handle the mission in a team, let alone do it alone and it's impossible to think they are able to carry the team if the situation demands it.

Sadly, unprepared players, newbies and noobs will plague the raid game mode, making the mission a drag, afterall they only join to receive the reward at the end as the contribution they provide is next to nill.

I advice players without a clan to start thinking of getting one and to start learning the ropes of warframe in the most basic of missions.

The awesome thing about this whole premise is that thanks to the newly implemented restrictions on receiving rewards at missions end if dead too long, players will not be able to be carried at all through the raid in order to get rewards so they will end up being extremely frustrated by it very quickly and subsequently stop joining fairly quickly if unskilled and dying a lot.

tenno are SUPPOSED to be way more powerful then the corpus and grineer and what not, if they wouldn't be they would be truly extinct by now,oh but don't you worry, in 2 years time when corpus has fully researched nullifier tech litterally every corpus unit will be wearing a mini nullifier shield and tenno truly WILL go extinct

when corpus has fully researched nullifier tech

Corpus don't research.

Think like the Mechanicus from 40k, they don't innovate, just copy off old designs. They don't even really understand how their tech works.

And also, tenno aren't just superior because of their technology.

I just wish it wud be like Dragon Nest's SDN

Lots and lots insta kill area if not careful

and maybe entry limitation like once a week(too much void energy dangerous for Tenno(like gate crash event)) wud be good too,but make sure the drop is best of the best and no RNG included :|

I'm excited , I just hope there's not a problem with revives or they at least let us stack up some revives or something. Wonder if the loot will be some mods and special weapons or something that's not obtainable any other way. As a destiny player as well I'm hoping Warframe crushes destinys lack luster raids and awards there players with actual loot unlike destiny.

This kind of post right here tells us clearly there is a deficiency in implementation in various areas and must be addressed to ensure that Raids can be END GAME material.

If they cannot be Soloed, then I am not interested.

Playing with three randoms is usually bad enough, but seven? No thank you.

Co-op should not be forced onto us when Solo is an option. I don't care if these Raids go beyond T4/Nightmare strength.

Sorry bud DE has already stated it will take a coordinated group of tenno to complete.

Firstly, I am not your bud.

Secondly, that's a poor decision.

Thirdly, oh well. They had a chance to make it appealing, but failed miserably.

My opinion? its about damn time they upped the difficulty and added 8 mans or higher. I been asking for this forever.

EDIT: Also why is it that DE always has to hear "well the solo player"

8mans obviously arent for lone wolfs / people who are anti social, thats the way it is in any MMO. Do you hop into other MMO and just blow off new content/raids because you have to interact with other humans?

I always see this behavior on DS conflicts, that's why I thought it was lag related.

I'll check my drivers and DX. Thanks for the info.

Missing heads and the suchlike in DS is packet loss related. Which is part of the 'lag' problem, the other poster doesn't know what he's talking about. During client setup many details about your client config are bounced up to the host and back to the client. If packets are lost then the setup goes screwy.

While I love the idea of more challenging content that requires coordination and strategy, I am afraid that the elitism that already permeates the recruiting channel will only be worse for the 8-man raids. Even now we have groups that will only accept certain frames at certain mastery levels with certain builds. Does it make it easier to run a Tier 4 Defense with a three-forma'd Frost and four Corrosive Projections? Sure. Is it necessary? No, but if you aren't running a few specific builds, not only is it difficult to get invited to a T3/4 or Syndicate rep farming group, but if you don't already have the frame equipped that the host is looking for, you are likely to get kicked without a word. Having seen this same thing occur in other MMO's (WoW, LoTRO, TSW), I think after a day or two, only players with very specific builds are going to be able to get groups at all.

I think the recent escort event gave us a taste of what Warframe on difficult can be like...and there was not one solution. Hopefully future content will be similar, albeit with fewer Nullifiers.
