cob_metallica Posted March 29, 2015 Share Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) hi, i would like to give a topic for players to share their opinion about exclusive content for china (warframe based on chinese mythology and weapon) that you might heard about. to my point of you, i'm not at all agreed with, if you make a new warframe based on their mythology , i would like to be available for everybody, or then make exclusives content for europe, america, oceania and africa also. but i dont get why they should have content available only for them (trying to bring new players faster maybe , but i'd really not enjoy this.), anyway i'm not saying that DE have to change their acts, i'm just giving my opinion and hope you will give yours too, and this might make DE working and discussing about.This info is not confirmed at all, but we have few sources on forums which shared this. If they get exclusive, brand new warframes and weapons, get over it. I doubt DE would contribute 100% to the development of such items and keep them exclusive to China unless the publisher there is paying way out the butt to keep it that way. Chances are, it's a third party making these items. DE probably knew something like this would happen going into the deal to get Warframe into China. See? This is what it's like for other countries' games to come state side - stuff changes, some exclusives get dropped to cater to the market. Though I get the feeling it's the raging entitlement complex this game encourages in spades that's really causing any sort of "muh exclusives!" cries. I personally don’t like what they’re doing here, they may or may not be deliberately splitting the player base here. Problems:~snip~ We don't have any rights at all to tell DE what can and cannot be exclusive for the Warframe version in China. If any separate version that DE has to make for China's it was mostly due to that business requirements and isolated nature of that country. I'm sure DE would love to use the same Warfame version and tell China to take it or leave it, instead of going through so much trouble collaborating with companies in China to bring Warframe to their doors. Also, when you're doing business in another country, it's either their ways, or they'd be more than happy to escort you out of their country. And China is one of those countries will make sure you remember that well while doing business on their soils. And talking about exclusivity? Pfff. Currently, even over here DE has to make, already and at any time, different versions of Warframe. PC, PS4 and XB1 each has its own exclusive items. For example: Loki the norse god of lies, trickery and deception will be painted red and they call him ching chang ping pong after the chinese god of deception, trickery and lies. First of all, I'm a chinese, and that website they found, I've never heard about it in my life before the link, it's not even a major website in china, information accuracy in that site is at least doubtful. And DE works with Marvel? I mean really? Avergers works with Tennos to save the universe...........how much did it take for Marvel to negotiate with Sony to use spider-man which was originally theirs in their own movie and stuff? Now crossover with DE? Call me skeptical xD And with all the censorship bullS#&$ the chinese government are pulling to digital products (I mean censoring Harry Potter, really?), if there is ever a seperate Chinese warframe, trust me, in no time all those actually good and kind chinese players will shift to international version in no time, and only the idiotic offensive kids who pay 100000000 RMB to buy revives will stay in that version, and trust me when I say you don't want them to play with you anyway. So listen to a chinese, there is nothing to worry about. ^thisNever came by to those websites before. Probably a fan boy posting info on his own self made website claiming false fan boy theory. I mean... Seriously..if a game is coming out. PW have all the cash to spash on advertising info on the major well known websites OR even their own website instead of some unknown one. Its like coming across a new GTA 6 game and you see their game posted on a unknown website rather then rockstar website itself or those others gaming intro websites. Also, I'm sure DE is already in making a nunchaku for us soon. Maybe even sooner than to wait for a Chinese version out to validate your complain. If the potential Chinese player population is substantial (comparable to our current population), then they will probably need special adaptation (we have this to. It is just not obvious when there is just one group).- profit. Even if a group is small, (though in this case it is probably the reversed), if the amount of money involved is large enough, then it will prob require attention as well (small attention change could mean big difference in income)All in all, I don't see this China version being bad at all. At least I don't think it have any direct negative effects on our own game. Well, except when we see some "exclusive" stuff we like.. but remember point 2 above... Vanetas Posted March 30, 2015 Share Posted March 30, 2015 i dont get why some of you are breaking your balls for "content" that most likely isnt even made by the original dev team. if they get a new frame good for them, since if its a frame from the original devs , obviously we are gonna get it too. honestly, if its lets say an "exclusive" frame made by the chinese company, DE would have to give 2nd thoughts to port that frame because either it will break lore, op, or just different from the initial basic frame design. which i would rather not have here. we are region locked from each other anyways, so let them have their star armor and us have our warframes, m'kaaay? Additionally, the founders that want the stuff the chinese playerbase will get, but don't want players who joined in open beta to get hands on the founder-exclusives now get to taste their own attitude. I attempted nothing and just pointed out how it will bring a bit of satisfaction for me if the chinese players get exclusives that our playerbase might desire too. Some players will certainly get to taste a few of their own pills this way and might overthink their egoism. :) Wonderful for me perhaps, not good in principle though as it wouldn't be necessary if exclusivity would stay in non-ingame-items/goodies (like access to the design-council, badges and pics for example). What is this? Some people were saying on the FB group about an exclusive Warframe for China users only, and exlusives Nunchuks, which can be seen used by Ash near the end of the video... 1:40 I think...
