it reloads per shell but is missing the ability to interrupt the reload to fire with whatever shells are  loaded at the time should you desire to

you can interrupt it with a movement of somekind but obviously function wise firing the weapon makes the most sense like irl pump action shotty you dont have to load all the shells at once

this one little thing would solve the problem, hoping it was just a oversight

oh it was changed/patched ? excellent !

I believe it has been.

Yes, it's been patched.

It's still a bit...awkward, but the damage the gun does is noteworthy.

At least you can keep it topped up and/or reload as you go. Before the patch, it was destined for the shelf.

And yea, there seems to be a persistent bug that will try to reload after every shot. Sprint cancelling seems to both remedy and cause this issue.

Yeah just tried this in-game, it's fairly borked, and quite useless at the moment (compared to its former glory). It used to be the most archetypally-videogamey-shotgunny shotgun in the game, that you could fire off a few bangs in quick succession in a tight spot with, now it's kind of awkward to use and you don't know quite what's going on.  Plus there's some sort of reloading glitch or something with an annoying repeating audio effect.

Can't say that the Strun is useless right now. It's far from. It's just... unreliable.
That delay between reloading and actually firing is...                        rather long.
I wouldn't trust my life to that... wretched thing.
