Best Mouse For Warframe?

Probably 'cus they like them extra LEDs under their mouse that they'd never actually stares at for longer than 10 minutes and because it's expensive.

And the best thing about simple mouses is that you can just repair it more cheaply, since those parts are widely available in the place I live in. Not so sure about the specialised mouses, but for what I know, their spare parts are harder to come by.

Why would you even repair a cheap mouse.

Anyway, you ain't paying for LEDs in a more expensive mouse. In my eyes, an investment in a better mouse is completely worth it as long as you don't go overboard with it. I'd never pay for crap like Razer, 100 Euros. But a middle ground at 50 is probably going to pay off.

Because the parts are much cheaper than the whole mouse (especially when I have a good relationship with the owner), I know how to disassemble and repair mouses, and I can test to see whether the replaced part has a better performance than the stock part.

In short: A fun game to pass the time.

I map some keys on to my mouse so that I can access them more easily (like 1-4 for warframe powers). I come from a controller background (in gaming terms) so it is kind of difficult to reach those buttons (and others) quickly and without looking.

I use the keyboard, mainly because I can type very fast without looking at the keyboard (thanks to a bit of training and lots of Pinyin typing).

I can type pretty decently without having to look at the keyboard, Its just that taking my index fingers off of the f and j keys and putting them back on can cause a split second delay which can kill me.

F and J? What setup are you using, because I never touch these keys at all.

I've been using a $15-$20 mouse (can't remember the exact price) for well over 5 years now. Still works like a charming young princess and still play shooter as awesome as the day she was brought. I don't see the need to pay over $20 for a mouse, really. Some people just really really want a cool mouse and think it's cool but are completely clueless when asked about 'em. Like a lot of Apple's iPhone users.

Except Apple products cost hundreds of dollars, and here we are talking about an extra 20 dollars (usually)

Considering they last you at least a year, I'm fine with spending a little extra.

Or maybe it's because a nice gaming mouse is far more responsive and precise than a cheap Walmart mouse. I also have all 4 powers, melee, and weapon swapping mapped to my mouse. Kinda handy.

Who has ever, at any place on this planet, repaired a cheap mouse? Seriously, I mean, wow.

Never sure why most people here recommend specialised/more expensive mouses, when a simple mouse from a computer store would do well and potentially last much longer.

Here's the deal, any mouse can be "good enough" when you are playing with a high cpi and high sensitivity since it is not moving that much inside the mousepad. Problem comes for low cpi users, i.e ~400 cpi, and the lowest sensitivity you can set on warframe. In addition, some people do not play only warframe, but play other fps games that are more competitive and properly executed for pvp and use a low sensitivity to pull more precise shots. Some cheap mice apart from having a sensor that can't track, they also have either positive or negative acceleration, or have angle snapping. Thus the need for a mouse with a better sensor than some cheap $15 from bestbuy or walmart. Sadly, the $15 when using 400 dpi and a sensitivity of less than 1.7, for example let's say on counter strike, will lose track of the surface during hard flicks/swipes and will put the crosshair looking either to the sky or to the ground, instead of where you intended. Other people although not requiring a sensor may need extra buttons, maybe they play "X" mmorpg and want to bind them to mouse instead of the keyboard, or whatever. Hence, they are willing to pay more than $20 for a mouse that can do the job they need.

You don't have to believe me, you can keep thinking a $15 mouse is as good as a, let's say, a logitech 502, g402, or g303, or ss rival, or some zowie, for every task and for every purpose. For that, there's google. Plenty of threads detailing the importance of a mouse sensor with graphs and numbers. Some people didn't even have to read anything online, they experience it themselves, and its frustrating when a cheap mouse loses track. If I had a dollar for every person I've spectated or seen in demos that have lost track of the surface, I could probably buy the 4300 plat package every month without using my own money.

Why would you not, when all that is broken is just a single button, and everything is fine (including the chassis)? I am not going to buy another mouse when I can fix it myself.

Misstyped. I keep 1 hand on mouse. I put my other index finger on f (So i know where I am on the keyboard) and the other fingers on w, a, d, and space (thumb).

I just map almost all the keys to my left hand, bar one or two keys that I would almost never use in solo. For gaming, I move my left index finger to D instead of F, so that I can access Roll, Sprint, Crouch, Reload, Waypoint, Camera Change, View Team, Switch Weapon, Switch to Melee, Alternate Fire, Press to Talk and Text rather swiftly.

Interesting. I may have to try a similar setup in the future. Thanks for the advice.

Obviously, the Apple Magic Mouse is the best mouse, period.

I just adore how it's exquisitely crafted from the highest quality aluminium and glass.

It uses Apple proprietary laser tracking technology that's much more advanced than anything else on the market today.

I'm not sure why you would even consider anything else.

Praise be to Jony Ive.

Because spending 10$-20$ every few years is not exactly a big deal? I work in IT and have for about 2 decades. I have never, ever, seen a mouse repaired, lol.

I get a few orders of people sending me mouses to repair, and I make a deal with them to not charge them if the mouse is broken beyond repair, but I get to keep the mouse for disassembly and part selling (or replacement for my mouse).

Besides, my belief is: If repair is more advantageous than buying a new one, then do it or learn how to do it, which is the case for why I do mouse repairs rather than going off to buy a new one if the mouse is broken but still fixable.

Oh cmon, now you're just talking nonsense. No one is sending you cheap mice to repair. That's just ridiculous. No one would waste time trying to get a 10$ item fixed. I really don't understand why you're even saying such things. Kinda strange.

Strangely enough, they actually do.

And how would you know no one would "waste time trying to get a 10 dollar item fixed", when I (and the other people I work with) do work at backstage for video productions and have to fix jacks (both video and audio), when it can be brought for even less than 10 dollars? A bent jack? We just clamp it to bend it back a bit. Broken connection? We just grab a pair of scissors, and start trimming wire, rather than buying another wire with a video/audio jack already attached to it.
