The short version is that CC frames are the way to go. don't kill but what you need as the enemies just keep spawning. try to have 4x CP and take viral/heat damage for when you need to kill. but as the above Tenno stated, youtube vids are a good way to go if you can''t find someone in game that can teach you on the go(this is the best way IMO)

Step 1: Know your role

Every Raid requires co-operation between 5 to 8 different players, most of which won't use microphones. Such a situation necessitates knowing what your role is going to be going in and restraining yourself from overextending.

First, every raid absolutely NEEDS an Energy Vampire Trinity, or the entire run (and the first stage in particular) will fall apart very rapidly.

Other popular frames include

Loki/Banshee/Mirage, to stun crowds of enemies

Volt Prime, to carry batteries

Frost, for various odd jobs in stage 2

Valkyr, to be a revive slave

Nova, to help the group move around

Also find yourself powerful weapons, such as Dread/Paris Prime, Soma Prime, Hek/Vaykor Hek, Boltor Prime, basically anything that can kill level 90 enemies. Weapons with Syndicate AoE effects -- such as Burston Prime + Gilded Truth or a Sancti Tigris -- can also be quite helpful

Step 2: Preparation

Bring Ciphers, health restores, and energy stores. Bring LOTS of them. Level your frames and weapons. Potato your frames and weapons. Bring Viral damage. If your squad doesn't have four Corrosive Projections, bring Corrosive damage too

Step 3: Familiarize yourself with the map and mission type

This is by far the most crucial step, and the one that gets lots of newbies killed in raids. Feel free to watch videos and figure out where the important buttons are and where you will be going. Know where the buttons are, where the hackable consoles are, where the hijack target will be travelling, and where your group will need to be to advance

If you're having trouble, your group will almost certainly place waypoints for you to follow, as it helps veterans co-ordinate and beginners communicate

Step 4: Stay with the group

Don't wander off; level 90 enemies will tear through your hitpoints. Trying to revive you when you're two rooms away surrounded by level 90s is a huge pain for your group to contend with. ESPECIALLY don't wander off during stage one, when you need to stand on buttons to let teammates through doors

Step 5: Prioritize crowd control over lethal force

It is actually more beneficial to stun/blind/otherwise disable enemies without actually killing them, if possible. Stunned enemies are mostly harmless, but dead enemies will be instantly replaced with fresh ones who will be more than happy to open fire the nanosecond they see you

Step 6: Tritium Bombs

Handling Tritium Bombs is the make-or-break in proving that your raid group has what it takes to beat Vay Hek. Fittingly, it's the first challenge.

Four Cicero Toxin Injectors must be destroyed with Tritium Bombs. Tritium bombs need 1250 energy to be charged up, and the bomb carrier can't use his abilities or primary weapon to defend themself. Keeping them alive and fed energy is your highest priority. Having to keep running back to the center to pick up new bombs is a real chore and drains morale fast

After the bomb is charged fully, you're not done. Each Toxin Injector is shielded by four hackable panels. Follow  the orange wires on the ground to help find the panels. Give your bomb carrier a nice place to hide while your team hacks the panels (Frost comes in handy).

Step 7: The eight Grineer buttons

Stage two starts with a giant room and an impenetrable door that can only be opened with a special SUPER hack. The door will only open if every Tenno is standing on a button. But the correct order is random (and is only revealed one at a time) and if a Tenno steps off a button, your team has to start over. Just to make things more obnoxious, the buttons are labeled "3" through "9", but in the Grineer alphabet instead of English

Do not stand on the wrong button; your entire team will die. Do not jump off of or leave your button; your entire team will die. Do not get killed while on a button; your entire team will die. Do not get hit by a Scorpion; your entire team will die

This is where stunning enemies really comes in handy. Mirage or Excalibur w/ Stretch and Prism spam can keep the entire room blinded if they position themselves correctly

Step 8: The Hijack

After the super hack, you have to steal a Fomorian core. This is more or less a regular Hijack mission, with two big twists. The first is that...

A level 99 Grustrag Three team will attack you. Luckily, they can't attach their Restraining bolts if they kill you

The second is that certain sections of the rail line are electrified; the electricity must be turned off to let the core advance.

Stand on the buttons to turn off the electric rails; do not leave them for any reason until the bomb is past the electric rails. Only one person should be pushing the core cart (Frost, with his huge shields pool, works nicely)

Step 9: Vay Hek

Last but not least, we have the final battle with Hek himself. Unfortunately, he's drawing energy from five bunkers to keep himself invincible. To turn his shield off, you need to drop Tritium Bombs inside the bunkers.

Luckily, these Bombs don't take as long to charge up in this battle, only needing about 500 energy. Unluckily, you need to stand on buttons to open the bunkers. Follow the color-coded wires from each doorway to the corresponding buttons

Standing still to keep buttons pressed while Vay Hek attacks you with missiles is frustrating. Frost will come in handy, as will Loki's decoy. Be sure not to accidentally lock your bomb carrier inside a bunker

1st: You need a mic.

2nd:You need people willing to take you there... that's the best way in explaining it to you while the game proceeds... you need to see in order to understand it. To much to explain in writing.... and on youtube you might see the 'idea' basics, but playing is the best because you get to feel the game and see while proceeding!

Why do I need a mic? Can I just type in chat? My typing is decently fast and my mike is horrible.

Because of the speed of the game, people can't be bouthered to type... it takes to much of your precious time and attention.

The Raid/Trial is a highly teamwork game part. You can't deviate or be playing around! You loose 1 person before the second part and after achieving the first objective of the game... then forget it! you'll need to restart, while keys take 6 hours to craft!

Hi. I wanna do raids except I don't know what to do. Please, explain what I should do for each (if there is more than one) raid. Thanks

Wiki is safest option IMO as the Trial has been tweaked since forum guides and youtube videos were made.  However, that being said, a live visual of things helps a ton. So watch a trust worthy video on youtube, like on

, and read the wiki page right afterwards so if they're are any differences hopefully you'll pick up on them (wiki should the more trusted resource, but not always of course). You'll also get a double reinforcement of the information, yay long term memory tricks.

After you've studied it, best you can do is find someone(s) to talk to 1 on 1 about how they complete the phases, and try a few strategies yourself either by coordinating a group or just joining a Recruiting Chat invite (you'll be doing what they prefer for the latter).  This is of course assuming you don't have a group to use voice chat with, as that is the best way to go about these things IMO.  I could talk to ya if you don't have someone else (like a clanny, etc) already; add me in game and pm me.
