They can't, it was built as a surrogate. Layman's term? Void energy too powerful, Tenno are affected with Void Energy due to void jump accident, Orokin went 2spooky m8, then the orokin built the frame to secure the immense and powerful Void energy. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tenno ended up in cryostasis on the Orokin moon. Mirage didn't die, The Tenno did, in the old war, they were controlling them from a place. Yet how do you think Sentients can just pop out of nowhere? Since tenno had no idea they control the warframe and not actually are them, the death trauma even through transference may cause neural damage. Well, if the Tenno was in the void, and the Mirage warframe is lost, Lotus lost that daughter, she is in the void, where Lotus will never be able to go see her, she won't wake up, because her proxy is dead. Tenno powers could be like: Power 1: Hand beam from the quest Power 2: Some defensive void buff? (like Link, Shatter Shield, and etc) Power 3: Some radial knockdown/stun Power 4: Transference - Take direct control of your currently equipped Warframe and use it in. It's mostly just speculation, but I've thought that, due to the close connection between the Tenno and the Warframes, the mental strain caused by the complete destruction of the Mirage Warframe caused the Tenno controlling it to die. If the Tenno feel the pain and damage done to a Warframe, than it's entirely in the realm of possibility that total destruction of a Warframe while the Tenno is still operating it causes the Tenno to die.
