No, he's a punch-based frame.

Enemy in front of you?  Punch him.

Enemy across the room?  Run over and punch him.

Enemy trying to attack you first?  Beat him to the punch.

Enemy needs to bind some papers together?  Get him a hole punch.

Enemy at a party?  Serve him some punch.

Considering his primary (and arguably most powerful) ability is built around melee both in function and scaling, his design is a big punchy dude and he's referred to as a Brawler, it's probably safe to say yes, but he's not only viable with melee.

Enemy telling a joke? Spoil the punchline.

So what melee do you recommend then??

Base damage is affected by Power Strength and the Melee Combo Counter.

Landslide is also affected by equipped melee mods including:
Base damage (e.g., Steel Charge), elemental damage, Impact damage (e.g., Primed Heavy Trauma), critical damage, critical chance, and status chance mods.

Landslide is not affected by the equipped melee weapon's stats or other melee mods including weapon augments (e.g., Justice Blades), class-specific mods (e.g., Covert Lethality), or stat-modifying skins (e.g., Manticore).

It works same as Excalibur, so use whatever melee you want; that said, you should find an Impact based weapon since you want to put in Primed Heavy Trauma and it would be a waste on a Slash/Puncture melee weapon if you end up using it outside power #1.

Look for Bo Prime and Jat Kittag!

One step below those there's Fragor and Magistar.

You have forgotten to mention the War.

Element mod still works right? Or ill just mod it with mods that have impacg

Yes. The wiki lists everything that affects Landslide.
