I'm Afraid That The Rare Event Mods Will Become Unavailable In No Time [Looking At You, Argon Scope]

Well people seem to be absolutely decimating Torment because he drops Argon Scope. I'm afraid that he'll end up dead before I get the chance to farm him enough and it'll go for 500+ plat after that so...am I screwed?

okay here is a tip for you, whenever he is on an interception mission, dont activate the mission till you've killed him. Then if he drops something good, do the mission, if not, abort. doesn't save your damage.

You can do this on all mission types. It slows the kill time, allowing more precise and efficient farming. Most health for the Most rare drops.

Don't worry, man. He's easily farmable, has guaranteed mod drop, and will stay around for a week-ish.

My bet is the rare mods will be worth around 40-80p at the end of the event.

There will still be a chance to get any of the mods once the final part of event shows up.

 

20 new Event Mods are here, and can be earned as drops from Defeating Acolytes or by playing the bonus final challenger mission.

all of the mods will be dropped from the last guy that will stay for 3 days after all other acolytes have been defeated. even though drop chance will go rly low on that guy (from 2.0% to 0.67%)

I mean, it all boils down to another dumb RNG. How did I spend the evening? Entering Acolyte missions, butchering them (Valkyr does the job really well), checking the drop and aborting if it's another one I don't need (read: another Hydraulic Crosshairs). Yay, fun!

The final boss at the end of the event will drop all the mods, as I understand it. Past that, they'll probably be added to the rest of the game some time after the event concludes, like most other event mods. You'll be fine.

Yeah, this was datamined. I wouldn't worry about these mods too much, there should be quite a few in circulation during the 'final battle'.

It's definitely possible. It's probably at least a week away, and the devs have a habit of changing numbers up until the last minute.

It does save the damage, I tested it. Attacked the Acolyte, dropped Hydraulic Crosshair, aborted. It added to my Acolyte kill counter.
