Starchart 3.0 and Void rewards

Devstream 72 confirmed one of my lasting concerns about Starchart 3.0: that it wouldn't address the elephant in the room of acquiring Prime parts at all. Steve talked about alleviating burnout, but only in terms of changing the tileset and perhaps gameplay; he said NOTHING about the true problem, which is and remains RNG.

All the "oh look, this time it's a Capture mission on Earth" won't fix anything if you're still never going to get the parts you're after--and it'll only make things WORSE given you won't even be able to specify what you're after like you currently can (to a degree) by doing a particular mission. All DE are doing is polluting the rest of the game with the problems that ruined the Void, and making those problems worse as well.

And no, "use Trading" is not an answer--Trading chat is a cesspool of people screaming desperately to be heard over one another, trying to sell items nobody wants to people trying to scan the fast-moving walls of text for the items they're after. An auction house is needed as soon as possible, as well as some kind of Group Finder functionality to do the same for Recruiting chat.

We need methods of making guaranteed progress, so that players don't waste hours on yet another high-level Survival, earn nothing useful to them, sit back in their chair and think "what a waste of my time."

Because that's a guaranteed way to make people give up on your game--and thus not want to give you any more money.

TL;DR: Unless Starchart 3.0 actually addresses reward RNG, it will fix NOTHING and only make player burnout WORSE.

dude chill they probably are going to change how rng works maybe make it like the sorties where it reduces the drop rate of a certain prime part after getting it from the void it still in th early stages

Given they haven't put such a fix in the current system, you'll have to forgive me for not believing they'd bother putting it in the new one if it's as far-off as you say it is.

I'm going to suggest you try http://warframe.market/

It isn't officially affiliated with any part of the game, or of DE, but it's very robust and saves a ton of trouble. List what you're selling, what you're buying, show people when you're online and in-game. Even send messages on-site if you want.

Use with caution, and take care of your account information (obviously) - we don't want DE troubled with stories of "this guy from some website stole my account!"

Aside from all that obvious stuff, I find it super useful.

That's how balance works. Since void missions are super easy and farmable, they HAVE to put an abysmally low drop rate on primes to justify their rarity. If prime parts had a 30% drop rate, everyone would be able to get every prime easily, and there'd be 0 point in trading prime parts, or prime access.

The fundamental part of the existence of the RNG is to make you frustrated, buy platinum and get the part you need. RNG is a valued labor worker for DE that they can make money that they can bring bread to the table.

So in one aspect we are not fighting against grineer, infested, corpus or corrupted. But we are actually fighting against RNG. To reduce the burnout DE is making the fight against RNG bit more interesting. So I doubt they change RNG that much: they need to pay the bills, provide food to their families and so on.

Commas, man. Here, have some ,,,,,,,,,,,,

P.S. What OP says is DE doesn't see current RNG as a problem, so most likely they don't have any real plans on improving it.

I'm just as disillusioned, I don't want to be, but I can't help it, there are so many terrible things ;_;

They don't reduce the chance. You're simply DENIED your earned duplicate reward and given 25 cores instead.

I suspect a fail so epic it will be reverted and never reach consoles. Simply put, I've yet to see or hear ANYTHING at all about new starmap that doesn't scream absolute disaster.

Starchart 3.0 sucks! I hope Starchart 4.5.5.0 fixes this mess!

Oh wait, its not out yet, we don't know anything about it.

Why would they fix the current system, when they have are going to replace it with a new one? There is no point in doing that. lol

Why bother enjoying life when we're all going to die anyway?

Wow. Really? The new map will be coming as of 19. Not sure witch 19, but I am guessing it will be there. They have to prioritize what there working on, so what is the point of fixing a system that they are going to replace. Not only that, but a replacement they are working on, and that we have seen, and that is coming soon. If you want to be a $&*^, thats fine. But don't be a $&*^ AND an A******.
