Consigning kubrows

Recommended Posts

She's making an army that will join us in our last fight.

(or... I don't know... Sentients like Hunhow just look like greedy meat-eaters, who knows how much meat she needs every day...).

common theories:

- kept by the Lotus as guard dogs

- killed for meat

- killed for Fur

- thrown into Airlock

- blended for lulz

I'd like to think they aren't slaughtered, but who knows. there was that hilarious artwork though with a big laughing Lotus surrounded by Kubrows with "REJECTED" stamped on their faces in bright red ink... yeah.... I meet some crazy people here..

Nah they had it right. You toss them into the air lock then open the other side turning your ex-kuburow into yet more interstellar space junk... (Hopefully closing your side as not to decompress the ship)

Hey the fur/meat/blender ones are just economical, why waste a good resource?

Why people care about weak and helpless? Empathy, kindness, humanism. The foundation to keep us civil.

Spoiler

Ferdynan asks: Do you have any idea of what is the Lotus doing with our consigned Kubrows?

Consigned Kubrow go through one of two programs, each designed to make use of the Kubrow as best possible. Kubrow that are still able to perform duties such as guarding a specified object or location, assisting in the retrieval of dropped goods, or hunting specific targets are rehomed with appropriate operatives.

Kubrow consigned with complications such as pre-existing genetic defects, extensive wounds from combat or other conditions are given medical treatment and provided a home in one of several Kubrow facilities designed to provide care and research.

Most Kubrow live out the rest of their lives in relative comfort -- with exception to K-U40 Incident 001, where a miscalculation in treat pressurization caused an internal rupture that shattered the hull of Compound 13. The resulting explosion claimed the lives of four Operators and 247 Kubrow. It is unknown whether the majority perished in the initial blast and were spared the subsequent collision with a nearby asteroid as the Compound's course was radically altered.

A cautionary tale on the value of proper maintenance when switching from hot to cold snacks, if there ever was one

The money that comes from consigning then goes to care and feeding. The are kept until they are adopted by a loving home. Some grineer kid or corpus kid getting they're first pet that the tenno didn't want.
