Question

So combined it gives 285% crit chance. so a weapon with 10% crit will become 38.5% crit?

Also why do people recommend to get corrosive on a weapon with next to 0% status chance?, it gives extra damage but does not get a remove armor proc right?.

Corrosive damages does increased damage agains Ancients / Gunners / Smaller Units

And the proc helps agains any armored unit to reduce multiple times their armor, even on bombards/napalm which their weakness is radiation, but still helps

In what context exactly were those recommendations? If it's just a "here's my build" response or something,
it's common to not list your elemental setup for every Faction seperately but "default to" the Corrosive build.

Corrosive is just a very good all-round element, the proc is highly useful and you get massive bonus damage against a bunch of enemies.
Sure, (only) Proto Shields resist it but so what, Corrupted Nullifier bubbles have a damage cap anyway
and for regular Corpus missions you'll probably have other elements (though Bursas now also reward Corrosive damage in those, heh).

Even a low status chance on a rapid fire weapon (also Multishot) might still produce a non-useless number of procs.

that makes me question something brb need to test.

add crit delay to the mix yo get 333%

dread hits at a 216.5% crit chance with them on. it actually red crits every shoot. its pretty cool actually

Yes.

The damage effectiveness multipliers (e.g. +75% for Corrosive against Ferrite Armor) apply both as an increase in damage and a reduction in enemy armor for that calculation. In the previous example, an attack dealing 100 Corrosive damage against an enemy with 100 Armor would be calculated as 175 damage against 25 Armor.

Even if you do not get the Corrosive procs, the reduction in armor during damage calculation is a huge bonus against enemies with those armor types.

You need to understand this: There is element damage and element proc. All of them may deal different amounts of damage depending on armor type and at the same time each have it's own proc. Proc and damage are 2 different things.

Corrosive deals extra damage to Ferrite armor (most common armor). It's proc is to lower armor (any armor (yellow bar)).

Radiation deals extra damage to Alloy Armor (heavier units). It's proc is to open friendly fire.

Slash deals extra damage to Cloned Flesh. It's proc is Bleed DoT.

That's why even with no status chance at all you can still mod to a certain element type.

If you need a bigger clarification, either refer to the wikia or ask away. I'm open to explain.
