Bleed Out Build DIscussion Thread

Question

In this thread I would like to ask anyone who sees it to tell me what they think of my Bleed Out Builds and ask for advice on how to improve them, any use full feedback is much appreciated. Here are the builds :

I don't have condition overload yet so I cant say for certain, but relentless combination is absolutely amazing, and it seems like the combined damage+crit from boosting your combo to absurd levels would be more effective for longer runs.

I would save condition overload for non-slash heavy IPS weapons using multi-element status builds, where you'll be getting more then only one or two statuses on an enemy at a time (of the three physical damages, only slash and puncture count towards condition overload, and heavily weighted towards slash, you wont be getting much of the other two anyways), discounting procs from other sources.

Telos Boltace waves are 100% unaffected by the combo counter. If you're planning on exclusively using waves for damage, then Blood Rush, Weeping Wounds, and Drifting Contact will have no effect on it whatsoever. Replace those with speed/elemental mods unless you're relying on the actual tonfas for damage.

 

For the Atterax, if you don't mind a slidespam build, I'd replace Condition Overload with Maiming Strike. There's currently an bug interaction that allows MS to stack with Blood Rush, so you can have a 684% crit chance at only 3x combo if you use the two together.

Correction: MaimStrike + BloodRush interaction appears to be intentional.

If you throw relentless combination on there it clears that problem right up, all those guaranteed slash procs are now generating combo points at an absurd rate. The combo counter itself won't boost the waves damage, but blood rush sure will.

Apparently I'm getting things wrong all over the place today, bloodrush doesn't affect the waves either (it's still awesome if you, as you said, plan to actually use the tonfas for damage).

Are any speed mods necessary on the Telos Boltas?

I haven't gotten it yet (though I plan to soon). So I haven't been able to test it out well yet and it makes it hard to make the right choices.

:O that is is true, why didn't I look it up sooner LOL. THat's nub of me.

Any suggestions on the other builds, like the Venka prime build?

Honestly, I can't really comment on the Venka/Nikana/Kamas/Galatine. I have little to no experience with any of those weapons since I swear by Atterax/TBoltace/Orthos in 99% of my gameplay, so I have no idea of what specific builds would work well on each one.

My only advice is to start with a standard crit build as a base for each one (Pressure Point + Berserker + Blood Rush + Organ Shatter + DriftingContact/BodyCount), and then modify it to your taste and see if it works. If you don't mind abusing bugs, then building for Slash procs may work nicely, since keeping an enemy consistently ragdolled (which is very easy to do with stances like Tempo Royale) can cause stealth multipliers to begin applying to the enemies-- and DoT procs have a bugged interaction with stealth where they deal 64x damage (512x for Gas procs) instead of the intended 8x.
