Trying to solve stutters/performance, completely lost.

Question

First things first:

CPU: i7-3820 @ 3.60 GHz

16GB RAM

Win7 64bit

Nvidia Geforce GTX 460

Now, for a while I ran at a playable (over 30fps and steady wherever it was) framerate at High settings with a couple things turned off for preference and Local reflections off for performance. Now, I have most everything turned off or low, and somehow I keep getting massive stutters on Earth, Certain tiles with lots of light/fog/particles, but only when I'm looking in certain directions. Most tiles/maps don't have problems when I turned HDR, Volumetric Lighting and Adaptive exposure on.

Anyone have ideas on how to solve the stutters? Pictures of trouble spots can be provided, if needed. At this point I just want smooth semi-decent graphics.... since before Second Dream I had no problems outside the reflections.

There's something fishy going on, I don't get any problems with my integrated HD 530 (which SHOULD be weaker than your GTX 460, not sure).

See if "multi-threaded rendering" is ON in the launcher settings, also check DX10 and DX11. (400 series had support for DX11 right?)

All checked.

I'd also recommend trying to unpark your CPU cores. Unparking your cores often yields a significant performance boost for Intel CPUs.

I have a rather old thread detailing how to go about unparking your CPU cores here:

Will try this now.

EDIT: All unparked, still getting stutters, but it at least is now a few smaller stutters instead of one bigger one.
