Question about my Orthos Prime build

Now I'm replicating this build except I only have primed reach, now he doesnt go into detail why he has that Primed fury instead of body count, and I'm trying to understand why body count is not more useful here. So would it be smarter to put body count or fury? And why?

Probably because he has so much range he's gonna hit enemies from far away and keep up the counter. Me personally, I took off organ shatter and replaced it with Drifting Contact and I still shred level 100 heavy gunners.

Body count is only for combo duration... so unless you go on a 1 hour survival its not needed.

Personally, I only use Body Count for Riven challenges.

You could try things out, berserker + primed fury is too fast for me, instead of berserker I use drifting contact (body count works too).

That's fast enough for me, you can put body count in instead of fury, and keep berserker but then you will have that "spool up time". There are many good builds, they all work but some part of a build is always due to personal preference. I have used elemental builds in the past, but now I only use slash on orthos prime, it's not better per se, it's what I like :)

Maiming Strike is miles better than Blood Rush for spin attack weapons like polearms.

Blood Rush actually works on Maiming Strike's crit bonus,
giving you guaranteed red crits halfway through your first slide attack :D

It actually does not work on Maiming Strike bonus.

The reason to not use both is because there's 7 better mods to use.

FWIW / because curiosity, the earliest mention of this combo I could find on the Wiki is still almost a year old, though.

Tested and BR seems to increase Maiming Strike bonus now.

But there's no proper mod to take away for BR. There's no chance in adding BC or DC too so it'll just be BR for combo mods. PFury is the smallest dps boost but it also affects how the weapon handles and I'm fond of pfury+berserker+strike. Taking out any other mod though is too big of a loss to use BR instead.
