Wondering why this happened

So i was in the Derelict doing the Defense mission and suddenly this happened a random person like ordis started to speak and spawned tones of these (i killed around half before taking this)   

I was just wondering if someone could tell me if this was normal or if it was not a part of the mission

It's a syndicate death squad. Cephalon Suda is the one in question who wanted you dead.

Maybe because you used a derelict defense key, or was with a group that used one.

You got attacked by one of Suda's death squads. You have a negative reputation with her, likely because of you assisting a syndicate she doesn't like.

That is a syndicate hit squad. They have a chance of spawning in missions much like the stalker but only happen once your standing is negative with one of the syndicates. Judging by the enemies, it is Cephalon Suda.
