Well, they did prime the Helios when it had lore about being designed by Alad V

I reckon they could pass something off about the infestation manipulating the original Hirudo from the Primeish look to what it is now

Most of the prime items if not all tenno basin. There is no reason for example to a mire prime or gorgon prime or prova prime because these items are based on other factions. Those items could given something special variants which almost on pair with the prime items but the orokin technology is used by us mostly and there are rare examples like the seer which is a hybrid weapon.

Helios is tenno based but I am not read lore about it so it can be pretty much corpus but the lore can be overwritten any time.

The braton is a special example because the braton were used by corpus and they copy pasted the "prime" braton which is orokin - tenno tech and they recently reskinned the braton to appeal more like tennoish. The original skin for braton was corpus esque but they "fixed" that plot hole with reskinning the braton and maybe they changed the description aswell. 

There is no real walls against priming items if they feel it could benefit to them. Most of the time the best seller and op wepons get primes and there are weapons like the strun which still no have prime version but it is with us long ago.

Huh. DE need to do some cross-checking with that. Wiki admins made speculations about Sentinels being docile Sentients. We need more direct statement from DE.

hang on, are you sure that Sol isn't actually just a Helios that was previously modified by Alad V to become more combat capable? how do you know that Helios came after Sol and not Vice-Versa? granted, Helios looks more artificial than other Sentinels, and while Alad perhaps made Helios, I'm betting Helios came before Sol, not afterwards.

as for Hirudo, it's an Infested weapon, so it probably won't ever get a batter version, not that it really needs one anyway.

There's also a codex entry saying sentinels were found by a group of people from some ruins or something, not made (well, their base essence anyways). So every sentinels are backtracked tech, which makes any sentinels primed make sense (well, maybe except the G3's and the modified helioses from the index)

While I would like one, I'm perfectly fine with it's current standard version. It does more than enough for me to have it sit in my melee slot and very rarely gets swapped out.
