(XBOX)Fluffywolf36
Tenno โFedorovaโ Assault Rifle โA reliable, well-rounded, if slower-firing assault rifle with predictable vertical recoil. Use its enhanced zoom to pick off enemies at longer ranges.โ Lore: One of the most early forays into automatic weaponry by Orokin Archimedians, and an ancestorย to the Tenno โAvakanโ rifle series, the Fedorova may seem simplistic. It doesnโt have a unique burst gimmick, it doesnโt have a fire selector, and it canโt nail people to walls. It has noticeably lower damage than the Bruin, Argonak, and Buzlok, along with a lower fire rate than the Boltor Prime. It doesnโt come with an auto-spool system. And it doesnโt have a grenade launcher. Itโs just an assault rifle. And thatโs enough. Itโsย a reliable and powerful weapon with balanced stats that occupy a happy medium between these three high-damage offerings, high-velocity bullets, and precision. Unlike most weapons in Warframe, it has predictable recoil that gradually moves upwards with sustained fire, as opposed to spraying bullets in the general direction of a target. While the Fedorova can just as easily be defined by what it doesnโt have, thereโs one great advantage itย doesย have - and thatโs being a powerful, versatile all-rounder rifle thatโs capable anywhere from the tight corridors of spaceships to the wide expanses of the Orb Vallis, Plains of Eidolon, Ganymedean paddies, and Dziewannan sight lines. Compared to its descendant, the Tenno Avakan Prime, it has higher damage, butโฆ lower magazine size, lower fire rate, status, (taking the Avakan's hyperburst into account) and lower crit potential. Itโll always crit better, though. ย Stats Trigger: AutoFire Rate: 7Magazine: 40Reload: 3.0sDamage: 5028 Puncture13 Slash9 ImpactCrit Chance: 25%Critical Multiplier: 2.3xStatus Chance: 25% Special TraitsTap alt fire for increased zoom! ย Artist Notes: Okay, this isnโt quite as interesting as every other weapon Iโve made. No gimmicks ofย anyย kind. But I wanted to make something that stood out among my various weapons by virtue of just beingโฆ normal. Every assault rifle Iโve had has included some kind of gimmick, and - as my fictional Warframe arsenal easily rivals the gameโs in terms of sheer size - it felt right to have a perfectly normal alternative.ย Mechanically, this is inspired by my early days back in Destiny 1, using high-damage, low-RoF weapons in the vein of Shadow Price, and Iย thinkย the Vanquisher. The Shadow Price is actually the one I remember most. That said, I was much more of a hand cannon fan. I didย horrible thingsย to people with Thorn and a Party Crasher. I once got 41 kills in one match with that stuff. That was fun. But thatโs beside the point. It was the most boring but practical sort of assault rifle I could think of, so that made sense. This is actually inspired by someย very oldย Studio Qube art from the earliest days of Warfare, which was never used. I was kind of interested in how it looked soโฆ prototypicalโฆ and I wanted a Warframe version of the Fedorov, widely considered one of the worldโs first assault rifles. I just had no idea how to make a Fedorov not just a photocopy of the actual weapon into Warframe until I saw said Qube art. ย ALSO:ย The Umbral Ayatan quest is coming up next! This was just sort of a spur of the moment thing. Edited August 27, 2022 by (XBOX)Fluffywolf36
Unus
ย ย While I cannot suddenly put up my data digestion opinion due to being the witching hour at the moment, but, I simply have to say, HOLY SHET on the quality you have conjured in the modern day! As I always tend to say, I remember when you were starting out and your sketches slowly evolved into sketches with some color on them. I deeply enjoy seeing the culmination of that in your latest works, where it has gone from "colors and patterns on a sketch" to "quite well blended and put together full blown pictures that look to be done in one go."! Well done! Now, to stabilize my sleep schedule so I can actually make any kind of leap in progress and not miss out on my "work schedule" by sleeping through the day.ย ย ย

The key is to use the gradient tool instead of paint fill. ๐ (One of the earliest drawings I ever colored)ย Then, when I was working on the Meridian here, I realized that I should try to make the color look less flat. There was a period back during my shotgun bender or something when I tried to make thingsย SUPER TEXTURED,ย but I had to teach myself to be a bit more hands-off sometimes.ย Sometimes it just looks cooler being smooth and polished. Totally honest, a lot of this wasย veryย much trial-and-error, like trying to use the "layer style" tab to try and add shadow and stuff.(Sidenote, using "drop shadow" is actually super helpful.) Also, CLONE STAMP. Really useful if I don't want to keep remaking the same thing over and over. I must admit, though, I have a weird sort of affection for theย earlier "colors and patterns on a sketch" ones - the Tessera is the first one where I really feel like I started making headway,ย and it Just Worksโขย on the Bruin and Somesha and maybe Estampida for some reason.ย Also, while we're complimenting each other, I gotta say also... thankย you.ย You've been there from the beginning, giving this thread life - and I wouldn't have had the urge to make these better, and eventually statย them without your input. This thread wouldn't be what it is without you, and for that, I thank you. (XBOX)Fluffywolf36
Quality Of Life Changes: Every now and then, I like to try and change older designs for the sake of streamlining, and making them more fun to play. Here's a few things that needed some TLC. Tenno 'Proxima' Grenade Launcher:ย As inspired by the Euston and @keikogiย (seriously, thanks again for that) , rounds now detonate within 0.8m of enemies. Grineer 'Volikor' AGL: Now has "Dumbfire" and "sticky" modes - Dumbfire just fires them automatically as standard, while sticky rounds fire silently. Reloading or switching back to dumbfire mode will automatically detonate the sticky grenades. I just didn't see the point in adding the held trigger mode. We already have altfire, why not just... use it? Tenno 'Quadrille' Shotgun: You can now zoom in while using burstfire. Removing that was a bad idea. I don't actually know what the damage is yet, and I likely never will. Likely... 340? Sure. Whatever. Let's go with that. New Amalgam Mod: Amalgam Quadrille Ammo Stock: +50% Magazine Size +50% status chance When switching to secondary weapons after a kill, they have a chance to not consume ammo for 10 seconds. Corpus 'Klystron' Microwave Beam Gun The explosions caused on kills now deal heat damage. Critical stats received a minor buff:ย ย ย crit chance - 28%ย ย ย ย crit multiplier - 2.3x ย ย ย status chance - 24% ย

Only very,ย veryย slightly critical damage on critical hits, and better status... but worse magazine capacity and base damage. The Lex Prime and even Aklex Prime are just sort of easier to handle and more conventional in general. The Estampida has a +50% headshot damage multiplier, at which point it starts outdamaging the Lex Prime series. And it's got extra zoom like the Veldt, so that should be helpful. Though it's still pretty outclassed by Lex Prime's sheer volume of fire. I... kind of didn't want a single pistol that was to Aklex Prime what the Pandero was to the Akvasto series (Good Lord, power creep is bad enough in this game) so I went and balanced it against a single Lex Prime instead. (XBOX)Fluffywolf36
Ganymede 'Riyo' Gyrojet Carbine โSwitch between impact and airburst modes with this Ganymedean gyrojet rifle, the larger counterpart to the โHiroโ pistol. Stenciled on its handguard are the words: โWell, This Machine kills Boxheads.โโ Lore The bigger brother to the โHiroโ pistol, and one of three standard rifles for the Ganymede Gendarmerie (aka G2). This weapon loads from an en-bloc magazine - simply pull the bolt back, and slide the clip in through the top, much like a Garand. After the rifle is expended, it will automatically eject the clip through the ejection port, making a loud โPINGโ noise whenever it hits something. The Riyo was invented towards the tail end of the Ganymede Uprising, built to fill the gap between sniper rifle and automatic weapon. Like the Hiro, it comes with an impact and airburst mode. Impact is harder to hit enemies with, but it can deal more status effects. Airburst mode travels faster, but it doesnโt cause as much status and doesnโt have as much crit. Still, itโs good for forcing enemies out of cover. The G2 often load these weapons with electric-damage gyrojets that hit enemies with less-lethal electric shocks.ย This particular Riyo is an E2 model, which trades the easy switch and high fire rate of airburst munitions for a Solaris-designed function that allows users to "overcharge" its gyrojet rounds to allow them to airburst in close proximity to enemies. It also comes with a function allowing you to tap altfire (It's midnight and I'm too lazy to technobabble my way out of this one) for increased zoom. ย Augment:ย Shock Rockets Replaces a portion of radial impact damage with electric damage. This goes in the Exilus slot! :Pย ย Artist Notes The Grineer counterpart to this is likely the Chakkhurr. While the Riyo does less damage, and has less crit, the idea is that it more than makes up for it in terms of fire rate, reload, and status. Kinda like the Zagro, which I made earlier - except this isnโt a sniper rifle.ย This was an idea Iโve been toying with for about a year. Iย wantedย to make a semiautomatic, Garand-inspired gyrojet carbine, but it just wasnโt working out. I couldnโt think of how to make zoom work. Eventually, I just gave up. ย STATS Fire Rate: 5 Magazine Size: 10Reload Time: 2.0s Impact Note: This does 60% of damage on impact and 40% radially.ย I was too lazy to do the math. (XBOX)Fluffywolf36
UMBRA'd SOONโข: How the Umbral Ayatan updatesย will work: So, for the past month or so, I've been teasing that I'm gonna be making something based on Umbral Ayatans. I figured I'd give you guys a quick preview of what to expect: The releases will be episodic. The first lesson I learned from @Almighty_Jadoย and @Unusย was to make sure updates aren'tย tooย wall-of-texty. Each update is going to be formatted like a film script - unfortunately, I have neither the time nor ability to animate them. But, well, scripting them as opposed to writing them in prose (A bit of PROSE lore is definitely coming soonโข, though, on the basis that's how I work 90% of the time and I can't imagine myself not using prose) seemed more evocative of how we actually experience this game. I'll also compile themย on another thread.ย That one will be linked to in the MASTER POST at the beginning. (...I really hope that doesn't get too... oversized.) Each one is going to come with a picture - possibly Gagarin's weapons, possibly another Umbral Ayatan, though I don'tย thinkย I can animate one. Definitely Gagarin himself. (XBOX)Fluffywolf36
Quest: Stardust Memories Update 1/? โUnlock the secrets of Ganymede and Gagarinโs history, and resolve a centuries-old mystery.โ The quest โStardust Memoriesโ is a quest meant to enrich the hidden lore of Ganymede and answer some of the questions I've had about the fundamental nature of Frames. Admittedly, Ganymede has been pushed to the back burner, on the basis that I'm afraid it'd become another grind island and I don't quite know how to make its resources and bounties interesting. But, I think this quest would push me out of a rut, I felt it'd be a fun experiment,ย and I didn't want the thread to be silent for too long, so I think it's an interesting one nonetheless. Requirements This quest can only be activated under the following conditions: Completed The Sacrifice. Acquired an Umbral Ayatan. Acquiredย Gagarin Completed Ganymedeโs intro quest. The quest does not actually start until youโve brought an Umbral Ayatan to TADIUS NGONIโs Superlative Memoratorium in the Tenno District of A Bao A Qu. What happens upon acquiring one is meant to be a mystery to anyone who picks it up. Ideally, this wonโt be included in patch notes. This quest isย notย required to get Gagarin, on the basis that if so, either I'd end up spoiling the big twist of The Sacrifice too quickly or I'd require people to progressย extremely farย across the star chart to get a single frame. Anyways. On with part 1! ย i. Acquiring an Umbral Ayatan. These mysterious Ayatans - accessible after receiving a quest that requires The Sacrifice - are scattered all over Ganymede, from the plains around A Bao A Qu to Ganymedeโs various nodes. Much like actual Ayatans, thereโs no guarantee as to where theyโll appear. Except in this case, theyโre restricted to Ganymede.ย Bringing an Umbral Ayatan to MAROO will result in the following bit of dialogue: Quote ย MAROO: โI didnโt even know this was possible! Youโre not going to want Endo here, Tenno. Not until youโve seen whatโs in them.โ A dialogue prompt will show up that says โWhat?โ will appear. MAROO: โYou really donโt know whatโs in these things, Tin Suit? I donโt blame you, itโs obscure information. Visit my dealer, TADIUS NGONI, in A Bao A Qu. Weโre going to need a specialist to get at this one.โ ย ย ii. The Memoratorium The Memoratorium is in the Tenno District of A Bao A Qu - the small slice of the city at the base of Chitorr Tower that Tenno are allowed to access outside of nodes that use the A Bao A Qu tileset. Itโs meant to be easy to miss, in an alcove behind one alleyway.ย The Memoratorium is a large Ganymedean warehouse under one of the massive towers, which houses various cryopods. Most of the technology is of Corpus origin. Thereโs a waiting room at the front, and neon everywhere. Also, thereโs plants on the wall that are very definitely not weed. Behind the desk, you find TADIUS NGONI. Heโs wearing the typical Renaissance-like clothing common to Ganymede. Talking to NGONI in a Warframe will result in the following dialogue: ย Quote ย NGONI: โUnless you have a way to copy your own memories through that tin suit of yours, we have nothing to offer each other. Business arrangements are rather hard without a mouth, donโt you think?โ As Ganymedeans are rather fearful of Warframes, heโs not receptive to your presence. The only option is to engage Operatorย mode, and show him the Umbral Ayatan. NGONI: โAnโฆ Umbral Ayatan?! Itโs not possible! I thought the Duviri and Corpus muckety-mucks had them all!โย Tenno: โMAROO said we needed a specialist to-โ NGONI: โThese Umbral Ayatans are extraordinarily rare, Tenno. These hold memories of pleasure beyond pleasure, of joys beyond the comprehension of most citizens of the Origin System.โ Tenno: โWhat are you talking about?โ NGONI: โThey didnโt tell you about them? I thought not. In brief, Tenno: Ayatans contain memories from the time of the Orokin. Of luxury beyond the wildest dreams, of comfort, of security. Something that even in our city, people lack. These memories can be somewhatโฆ intoxicating.โ Tenno: ย Quote ย Option 1: โRight. So, about this Ayatan...โ Option 2: โSo this is a drug den?โ NGONI will reply to option 2 with: โThanks to you, itโs an awful system out there. The least you can do isย let them have this.โ ย ย Tenno: โRight. So, about this Ayatanโฆโ NGONI: โWe need to find whatโs inside of it. The assistance of a Tenno could be quite helpful. Now, lower yourself into the pod. We need to know. You need to see why we donโt trust your kind on Ganymede.โ ORDIS: โI will patch myself into the pod to wake the Tenno at any sign of trouble.โ NGONI: โI already have a Cephalon to watch over the-โ ORDIS: โWith due DISRESPECT sir, this is MY TENNO. I simply DO NOT CARE. If anything happens to them, thenโฆโ NGONI: โThen?โ ORDIS: โYouโll find out.โ ย The Tenno lowers themselves into the podโฆ ย Part One Scene 1-1 Quote ย (The camera pans over a group of OROKIN. All of them have wildly differing skin colors from blue to even an almost hot-pink color, and WALLYโs usual VOID EYES.) OROKIN CHANTING plays, it seems itโs meant to accentuate their beautyโฆ Then something SLAMS AGAINST a door. The room SHAKES. The camera pans towards GAGARIN, who is standing in front of the door, holding it shut with his massive frame, using his hammer to bar it. Behind GAGARIN, we see that one Orokin appears to have a worried look on their face. Another one is holding what looks like a child or a dwarf of some kind. OROKIN 1, who is dressed in a uniform resembling that of a DAX, but gaudier, covered in medals, speaks up: OROKIN 1: โIt will protect us.โ OROKIN 2: โThatโs not what I heard sunward - Iโve heard theyโre going mad. Murdering Orokin, innocents, left and right!โ OROKIN 3: โThat must beโฆ rumor. Hearsay. Propaganda, some new weapon from the Separatist factions. Thatโs Impossible.โ OROKIN 1: โI oversaw the creation of this model myself. I know their ins and outs.โ (The camera pans back to GAGARIN. We focus on his faceplate.) GAGARIN: (Narrating): โWe were once protectors of the Origin System. We defended it from the mad machines of Tau. From injustice. From those who would break the greatest empire of Mankind, golden and pure.โ (The BANGING on the door grows more intense. We hear the screams of Valkyr, and somethingโฆ else. Something horrible.) GAGARIN (narrating): They called us Warrior-Gods, cast in steel and fury striking our enemies in a way they could never comprehend. The Golden Lords say they gave us the greatest gifts, bestowed the Ten-Zero children with the highest honors. ย But that is not the way of the Orokin. They take, and take, and take, eating the finest food from the table as we subsist on their leavings. We're just the favored pets that are honored with table scraps. Gaze upon what they took from me. ย They took my eyes, but still I see. They took my ears, but still I hear the screaming all around me. They took my mouth, and I must scream. GAGARIN walks towards OROKIN 1, and motions for their sword. It is a LONG TWO-HANDED NIKANA with a design on the handle that resembles Saturn. It looks really cool. OROKIN 1: โNo Tenno is complete without their melee weapon, correct? Iโve always preferred them to firearms. Simple. Elegant. Unable to break.โ He hands the unique NIKANA to GAGARIN. (A prompt appears. It reads โPRESS B TO KILL THEM ALLโ) GAGARIN then BEHEADS OROKIN 1. He turns to OROKIN 3. OROKIN 3: โNo! Youโฆ STOP! STOP IN THE NAME OF THE OROKIN EMPIRE!โ GAGARIN does not stop. He slowly shakes his head, one finger held to where his mouth should be. Itโs meant to look MOCKING. (The camera pans back to over Gagarinโs shoulder. You find that you have control of him. You are also armed with Gagarinโs โKOSMOSโ revolver shotgun sidearm, and a Boltor Prime.) You then KILL ALL THE OROKIN as many times as possible. GAGARIN: โThat mouth would be smiling as I told you why I killed every one of the bastards.โ ย โโโโโ ย Scene 1-2: The TENNO sits up from the pod, holding your head. Quote ย NGONI: โDid it make you feel better, to see how you consigned us all to this dark age? Consigned to the crossfire between barely-sentient abominations of flesh and steel, remorseless sadists thatโd stab you in the front for a credit, pirates, and the Infestation?โ TENNO: โIโฆ That wasโฆ We did this?!โ NGONI: โOnly you or theย Sentients could have done it. And the Sentients left this system years and years ago.โ TENNO: โBut we swore to protect the Origin System! We never would haveโฆโ NGONI: โYou did it, Tenno. You ripped apart the greatest civilization humanity has ever known. And you canโt even tell me why.โ TENNO: โGagarin said that there was a reason he did this! Maybe itโs in more of these Ayatans?โย NGONI: โIt doesnโt matter. And even if you could find any more, you still did it.โ ย ย (You then LEAVE THE MEMORATORIUM.) -โโโโโ-- Scene 1-3: The Orbiter Quote ย TENNO: โOrdis, itโฆ doesnโt make sense! Why would we kill the Orokin?โ ORDIS: โWhy would anyone RID THE WORLD OF THEIR - kill the Orokin?โ TENNO: โIโฆ the memories slip through my fingers like water. I remember remembering. But I lose it as soon as I try to grasp it. I rememberโฆโ (Thereโs a flash. The controller VIBRATES.) TENNO: โโฆPain. I remember pain. They did something to us. To our Warframes. Somethingโฆโ ORDIS: โWas it taking your memories? Not that I would know anything about that VIOLATION-โ TENNO: โSomething worse than that. And I think that if I look into Gagarinโs memories, I can understand what. He was shown massacring Orokin somewhere on Ganymede - Ordis, you were patched in to the memory pod. Can youโฆ pinpoint where it was? ORDIS: โI believe it was somewhere within Chitorr Tower. On the 180th level.โ ย ย

(XBOX)Fluffywolf36
ย Shotgun Status Changes To deal with the shotgun status changes, I've decided to make a quick run through of the changes to status on various shotguns in this thread. As such, the Somesha still has 11% status (why not?) and the Cascabel still has 15%.ย Quote Poyang Shotgun Mode Old Status: 28%New Status: 11%ย Pellet Count:ย 8 ย ย Quote 'Tenebrae' Shotgun Semi-auto modeOld Status: 37%New Status: 20%Pump-Action Mode Old Status: 20% New Status: 9% ย Quote Cephalon 'Spectacor' Shotgun Shotgun Mode Old Status: 30% New Status: 12% ย Quote Ganymede 'Chadam' Shotgun Auto ModeOld Status:ย 37%New Status: 20%Semi ModeOld Status: 30%New Status: 14% Note:ย Not... entirely satisfied with this one TBH. I kind of miss how the clear difference between status profiles would communicate a clear difference in how to build this. ย ย Quote Tenno 'Neophytou' Shotgun Old Status: 21%New Status: 10.5% Slug mode was not applicable, as that's just one projectile. ย On the one hand, the current stats seem pretty homogenous on paper. On the other, well.... I can't say shotguns weren't homogenousย beforeย this. The main reason there's so many crit shotguns here is because virtually all shotguns of note (except the Corinth) in-game all fell into a pretty similar rut with either 30% or 37% status, and I was having fun doing something different.
