saradonin
It's interesting how all those predictions failed to be the case with PoE. 1. Zenurik still provides good energy regen. 2. Archwings don't matter - they are means of transportation. Amesha could potentially be useful for protecting lures, but in reality Trinity + Chroma are all you need to make nice and clean captures. 3. Snipers and long range loadouts don't matter. Zoom level have been reduced and Warframe didn't turn out to be the new Delta Force: Land Warrior. Rushing and blasting entire group like a true space-ninja still works better than sniping them one by one. Only Vectis riven flippers made a good profit out of these speculations. 3a. Octiavia was supposed to be useless, but she turned out to be one of the easiest picks for T5 bounties (defend the console on armored vault - ok, drop mallet+amp, alt+tab, watch youtube/memes for a while, done). Why, it’s almost like this thread was an alarmist kneejerk response to misunderstood elements of the Devstream.

BornWithTeeth
Anyway, my actual conclusions? 1- Take it slow, figure it out. 2 - Vary your loadout, but be prepared for both long range and frenetic, explosive close range combat. Fighting dozens of Grineer on a truly open plain with Grineer air support is very different from fighting them in tight corridors. A level forty engagement on the Plains is an equivalent challenge to Sortie 1, and a full max rank Bounty is basically a mini-Sortie. 3 - Now is the season of the tank. Be prepared to drag out Rhino, Nezha, Frost, Atlas, Mesa, ‘frames which can take an absolute hell of a beating and keep fighting. Or alternatively bring Ivara and go full stealth. 4 - Returning to my mention of loadout, there are two other concerns: sustainability and air cover. Bounties are long missions, you stabd a reasonable chance of losing your Sentinel halfway through, and you will want weapons capable of shooting down low flying aircraft. That last item, about the aircraft? My honest recommendation is to bring a rapidfire Status Corrosive secondary, and a massive Crit primary. Burn off enemy armour, then snipe them out of the air. 5 - Enemy mortar fire is the end of days. Destroy mortar turrets and kill mortar Bombards on sight. 6 - Once you know how fishing and mining work, and do consult the wiki about that, it’s worthwhile buying a three day resource double booster and just getting a sack of fish and gems. Trust me. 7 - On the Operator side of things, get an Amp and upgrade to a proper built version ASAP. The difference it makes is staggering. Good hunting!
