Almagnus1
I was looking at the Gladiator Set, and I was curious if anyone has heard from DE how the mod sets would interact with something like Excalibur's EB or another similar exalted weapon. ScribbleClash
Usualy only weapon-specific mods do not carry over to exalted weapons.

I'm asking as (IIRC) neither Bloodrush nor Body Count work on Exalted Blade (and Mad kitty's Valkyr's claws for that matter), so it would be most interesting if the Gladiator worked with either. There's a very, very, very good reason why Blood Rush doesn't affect EB or Hysteria. Because if those monsters of abilities could orange crit consistently at a high multiplier (Hysteria would red crit alarmingly quickly), then it would not only bust the game's balance wide open, but it would also negate any and all need for regular melee weapons, because these two abilities have stats that absolutely blow every melee weapon in the game out of the water. I'm all for powerful weapon ults existing, but there needs to be a reason to pick something besides them if we're hoping to run melee. The Gladiator set working on them might be interesting, but it really needs to not work on them for the sake of balance. Blood Rush won't be particularly strong on Exalted Blade. Hysteria is a different case, but Hysteria has terrible drawbacks to compensate for that. 19 minutes ago, Gurpgork said: it would also negate any and all need for regular melee weapons, because these two abilities have stats that absolutely blow every melee weapon in the game out of the water. Again, not really. Were Shadow Debt mods to work on Exalted weapons, Maiming melee would've still outperformed them by a landslide. As the excessive damage from Blood Rush would haven't achieved much in the regular game content (including Sorties) - not enough to compete with radial AoE enemy removal. Shadow Debt mods would've allowed Exalted melee to scale much further than it does now, but that would've been overextended endless exclusive. For instance, Condition Overload provides higher DPS increase for Exalted Blade than Blood Rush ever could. Yet, maiming Atterax or even Orthos are still far better for almost anything during the regular game content.
Stormandreas
I just tested on Exalted blade using the Gladiator Set, and I can confirm the set mods DO work on Exalted weapons.

DeathGold
gladiator mods do work and that because they're no shadow debt mods for exemple : drifting contact work while body count dosen't + on exalted blade it's useless but on hysteria it let you orrange crit if you have room for it and a stat stick for it (hysteria have 80% crit chance with just true steel :V)
