Both Maniac and Bursa should trigger when a alarm has been on for too long, and keep spawning at a decent speed to add pressure to the Tenno to shut the alarm off. Doing so in combat may be hard, but it is not impossible. Changing this will both add a easier way to get the drops that Maniac and Bursa have, and add a pressure when fighting the infested as well. But there should definitely be a minimum time for Juggernaut screams for instance. Or a maximum Maniac / Bursa's active at one given time and a short timer before the respawn. But as long as the Alarm sounds. The pressure from Maniac and Bursa's should keep coming.

There should be a limit to how often bursas spawn. Otherwise their presence will be only annoying. Punishing players for setting off the alarms is one thing, but I don't think putting a pressure to find a console to get rid of bursas (and manics, while we're at it) is a good idea.

Sorties are the biggest problem right now, where bursas spawn almost one after another even without the alarm. One is big enough a hassle to get rid of, we don't need to deal with two at once. It's nice to have bursas back on a more regular basis, but now they are a bit of an overkill.

  2. Come on, Stalker couldn't even find the Moon on his own. How can he find us in our cloaked orbiters? And it's not like we would allow him to get to us again so easily.

Besides, the orbiter (and the Operator with it)  is hidden in the void, not flying around planet's orbit. Landing crafts are for that.

    - No one knows why the operator talks to us. We are either not the Operator but rather the Frame. Or the Operator has some mental illness or it may be an oversight DE forgot to think about when they implemented ourself talking only to make it feel like a part of the game. It is early testing a lot of things will probably change.

We are the operator (as in 'You are the Operator. You are the Tenno'). The operator is supposed to talk to other team members (like the Lotus uses plural forms sometimes, to reflect co-op), but when you play solo it just doesn't work. And other team members can't see other operators. The system is sipmly unfinished. Of course I can be wrong, but I don't want to come up with any theories until DE tells us more.

It would be better if we were able to use operators for voice commands, as in 'I need mana' or something. It would be much more fitting since most of their transmissions are just silly.

But all in all I liked the story in the Second Dream and hope operators will stay. We just need more customization.

  3. That would work only if all the weapon types had at least two stances. Right now there is no point in introducing such a system because weapons like Mios or Redeemer wouldn't be able to switch to anything. Of course it is possible to create more stances, but it takes time to come up with a good stance and then animate it all. I think it would be better to rebind charge attacks to the alternative fire button so they don't interfere with the combos.

  4. I love it how people clain a frame is ruined because it can no longer instantly kill everything in sight. Saryn was boring and tedious before her rework. Was she powerful? Yes. Was she fun to use? No.

Now she is actually engaging, powerful, and fun to use, but no matter what argument you use, the response is still 'but her dps is lower, so she sucks'. Her only problem right now is Toxic Lash that should apply also to weapons other than melee. Just learn how to use her properly, she is no longer a nuke frame, don't treat her as such.

I really hope for more reworks like Saryn's. After all, what's the point of having all those various frames if people prefer pressing one button and killing everything with it?

  5. I don't see it happening. Lore is already established and there is no point to change it. I understand there are people not fond of it, but you can't really do anything apart from dealing with it.

About the mentioned conversations: the operator can just pop out next to the frame to talk, so there is no need for them to be physically inside the frame.

sure it may mean that the design team would have to re-work a female/male version of all frames but it would make the story just that much better if not the game as a whole.

There have been countless threads about this; it would be too much work and is not likely to happen ever.

    1. Nope. "e, pause, e, right click, e" is not that hard to execute.

The OP means back combos that make your character go slightly backward when attacking. It's awkward and uncomfortable and should be reverted to how it used to be before U18 (when characters simply ran forward regardless of which directional button was pressed during attacking).
