    It stays on forever if ;

    1) the other players are range of the cast of renewal

    2) that energy is available to keep it constant

    3) that you minimse other abilty uses to ensure the energy is available for renewal at all time

I find that hallowed ground is required a lot re its removal of status effects from other players, so depleting energy use happens a lot to jeopardise renewal.

    1) No. It doesn't work that way. Test it.
    3) You have rage? No energy problems. If Rage doesn't do it for you then I'm afraid I can't do much more for you...

So basically then, Oberon has to ensure renewal is cast on all players at the start of a mission and then ensure energy keeps it up.

Thats great for team play via mic missions, not so good with randoms who just run off at the start of a mission.

    Another note:
Once the ability is cast in a spot on the map, it stays there even though you can't see it.
If a teammate goes into that spot they're gonna get the buff.

You're making this hard on yourself.

I am not saying use health conversion.

What I am saying is that for rage to work, you need to take health damage - that way you keep the renewal energy charged up.

That mean you need to drop shields etc to allow health damage to occur.

Vigor buffs shields as well as health.

Don't use any shield mods. You're gonna take damage every now and then so Rage does it's job without you having to go out of your way to get energy.

Do you know that your teamates have to be in range of the buff to get it ?

    http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Oberon/Abilities

Oberon emits a healing pulse that travels outward up to a radius of 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 meters over 2 / 3 / 3 / 4 seconds, instantly healing Oberon and nearby allies when hit by the pulse for 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 health. Ally players affected will regenerate 15 / 20 / 25 / 40 health every second, while allied summoned units affected will regenerate ? / ? / ? / 13 health every second[citation needed], for as long as Renewal remains active. Fully healed allies are additionally cleared of all negative status effects.

Play the game a little longer before you act like you know it all.
They have to be in range to get the buff, but once they have it, they can go to the other side of the world and they'll still have it on.

TL;DR: Just buff teammates at the start of the mission and you're good to go.

So basically do a Nekros type build via health conversion mod using a despoil type mechanic eg deliberatly take health damage.

Lower health, increase renewal power and take health damage via rage to sustain the health regen ?

No. You need Vitality to survive the hits, use Rage to sustain yourself and go for 200% Power Strength.
Health conversion is not gonna do anything for you. Way too situational.

So a TEAM healing frame that assists in team health recovery solely by staying in the location of his fellow players to pass on a healing buff, needs to parkour around the map to stay alive and hence provide zero healing benefit to his fellow warframe players as he is not in the location of those players.

    Makes perfect sense.

    You're not making sense.
Do you know how the buff works?
Unless your teammates like to jam their heads into nullifier fields they're gonna be fine...

Parkour, actually killing or cc'ing your enemies, good modding and energy management.

    That's all it takes.

It's a poor musician blaming his instrument.

If it ain't your playstyle, then an inaros prime will suit you better.

    edit:

Also, i'd recommend to visit a derelict or pick up some corrupted mods to push that power strength high up.

    Where can I get it?

    Primed Continuity.

    Vigor.

    Primed Flow

    Intensify.

    Vitality.

    Phoenix Renewal.

    Redirection.

    Streamline.

Trying to mix health / shield boost via vigor with intensify to assist renewal regen.

As for when Oberon dies, it is mainly via mob back shooting. Level 35 plus.

    There is your problem.
Try running 200% power strength for high level content if you're dying so much.
And get yourself a Rage so you don't have to worry about energy.

I like Oberon for his pet protection ability, as I run a crit build and run a kavat with the increased crit chance.

I run Oberon with a mix of efficiency and vigor for increased renewal and health.

    Still dies.

    Few questions:
    What's your build?
    Are you facetanking the enemies?
What levels are you dying on?

    My take at it:

    • "Where sand meets the sea": A coastline. Dark Sector.
    • "A spire of flesh and porcelain": The Warframes and their operators. I am guessing porcelain means their Prime counterparts.
    • "It gives so we can live": A sacrifice for the creation of another entity.

So, my guess is Umbra Warframes. We will be able to get umbra Warframes, but to do that, we will have to sacrifice the corresponding "light" Warframe. Still not sure if the Prime versions or not.

E.g. for getting Rhino Umbra, we will have to sacrifice Rhino (prime?).

That makes no sense, simply because DE said Excal Umbra would be released to the public.

I don't think everyone's got a spare Excal Prime in their arsenal.
