So the other day I wanted to trade some mods to my dad, who's still just MR2, he didn't have the credits for even just the trade tax. Got him 1 frugal credit bundle. Did I hate having to do that? Sure. But mostly because it costs way too much for what it gives. Had it been more like 500k or something...

TL;DR: Inflations is so bad the credits are just way too worthless...

So you chose to literally throw away plat instead of just taking him through the Index? Whatever floats your goat.

Because they hate us. They want us to die and go away forever

Grineer and Corpus are like "well if you want to kill zombies so bad, go right ahead, we can use the extra troops" but the Infested are all "TENNO DIE DIE DIE YOU MONSTERS IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO HELP US YOU WOULD JUST DIE"

Have you... played the game? The Infested only plead with us to join them.

Why do you think game nowadays have layers on layers of huge grind, massive RNG and topped with drop limits, either daily or weekly?

Because it's profitable. That is literally the only reason. It's nothing but greed and disrespect for their customer's time.

But he did burn through that replayability pretty fast.

Then it doesn't have very good replayability. If you make it intrinsically good (balanced, polished mechanics, smoother grind, QoL changes) then "burning through it" won't even be a factor since you'll want to keep playing it over and over. Using the term "burning through it" means that it doesn't have good replay value, since the rate at which someone plays through something does not matter when it comes to a discussion of replay value.

soo, after you convert a Lich, how do you use them in mission? do you equip them like companion or summon them like a specter?

not sure, I'm after weapons so all mine are killed. I think it's like a Specter though, as people I've seen using theirs don't start a game with them, they just appear.

You guys could always read the wiki instead of asking questions like this. You cannot equip them or summon them, they choose to appear at random.

I'm not really sure what this accomplishes on DE's end besides wasting players' time since you can't buy most of this stuff. Personally I think a lot of the problems with this game stem from the limitations of the FtP model vs a subscription one. But I really don't know what's going on here.

I agree, it's really weird. Sure, it incentivizes trading, which incentivizes some people to buy plat, but it's a really indirect way of making money. I think that the real truth is that DE either genuinely believes that grind = content, and that this is what players wanted when asking for "sustainable content."

    Lore-wise, it makes no sense.

None of Warframe's mechanics reflect the lore.

Game-wise, there's... no real benefit to it.

Maybe if you hate easy plat.

It's worth noting, as well, that lot's of players are done with Syndicates already and don't need parts like that

There's always just as many newer players who are nowhere close to being done with Syndicates.

Is there a reason why they havent added more weapons requiring MR 15+?. Always been mystified by that as personally speaking getting to a higher mr allows me to use weapons i couldnt previously. Its more tangible reward imho that say larger void traces storage (though useful isnt obvious )

I feel like it's better to have fewer weapons that require high MR. Part of the fun of Warframe is being able to try out so many unique things, and locking them in higher MR ranks goes against that. Personally, I don't think any weapon should require anything beyond MR12.

  9. If DE made higher MR actually matter beyond gravy, all the lazy and entitled players would scream and cry so much (more than they already do) that DE would just revert the changes. See: when Arbitrations lost their whole permadeath gimmick and all of the slightly challenging Nightwave tasks were removed.

  10. Railjack is an entirely different game from Warframe. Warframe doesn't have random stats on regular weapons, so you don't have to grind yourself to insanity. Warframe has infinite slots for blueprints and un-claimed items. Warframe doesn't have different versions of Mods, i. e. you can't find a "good" or a bad" Transient Fortitude. All of these things make Warframe a very good free to play game. Railjack is the opposite of all of this.
