  1. Whatever you can get out of it. In terms of buying, you shouldn't have to pay more than 5p, if even that.

    It's not super-rare, nor super-common.

Rank doesn't matter if it has less than 10 total ranks. Price only changes at ranks 6-10, anyone trying to say otherwise values cores too highly.

Just Like Every Bow in the game when Fully Charged, Each arrow has innate punch through which is further enhanced with punch through mods.
Heavy Caliber Affects Artemis bow since it's a Physical Damage mod. Damage, like you said, isn't Noticeable in Alt Fire since it spreads like a fan
Split Chamber on Artemis Bow only increases Multi-shot from 7 to about 13 arrows, which in terms means more CC when using Alt Fire

That's about it. Though, I would Replace Speed Trigger with Vile Acceleration since it offers 30% (x2) more Fire rate. The reduced damage is literally hardly noticeable since it's only -15%.

Huh, I've honestly never see it punchthough without that mod.

You don't need that much extra speed. Since AB doesn't gain damage on charge, it result in a pure damage loss. It might work for regular bows to an extent, but not Artemis Bow.

On HC, I know it gets the damage increase, I just forgot if it suffered from the accuracy penalty.

I haven't seen any noticeable effect with Split Chamber, it might be how it's displayed but it doesn't seem to really help damage too much. AoE maybe, but i haven't messed with it enough.

  3. Usually, the incredibly long loading times is a connection issue to host.

It may be harder to find a group, but try setting you maximum ping setting to within the 100-200 range. This should get you host that are closer to you and hopefully help you load faster.

I also run Windows 10, and have tried to fix this before running with some clannies in a different country (NA -> EU). Every time my friend would end up host, I'd load slow and vice versa.

Since the game uses Peer-to-Peer connections, small issues like this can pop up. Getting a host that's closer to you can certainly help as well.

  4. Usually pure damage (excluding Split Chamber) is the better option for this weapon. It doesn't have high enough crit for it to be viable as a crit weapon.

I'd say a weapon needs probably a minimum of 60-70% crit chance with mods to be considered a viable crit weapon. This is because if you build for crit, you generally tend to also build for crit multiplier, and then that mod (or mods) would be useless if you can't reliably crit.

  5. I'm not an expert when it comes to Ivara, but I have played her a fair bit recently.

So far, from what I can tell, you want to just focus on raw damage and fire rate. Crit mods also do affect this weapon, I haven't confirmed if Argon Scope and Bladed rounds do as of yet, but it doesn't seem like it. The rest definitely do. If they actually do, They could be an option to replace elemental mods.

    For mods, I recommend these:

    • Serration, Heavy Caliber, Elemental x2 - For Damage, Elementals fill the space after the remaining mods and Serration +HC. HC doesn't seem to noticeably impact it at all, since the skill appears to fire in a fixed cone.
    • Shred - Fire rate, Artemis Bow doesn't have innate punchthrough, this allows for multi-targets hit when you charge or not.
    • Speed Trigger - Insane boost to charge rate.
    • Point Strike and Vital Sense - To maximize crit and damage potential for crit.

Despite Split Chamber being a good boost of damage to a Primary weapon in general, it doesn't appear to have an effect on Artemis Bow. So, I leave it out in favor of Heavy Caliber, for the better damage. As a side note, though it has no real noteworthy damage Thunderbolt can also be proc'd if you have a Bow as your Primary and use it. Does add a small overlapping AoE, but it's damage doesn't scale with mods, so it's pretty low.

So far, that's what I've used when messing around with the Artemis Bow route. Though I've found other builds to be more fun personally.

  6. Hello there! Welcome to the official feedback thread for TennoArmory!

    tennoarmory_logo_vertical.png

    What is TennoArmory?

TennoArmory operates mostly as a news site, covering the major details of the larger updates, devstreams as well as all changes to the game's mechanics. We offer guides, which are currently limited to forma-less warframe builds. We are looking to expand out guide coverage and builds to make the site a go-to resource for all Tenno!

So what kind of content do we offer? Here's a simplified list of what you can find on our site:

    • Update Notes - Mostly simplified to pull out notable changes and fixes.
    • Warframe Builds - Forma-less builds for all current frames. Most builds are "meta" builds, but there are a few that aren't. All of them are optimized for 60+aura points, to be able to be made by anyone.
    • Guides - Currently we also have constantly-work-in-progress guides for Farming both resources and stances. With the 17.5 changes to toggle abilities, we also created a short guide to help explain the changes. We've also recently released actual guides for the game.
    • More - SoonTM. We plan to expand the site further as time goes on to include more and more helpful information.

    Who operates TennoArmory?

Currently, there are two people involved. Myself and KaelubReece. While Kaelub doesn't actively update the site, he does help manage the backend of things when necessary, when time allows or as needed. As for me specifically, I'm the one doing most of the hard work for the site. All the Testing, posts, guides and the rest of the visible content.

It would definitely help if we had more "staff",

    You mentioned guides?

Yup! Tennoarmory now has guides. Like actual game guides, the kind that give you tips and helpful information. Here's a list of our currently planned topics. Crossed off guides are one that already exist and have been added to the site!

    Basic Guides

    • Choosing a Starter Frame
    • What to do Post-Tutorial
    • Choosing your Next Warframe(s)
    • Modding Priorities
    • Alerts, Invasions and Events
    • Elements and Combinations
    • Damage type Advantages
    • Modding Weapons and Warframes
    • Is it Worth a Potato?
    • Mission Types (with tips)
    • Quest Walkthroughs
    • Intro to Platinum and Trading

    Advanced Guides

    • "Mod-theory"
    • Optimizing Builds.
    • Platinum Usage. (covered in Intro)
    • Trading Techniques

We'd like to expand this list, but since we're not absolute masters of the game in any way, there's a lot of stuff missing. If you have knowledge over things like PvP, or certain frames, you may be able to help us out!

Just as a note, a lot of the Basic guides, will be getting advanced guides where applicable. All in due time.

How Can You Help to Improve TennoArmory?

As far as feedback goes you could suggest additional features, guides that could be added or even builds! You could also just help us with general feedback as well, any kind of feedback will help us! I can't guarantee I'll get to everything, but I will most certainly try.

We've also recently setup a page that links to a few ways you can help us. You can find this on the main menu of the site marked "Support Us"  or the slide in the slider on the main page.

If you'd rather take a more direct approach, you could also become a part of the team! We're always looking for more talent to help us expand our site faster in many ways.

Here's a few of the possible roles you could be part of:

    • Content Creators - Create videos around existing site content or expanding existing content via creating a guide.
    • Builder - Assist with theorycrafting/testing builds to be placed on the site.
    • CoderFamiliarity with Wordpress recommended. Help create additional features to expand the site's functionality.
    • Art - Create images to accompany articles, usually as header images.

Anyone interested in helping directly should shoot me a PM! That kind of thing should be discussed in private and not publicly. Any kind of examples would also be appreciated, especially for the coding related stuff.

Any way you choose to help us, it will greatly improve our efforts towards our goal of being a go-to source for everything Warframe!

    Contact Us

If you see any errors or such on the site, or otherwise have issues with it... or just want to contact us, you can do so using the following info. All feedback given will be acted on, when possible.

    Twitter: https://twitter.com/Tenno_Armory

    Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/user/xJVIayhem/

Forums: Just PM me, or make a post here in this thread.

Feel free to follow the twitter for updates and notices when content goes live. I check Reddit often as well, PM me there if you need anything as well, though no response is guaranteed there. I check the forums daily, so replying or PMing me here is probably the best way to contact me.

Please do note, at the current time, there are some things in desperate need of being caught up I haven't gotten to yet. Like Saryn's Rework, and some other things like that. I haven't played her enough yet to figure out if her previous builds she had need to be scrapped or not. I expect it'll take me a fair amount of time to get most of it caught up, while still trying to get new stuff out.

Thank you and enjoy the site!

ah okay, so the type of damage the weapon deals itself, for example war does impact, does not matter? Nothing about the weapon at all?

This is correct. The weapon itself doesn't matter. The mods still do though.

Since I "main" Valkyr, here's what I currently use on my weapon:

    • Shocking Touch and Fever Strike - to enable Corrosive procs and for extra damage. You can use the versions with less damage and additional status if you want.
    • (Primed or not) Reach - Reach is Necessary to help deal with Nullifiers as you'll be at a bit safer range to melee the shields down without accidentally losing hysteria.
    • Fury and Berserker - Attack Speed
    • Organ Shatter and True Steel - Crit chance to enable easier Berserker Procs for more attack speed. Crit damage for just more damage.
    • Shattering Impact - I use this instead of the Element/Status Mods. It removes some base armor per hit, which when you get berserker ramped up, you can start hitting quite fast. Also, ground finishers hit several times

Valkyr herself should be modded for Power Strength, Efficiency and Narrow Minded as well as Eternal War Hysteria should be your survivability, so you don't need anything like Vitality or Steel Fiber You'd also want (Primed or not) Flow, for maximum energy pool. This is to maximize Warcry's Attack Speed boost, Hysteria's Damage and the amount of time you can Keep Hysteria up. Using this setup, I've had no issues running over an hour in any survival.

As a bonus tip for ya, Hysteria's Charge attacks open enemies up to Finishers, which also subsequently knock them down allowing for ground finishers immediately after. This is a good means of bursting down heavy units or Eximus units (the only things you'll likely ever have to charge attack until over 2 hours in)

Any further questions, feel free to ask :)

    1. There are some story quests. You'll want to get the Natah quest by scanning a randomly spawning Oculyst. It'll be obvious when they spawn. This quest leads to one of the biggest lore/story quests in the game currently. Other than this, not a whole lot. Check the market for Quest BPs and the Codex for some of the early game quests.
    2. You could try Warframe Builder to mess around with modding as such. It shows all the mods in the game, so some maybe not be regularly available. There are also build saved there from other people that you can use to get an idea on how things are generally modded.
    3. PvP has been changed to not use regular mods. There are mods designed specifically for PvP known as Conclave Mods. PvP is limited to those mods. There are a few mods that work in both PvE and PvP but are gotten through PvP.

Hopefully this answers the questions you asked. If not, I'll check back later if anything needs to be cleared up ^^

  8. Given your particular situation, two CP with Coaction would provide ~78% armor reduction. This amount would generally enough for most missions, unless you're planning on running over an hour into survival or high waves of defense, specifically against Grineer or the Corrupted. Up to that point, it should remain enough to allow you to quickly dispatch heavy units.

The Corrosive element, however is less immediate and less reliable for that particular situation. If you need high level of armor reduction, Since it reduces enemy armor by 25% of it's current value, not maximum. To get the same value that CP would provide, you'd have to proc it several times, and each proc has diminishing returns as well.  If used with a High Status Chance, High Rate of Fire Weapon, it'd have a much quicker impact.

So to summarize this, CP has a much more noticeable and immediate effect, but with a properly set up weapon, Corrosive procs could drain armor just as fast. It's up to you if one of your duo wishes to set up and carry a weapon to suit this need, or just run CP for the ease. If you do still run corrosive on a weapon, it won't need a high proc chance, but could still be useful for further reductions.

    Coaction CP = Immediate effect

Corrosive Procs = Less Immediate, but still very useful if you set up a weapon specifically to proc it.

  9. I forget where, but it was explained somewhere a while ago.

Basically, each faction tried to recreate bits of Orokin technology. This is why we have the various primes. The Primes are essentially the weapons and gear as they were created by the Orokin.

  10. Accuracy doesn't matter too much. It only determine the spread of your shots when firing rapidly. Due to how the Simulor works, this should have little impact.

It most cases it's pretty much an arbitrary stat. Thus it's not worth worrying about.

Also, Split Chamber isn't a good mod to use on a Simulor, it isn't as helpful as it is with most weapons. Because the shots will fire clumped together already, resulting in no extra damage when it combines with previous shots..

  11. It almost feels like neither range mods for melee or powers has any affect on it. I even put maxed narrow minded on to see if it affects it much, seems like the same crappy distance.

Yeah I tried this as well. The range seems to be very bugged.

It seemed to reach up to 5m, regardless if it was negative range or maxed range. It always stopped there.. Which is weird, because that's no longer than my weapon I was using during testing.

Actually.. thinking about it.. I think I may know what wrong now. I think the "Range Bonus" is a Multiplier.. instead of being an actual bonus. So assuming my guess is correct, it stops stacking at 2.5x for a 100% range multiplier, resulting in the weapon being the same length as mine. Where in reality, the bonus should stack and result in double of that.

So on top of it's scaling being broken (it stays at default value of 20%).. It's not properly treating the bonus as a bonus, but just a flat multiplier.

Now, if it weren't broken, it should add 235% of your melee weapon's range to your attack's range when you have max range. So it should result in my weapon giving Primal Fury a max range of 16.75m, instead of the base 5m

  12. Updates to main post:

    • Crossed off a few more of the guides that have been created

    • Added a small bit about another small new section. :)

    • Added a Contact Us section.

We've finished our two biggest guides for one of the harder questions to answer: What Frame should I go for Next?

We have a basic one, for those trying to get an idea of what the frame and power do and what it does best: http://www.tennoarmory.com/all-guides/basic-guides/choosing-your-next-warframe/

And a more advanced one for those tenno that want to know the cost vs the reward of setting up for end-game: http://www.tennoarmory.com/all-guides/advanced-guides/choosing-your-next-warframe-end-game/

Just keep in mind, the basic version is aimed at beginners, while the advanced one is aim at those wanting to know the potential of a fully modded and forma'd frame. Neither guide includes builds, but the advanced one does mention the possible setups that would generally be used

    ________________

With guides live on the site, I've been hard at work creating new ones. Right now though, there isn't a new one in progress, just some general clean up that needs to be done.

So if you catch any general errors around, feel free to let me know.

  13. Support ticket

Yeah, just send in a ticket. They'll give it back if it hasn't been too long.

If it's less than 30 days since you sold it, you can make a Support Ticket and ask to get it back.

When making a support ticket for something like that, it's better to only do so if you accidentally sold it. It's better to just rebuild it instead of flooding support with these kind of requests. While they may do it, it's better for everyone to just rebuild it. It'd be more reasonable if it were a weapon made from other weapons though.

  14. If you have a full squad to all run Corrosive projection, do that. It prevents your damage from falling off.

If you can't then the 60% damage is much more effective.

Basically, as a mission goes on, enemy armor scales up, which will reduce your damage as it goes on. Usually 4x Corrosive Projection is best if you plan on going for awhile.
