  1. ((It is now moving towards evening. Synergy is open full time. No need to panic about closing.))

Dirge pulls a short distance away and then stops, pointing to a mound of what appears to be fur pillows.

    "These." He says. "Are Fluffles."

    He looks the mound.

"They breed like rabbits every month." He says. "They are the worst of pests. Feel free to kill as many as you want next time you are in the plains. Just make sure you take care of the remains. Otherwise they'll eat eachother. Bloody things are scavengers."

He shifts the vehicle and drives.

"Capitol is a good distance away." He says. "Any questions about resources or history?"

"Well, I'd appreciate not having to wander about alone. Getting information about this planet and making a decision then will be easier when I have someone who knows what they're doing."

He looked at the dead Behemoth. "And, I suppose there's always another one of these. You don't have a problem with us taking them down, right? If so, then I'm sure the Guild can take three or four off your hands."

    Dirge looks at the beast.

"Truth be told I'd be fine if you wanted to hunt then. We try to leave them mostly alone. Things are fine but we don't want them seeing us a a threat. Of course if their being a nuisance that's another story." He says. "But if you really want to hunt, I'd recommend Fluffles. Farmers hate the little fur balls. You have open reign to shoot any you see. Outside the city of course."

    He climbs into the transport.

"Anything you want to know about this place?" He asks. "Or any particular place you want to see?"

    "Hello...the name's Zari."

"I'm a Tenno who uses the saryn warframe..."

"I was sent by the well known Lights of Honour clan to send some supplies over..."

"The supplies contain many items that'll hopefully improve you and the other's survival..."

    Simon sighed.

"Zari you are cleared for punch. Please report to Katherine. Coordinates for landing are as follows."

"Don't have any in particular. If the Guild were here, I'd call an R&D team to come and see what they could do with this beast. The natural armoring is incredible.", he said, tapping on the fallen beast's armor plated hide. "I was really only here to find out if Synergy was worth deploying the Guild's resources for. Usually, that entails a lot of wandering and looking around."

    Dirge looks at him.

"We do have a field lab kit available." He says. "I could have one sent to you."

    He gestures to the city.

"Or I could show you around." He says. "Having a Tenno base of operations would be welcome. So long as it's personnel follow our rules."

"Are they sterilized?" Felicity asks. "What is the risk of spreading?"

    She continues.

"Does your Warframe utilize any external infestation bio-mass? If it does I must ask you to bring a different one."

  6. This is part of an idea I had for resistance cell stories across multiple planets. If this gets enough players I will start another.

Tge concept is that there are resistance cells located across the Sol system. These are populated by brave men and women, and occasionally deserting Grineer.

Ever wondered what it would be like to be a civilian fighting back against the forces that control the system? This is your chance.

    Details:

    Setting: Earth

    Playable Classes:

Druids: Work with Huras Kubrow. They carry close range weapons and act as support troops. They also possess limited healing tech and items.

Rangers: Work with Chesa Kubrow. Long Range experts. Use Snipers or Marksman rifles.

Specialist: Tenno in resistance cell gear. Partnered with other Kubrow types. May choose to manifest one Warframe ability. Energy details below.

Ex Drahk Master: Grineer deserter of the same class. Must be male, or have recently learned to control Drahks. Limited to two Drahks.

Hyekka Master: Grineer deserter of the same class. Must be female or have recently learned to control Hyekka. Limited to two cats.

Standard combat rules apply. No auto-hits, no auto-kills ((exception is ranger class. When undetected they may auto-hit in a target. If that target is a standard unit is is killed.)) Actions must be open ended. Only weapons in game are allowed. Grineer are level five. Weapons may have one modification.

Dead is dead. Try to be cautious.

Warframes are not allowed. Operators can however take to the field as a Specialist.

300 health. 300 Shields. 100 Armor. 100 Energy. Do not replenish except between missions. ((Exception Druid. Can restore health and shields.))

Values used to determine impact of enemy weapons. This is not exact values. A lucky shot could kill you, or simply graze you. It is simply for an indication of durability.

    Turn order.

You get three actions per turn.

Moving takes one, reloading, firing each take one action.

Abilities, healing, restoring shields take two.

Your pet acts on your turn. It can take one action per pet. You may grant addional actions to all pets you control at the cost of one action. Pets cannot take more than three actions a piece.

Things like dragging an ally to safety require a full three actions. Hacking and other special context actions do as well.

Some missions may allow special gear. Using this takes one action. Gear includes ciphers, which make hacking a free action. More to come.

If you get too hurt you will bleed out. You have limited time to get help.

You make take one action. This can be a standard action, a persevere, or a self treat action.

Any action reduces the bleed out counter by one. Self help has a chance to remove the counter and leave you at wounded.

While wounded you have only two actions. A heal will remove this.

    Turns:

Your turn is your post. You may act again once the DM, and any players targeted by your actions, have responded to them. Once everyone has acted the DM will respond and then declare next round. If you choose to react immediately after the DM responds but before the next round your actions are delayed till next round.

If you have to leave simply state so in OOC parentheses. Your character will count as retreated. In some missions, if extraction is not viable, then you will be marked captured, or MIA. The DM will message you about your fate.

    Setting:

Medium Alcove. The walls are made of tree trunks. The ground is a thick layer of mulch. Pathways span over it to a covered desk. A man sits looking at a holo-pad.

An assistant hands you holo-pad with a few questions.

    Name?

    Combat Role ((class))?

Weapon ((List primary. Everyone has a Viper and Sheev for back up.))

    Combat History ((Backstory))

    OOC details

This thread is where you post your character intro. When a Assigment is available it will be listed on the IC thread and individuals will be chosen from those here.

    For Example:

    "Hunter looked up.

Bill, Frank, Carol, and Sysan. You have been assigned to sabatoge a Grineer reactor."

You can either accept or deny this. Accepting temporarily locks IC thread to invite only and starts the mission.

After a mission you have to recover. Recovery means you are not eligible for the next mission. This allows newer players to start. Doing well reduces recovery time, doing poorly or being a jerk increases it.

Mission length will vary. Multiple missions will go at the same time, if necessary.

Post any questions here. First mission will start once we have four people ready.

It will be a simple one. Good introduction to mechanics and the world.

*The Ash scoffs, he gets up and walks out the store, but not first leaving a shadow clone behind (blade of storm thingy), he sreachs out for a mesa to "chat up" with*

Ryoko claps the Loki on the back.

"Rathuum." He says. "That would work."

Dixon grabs his Lacera and slides it back into his back.

    "Yes Arbiter." He says.

    Ryoko turns to Legion.

"I apologize for him." He says. "He only recently became one of us. He and the others are still learning what it means to be Tenno."

He bows and vanishes in a flash of light. It takes a bit longer this time.

Alan seems to have vanished, Samantha as well.

The streets team with people. It seems that business is picking up.

Lord stayed down for a moment, before rolling out of the way moments before the beast slammed into the ground. "That was a dirty trick," He scolded the Behemoth. "And one you'll pay for in PAIN!", he screamed as he launched upward, clinging onto the beast's back before it could react.

Hanging on with his amped wallhang system, two Ripkas popped out of concealed sheathes on the backs of Lord's hands, revving violently. He dug into the exposed portions of the creature's armor, expelling the last of the armor plates from the breach and causing the beast to bellow in pain.

The Behemoth bucks. The blood and shadow gnat is still stinging it from a distance. It's bite is annoying. The one on its back however. It roars in pain as an armor plate tears loose. Enough of this.

Dirge watches the tail of the behemoth swing up and over towards the Tenno. It misses by inches, slamming into the raw skin where the plate has torn loose. There is a sickening crunch and the Behemoth staggers.

Dirge raises his rifle and fires into the open wound. A plate on the other side of the behemoth tears outwards. A dull thud echoes inside the creature. The beast staggers.

The Ripka's dig into its back again and the beast falls. The ground shudders.

Dirge looks at it once and then turns, firing a round into the ground near the fleeing figures.

"Alright." He says. "Which one of you shot him?"

The men nudge eachother and finally the driver steps forward.

    "I did sir." He says.

"You are aware that the hunting piece we legally requires you to kill any you shoot." Dirge says. "I know you know that. So why didn't you?"

Transport pulls up and two Archons dismount.

"Take these men away and lock them up." Dirge says. "I will deal with them later."

    He turns to Lord.

"A good kill hunter." He says. "What are your plans now?"

Seth threw a last glare at the Archon before running after his mentor.

    The Archon looked at Sirion.

"This is the third time." He says. "If you cannot control your temper please refrain from inhabiting a frame within the city. This is your final warning."

The Rhino snorts, and the Archon holds up a hand.

"Shall I call for Grandmaster Tak?" He asks. "I'm sure he could... Educate you in the proper etiquette."

At the mention of the Oro-keeper Grandmaster the Rhino seems to grow dim.

"No." He says quickly." That will not be necessary."

The Archon nods and escorts the Rhino away.

    ((Well done Lucious.))

"Come on, boys, don't leave me hanging in orbit and lets make a deal, I can promise you, my pets don't..bite"

A feminine voice comes over the speakers.

"This is Felicity." It says. "I am one of the healers, I deal with infested control and research. Arbiter Darrin is currently busy. I will be your contact. May I ask you a few questions about your pets?"

((Quick Lore clarification. The Tenno remotely control the warframes. This is listed under the Mechanics section of the OOC thread. Destroying a Warframe hurts the operator but does not kill them. If you wish to actually wear your Warframe just show that by having the operator remove their helmet or take some action indicating they are inside. Unless otherwise stated most Tenno remotely control. You are welcome to do otherwise if you wish.))

  12. Dirge laughs.

"I am referring to the pistols, lad." He says. "That rifle looks like a good choice."

The Behemoth skids to a stop and turns to face Lord, leaving the shattered plate facing to the side, out of sight.

"Look out!" Dirge yelled. "He's got your number now!"

It roared and charged, knocking the Tenno down and raising its legs above him, preparing to bring them down with great force. Unlike it's infested cousin, its belly was layered with thick leathery plates.

The creature leaned back as far as it could, then its weight shifted forward....

Lord smiled beneath his helmet. He turned to the Atlas. "Any regulation on the type of weaponry used? This thing looks as fun to take down as an Ogma without an Archwing.", he said as he reached for his Akjagara. "Which is to say, very fun."

Dirge raised his Vulkar and fired, the round skittered off of an armored plate, it almost appears sparks appear. The creature paused, skidding to a halt, and then turned to look at the Tenno. Pure rage shone in its eyes.

Dirge pulled back a bolt and a casing ejected.

"I'd not recommend the pea-shooters." He says. "Unless they fire acid pellets, and you want to get close enough to shove the barrel into its eyes."

The behemoth snorts and paws the ground with its massive foot.

Dirge begins circling to the side.

"I'd recommend something that can pierce the hull of a Galleon." He said. "Because otherwise we're just going to make it really mad."

The Behemoth tracked his movements. It's tusks tore furrows in the ground as it lowered its head.

"Believe me you don't want to see these things any angrier." Dirge said. "I'll draw his attention. If you have something strong enough I'd appreciate some help."

((For the image, think crossing a Anklyosaur with an infested Juggernaut, and giving it massive tusks. Whatever Alad V made the juggernauts from may have been Orokin samples of Behemoth DNA.Take away the poison spray attack and you've got it.))

Lord watched the enormous being, pulling a Snipetron Vandal from his back. He loaded it with a clip of custom-tooled Ballista armor-piercing rounds. "I'm not leaving here without a trophy from one of those things..." he whispered to himself as he watched it. He wondered what functions the various parts of the beast might serve. All would be found out, if he decided to get the Guild's R&D stations set up here...

((Actually I will stay on a bit longer. This seems interesting.))

A hail comes in from the surface as the craft lands.

"Welcome to Phenix." A voice says. "I am Dirge. Arbiter Ryoko is away at the moment. I was told you were interested in wildlife."

The voice comes from a Red and Black Ash. A Vulkar Wraith sits on its back.

"Perhaps you would be interested in helping me with something "

The Warframe gestures to a cloud of dust as the craft settles into the dock.

"If not you may want to clear the area." He says. "Nothing major, just a little nature problem."

Upon closer inspection the dust seems to come from a land transport. A Behemoth charges after it. It's tusks swing side to side, narrowly missing the transport. Two Humans clenching Boar shotguns cling to the craft while a third wrenches the wheel back and forth desperately.

    "Well perhaps not so little.."

((Don't worry, you didn't do anything wrong. Dirge is simply filling in as greeter since he would be head of security in Ryoko's absence.))

  15. As you view the planet a giant mine comes into view on the screens. A massive hole in the ground with automated systems. By the edge of this lies a forest, a moving speck catches your eye and the image zooms in. A massive creature stands on its hind legs, its front braced against a tree. It looks heavily armored and as you watch it smashes its body against the small tree, knocking it over. It falls to the ground and begins sweeping it's head over the ground.

  16. Simon thought of the Behemoth's on Phenix.

"Oh you'll find some interesting wildlife there." He said. "Alright you are cleared for punch."

He pressed the button and paused.

"Oh and the Formorian is friendly." He said. "Just a heads up."

((If you want an image of the planet check the earlier posts.))
