"Of course, what do you need my help with excaly?, As long it don;t involve Fire, I shuold be fine, Viral/Toxin or Infested is my specialty "

Namira keys in a code and a circle of light appears.

"Someone broke into Ryoko's old lab." She says. "Where he kept all his research on both the Sentient and the Corrupted. And... other things."

She motioned to the circle of light.

    "After you."

((My apologies but I may not be on for the rest of the evening. Dark Split Sword happened. Excuse me while I act like a 8 year old at Christmas again. I will be on tomorrow))

Lord summons a smaller, targe-like shield over his arm and blocks the blow, shoving it into the ground. He sprung up, holding the shield in front of him.

"Well then, that was unexpected!" he shoutef as he unsheathed a single Ripkas and revved it violently. He slashed violently at the column of light at the midsection of the Prosecutor, blocking the staff with his "shield".

The ground beneath the blow falls away, revealing the strength behind the strike. The strange being falls, but not before the Ripka gouges into the swirling energy. Your opponent screams as he falls. You see him hit the floor several stories below. He rises and then clutches his midsection. Before you can react he tears a hole in the wall and limps through. He leaves behind a shattered plate. It appears to be sentient in origin. It does not, however, appear... healthy. Whatever strange life Sentient beings seems to have appears to be ending.

    Dirge sits up.

"My warframe appears to be damaged." He says. "Do you think you could take a look at the transference module. I think the blast damaged it."

    He falls back.

"Or you could go after him." He says. "I can disconnect and pull up schematics. You'd have a better idea of the layout, but you wouldn't have as much firepower."

"I can probably get them from here," Lord said as he placed his hands on the wall. A charge of electricity could be felt in the air, and the groans and screams of Corrupted could be heard on the other side. Soon, there was silence. The electrical charge in the air faded. Lord removed his hands from the wall, and turned to face Dirge. "Clear now."

A flash of gold and an impact send you tumbling to the ground. A Grineer Prosecutor stands over you. His mid-section is held together by swirling light. However this is not Vor.

Electricity arcs from his staff, apparently a fusion of an Amphis and a Sentient arm. Strips of what appear to be Sentient armor hang from his body, however they appear to be scorched with void energy.

He shrugs off the hail of bullets from Dirge and turns to you.

"Insolent Tenno." He says. "Those drones will be hard to replace."

    He swings the staff downwards.

"Wasn't that Display?" Lord said as he holstered his Akjagara and unslung his Snipetron, ready to shoit a piercing round through the walls at the sound. "What could possibly be over there?"

You hear more crashing sounds. It sounds like something is tossing aside rubble. You hear a Grineer voice giving orders. It sounds odd however, as if echoing within itself.

Dirge draws his Wraith Vipers as a flash of gold slips through the cracks. It seems more Corrupted are in the Display room.

  6. 15 minutes ago, LordOfTheEnd14 said:

"Alright, I suppose. Let me know if anything sneaks up behind me." Holding his Akjagara ahead of him, he stepped into Containment.

Whether by luck it by fate the room on the left does turn out to be containment. Glass tubes sit in the walls. Most are shattered to pieces. A few hold a strange substance that seems to ebb and flow on its own. It squirms faster as light flashes over it.

"Nothing here." Dirge says. "Well nothing useful."

The console next to the strange substance says simply. "Nope nope nope."

You hear a crashing sound from behind the door on the right.

  7. ((I am posting a character bio both as an example and as a valid character in case one of my friends DM's and I get to actually play the game. Consider me like a benign Akihiko Kayaba.))

Talris looks around the room. He is a young man clad in a hooded cloak and jeans. He wears long hide boots and his left arm has a thick pad on it. His Chesa Kubrow growls softly at his side.

"Either I have the wrong place." He says. "Or these resistance folk are very good at hiding."

He looks at the application and fills it out.

    Name: Talris

    Combat Role: Ranger

    Weapon: Vulkar (Hushed)

    Combat History:

Worked as a hunter for most of his life. Leapt at the chance to join a true resistance movement, and strike back at the Grineer. Kubrow's name is Gunther.

The shield disappeared with a slight buzzing noise, and Lord looked back at Dirge. "Oh, I'll get you back for that one. Count on it." He chuckled.

"So, what's being 'contained' and what's  being 'displayed' behind these doors? Infestation? Experimental projects?"

    Dirge nodded.

"Yes." He said. "All of the above."

    He held his rifle.

"Display was things that we'd made into weapons." He says. "Containment... well that was things that were the reason we had the aforementioned weapons."

    He looks back and forth.

"I'll let you take point." He says. "That way I can cover your back. I know the books of this place quite well."

  9. Hunter looked at the empty waiting room and back at the paper.

"This was the problem with being the underdog." He thought. "Everyone wants to hear stories about heroes but no one wants to actually go out and get things done."

Still he could wait. The Grinner reactor wasn't going anywhere.

He listened to the sounds of the parties drift through the walls. Resistance was mostly people who enjoyed being free from the Grineer, but rarely did anything with that freedom.

Still he had seen a few wide-eyes recruits and grizzled veterans take a peek at the place as they walked past. Sooner or later some group of rookies would hand in their applications.

He leaned back in his chair and stroked the back of his Kubrow.

    Then the fun could start.

((Turn in applications in the OOC thread. Good luck, fighters.))

"If we don't have anything better to do. Why not open it?" Lord said as he reached for the door.

As he touched the door, multiple arcs of electricity jumped to his hand. However, they didn't seem to harm him. If anything. they only made him stronger. He tore the door open, using the electricity running through it to bolster his strength. As soon as the door was open, he summoned a shield in front of him and drew his pistols.

A blank wall meets his gaze.

    Dirge laughs.

"Hahaha." He says. "Every bloody time."

    He leans over.

"Ahh don't take it too hard lad." He says. "You're not the first to fall victim to that prank."

He motions to the side doors.

"One of these is containment." He says. "One is display. Not sure which is which. Both had a lot of glass tubes. We'll have to look at the consoles to find out."

  11. 7 minutes ago, LordOfTheEnd14 said:

"Not much. Just a Forma." Lord says as he tosses it at Dirge. "Corrupted here too? Ah, maybe a Void Portal anomaly... no problems there." He looks at the four doors. "So, where do these lead?"

Dirge seems to tilt his head at you.

"Well the one behind you leads back where you came." He says. "The one to the right leads to the showcase room. The one on the left leads to the containment room."

You look both ways and see light shimmer off of glass in either side. While you are occupied Dirge darts forward and balances the Firma on your head.

Or were they both containment rooms?" Dirge says, scratching his chin. "He swapped it last Monday, then Tuesday. Did he swap Wednesday..."

He trails off and then motions to the door behind him.

"That one, well that doesn't lead anywhere." He says. "Absolutely nothing behind that door. Waste of time to open it. Nothing but blank space. Nothing of interest there."

He seems suspiciously emphatic about how meaningless opening that door would be. Another charge runs over it. They seem to be spaced out evenly. It could be a security system. Dirge notices you looking at it and shrugs.

"You want to waste a few minutes exploring..  I mean doing nothing, be my guest." He says. "There is absolutely nothing of value behind that door."

"I'm looking for nano-spores and Mutagen Samples, along with some nerdoes, for..my..pets of course and myself"

"Do you have them safely contained for buying?"

"All of our resources like that are either tied up in research or being used in medical." Namira says. She stops as if listening to something.

"We might have a few.." She says slowly. "If you'd be willing to help with a small issue..."

"Ryoko's old lab had a few supplies." She said. "Dirge is there now. He says the place is in ruins. You might be able to salvage some supplies from it though."

She steps off to the side and presses a pad against a wall.

"I could take you there if you want." She says.

  13. 2 minutes ago, LordOfTheEnd14 said:

"Useful, at the vey least." Lord mumbled as he put the Forma away.

"That gunshot didn't sound too good..." Lord mumbled again as he created an electric shield on his arm. He turned off the light on his shoulder, preferring the dimmer, violet light from his shield.  He slowly entered the next room...

Dirge stands over two corrupted corpses. A corrupted guardsman and a corrupted butcher.

A smoking Wraith Viper is held in his hand.

    "Find anything?" He calls.

This room seems to be a four way hallway. The door on the right is wedged slightly open. The one on the left lies shattered off it's hinges. The one ahead seems to be in perfect working order.

As you watch an electric charge seems to run over the surface.

Dirge seems to know about this place. However he also seems puzzled by the presence of the Corrupted.

  14. 7 minutes ago, LordOfTheEnd14 said:

"Anti-Sentient, huh? Mid-flight conversion is quite the feat." He truned towards the door, gesturing in its direction. "There's some stuff in here I'd like to investigate. Would you mind scouting out that next room?" he asked as he toppled the next pile of rubble.

"Ryoko has a bit of a fascination with a Sentient tech." Dirge says. "Let me know if you find something."

He slips into the next room.

You turn over the next pile and find...

    A forma.

Something crashes in the next room and you hear gunfire, then silence. It does not sound like a Vulkar Wraith.

((Gonna try this as almost a choose your own adventure storyline. Stick it out and you might find some very interesting tech.))

*She looks down to the charger, she kneels down and pets it*..Go wait..for me in the ship, I;ll be fine..you won;t want a ember watching you now do you?

*The Charger runs back into the ship, hiding behind a desk*

    "Lets go"

Namira guides you to the city.

"What were you looking to buy?" She asks. "We have a Tenno merchant who showed up recently. Sells prime components from what I heard. We do have some oddities, and the food is great."

  16. 6 minutes ago, Luthim said:

Could you clarify what the "Fold Engine" is? Is it a location (gateway of some sorts?) or some kind of modification?

Will probably join anyway but got curious.

    //Luthim

Tenno ships dock with either a Carrier or an Orbiter. And Orbiter sits in the void and opens a portal to the Tenno ship when needed.

A Carrier actively transports itself and the landing craft to their destination. This means it has to travel vast distances.

This is done using a fold engine, a part of the carrier that can use the void to fold space and time allowing for FTL travel.

Tenno Carriers, Balor Formorians, And a few Orokin ships have Fold Drives, or Fold Engines.

If you have a Carrier instead if an Orbiter and knew the exact coordinates of Phenix you could warp there instead of using the rail.

Keep in mind this would mean suddenly appearing above a planet that has no indication you are coming and believes itself to be secret, or relatively secret.

    tl:dr

If you want you could just show up in orbit. It would be... Interesting... And there would be a lot of questions.

  17. 12 minutes ago, LordOfTheEnd14 said:

"I wear the frame. If you want to kill a man, look him in the eye.", Lord chuckled. He kicked the rubble aside and pointed a single pistol at it, in case it was something dangerous.

    "Aha, what's this here?"

A single magazine sits beneath the rubble. It appears to be a standard sniper ammo box. Words are scrawled on the side.

"That's one of the Archon's anti-sentient rounds." He says. "They have three modes. Plasma charge, impact, and blade. They can self modify mid flight. Ryoko usually keeps those locked up tight. How did one get here?"

He looks back and begins to move towards the door. Something else sparkles beneath another pile.

You hear noises coming from the next room, it sounds Ike there is something beyond the door. Lifting the rubble would only take a second, however, and might contain another clue.

"Yeah..I deserved that that..escort me then*

*When Ember walks up a charger hides behind her leg, looking to ember*

    Namira holds out her hand.

"Hello." She says. "Are you ready to see the city?"

    She notices the charger.

"I'm guessing this little guy causes trouble whenever he is alone." She says. "Otherwise you would have left him on the ship. Like we asked."

Her voice sounds cheerful and you smile. A thought slithers into your head. They did say to leave the pets on the ship. You wouldn't want to make a bad impression on such a nice person, would you?

    Namira motions to the city.

"If you'll send the little guy back." She says. "We can be on our way."

  19. 3 minutes ago, LordOfTheEnd14 said:

"Lead the way." Lord said cheerfully. He ejected the clip of Ballista rounds and reloaded regular ones before drawing his Akjagara. A light on his shoulder blinked to life as they walked in.

The entrance appears ruined. A glitter of light catches your eye under a pice of rubble. You might be able to find something if you check there.

    Dirge coughs.

"Just to be sure." He says. "Are you one of those Tenno that wear their frame, or one of those that use Transference?"

  20. 5 minutes ago, LegionCynex said:

"Yes,i'm looking for a simple trader, that is all, Wait....a..ember?"

    Felicity sighs.

"Yes." She says. "Just to be safe. You live in a fully infested ship. We don't want to risk an accidental outbreak."

    She continues.

"Namira will escort you to your destination." She says. "She won't bite, not unless given reason to."

  21. 4 minutes ago, LordOfTheEnd14 said:

"Not a problem. I'll just have to have the teams sent along with backup generators. Our research pursuits mainly include weapons and defense research and development. Up until now, we've mainly been focused on energy-based defense and weapons systems, but there's been a call to shift to more biological systems. For instance, if we could find out how the Behemoths grow their armor, we could have a way of artificially synthesizing some ourselves, or even producing armors that can self-regenerate with limited capacity."

    Dirge looks over.

"Sounds very helpful." He says "We need research on weapons tech and defenses. Ryoko usually handles a lot of that, but he's tied up with the combat craft more than personal weapons."

He pulls to a stop beside a cliff. A Dojo seemed to be docked at the edge, a thin walkway extending to it.

"This is where we did most of our research." Dirge says. "It's not used much since... Well since we made the shipyard."

He walks up to the entrance and keys in a code.

"Odd." He says. "I though we had allocated power to this."

He keys in a command and the lights flicker.

"Strange." He says. "It seems someone cut the power."

He calmly draws his rifle. The door slides open.

Inside there are plasma scorches and bullet holes in the walls. It looks like a fight happened here.

"Grineer." Dirge says. "Probably stragglers. Though I can't imagine how they got access to this facility."

    He nods to Lord.

"Looks like you are my second, for this." He says. "You up for it?"

  22. 36 minutes ago, LegionCynex said:

    *She responds*

My pets are safe and they have been sterilized, they won't spread, as for my frame its contained, they are safe...unless..they bite..but they only bite if you give them a reason to.."

"In that case you may descend to visit the surface. Please send your craft back to orbit once you disembark. There will be an Ember sent to escort you." Felicity says. "Is there any particular spot you are looking for? I was told you mentioned a small purchase."

  23. 17 minutes ago, LordOfTheEnd14 said:

Lord looked bewilderedly at the Fluffles. "Wha... why..." He shook his head. "I see no way these things could have survivled in such an environment, but I suppose nature takes its course...". He returned his attention to Dirge. "Power resources. What thresholds do we have as far as power usage? Our facilities have abnormally high power usage, and I would need to know if we would need to bring our own generators to supplement power supply."

    Dirge shifts.

"We mostly use geothermal power and Orokin reactors." He says. "We would expect you to provide your own power. Normally we would have provided assistance but... After the attacks we don't have much to spare."

Dirge looks back at the Fluffles.

"You think the Behemoths or the Great Wyrms would be the hardiest life form." He says. "But strangely it is those little furballs. They breed every month, live for years, and consume everything."

"What sort of research do you do?" He asks. "We have some labs. I could give you a tour of those."
