  1. Volt, then Valkyr who is still my 'main' I guess.

     

    My starter was excal, right at the end of Grineer Sawmen, wasn't having a ton of fun with him, he was a guy who carried my Burston and Aklato. (which btw, I had NO IDEA how much better guns could be than that.) Stopped playing for a long time.

     

    After a while, came back and there was this tutorial level that let you pick a frame and weapons. Picked Volt. Tutorial done, still just had Excal.

     

    Got a 75% off plat thing, got Volt, and he was my most used till I got Valkyr, who is probably my favorite overall, and now most used since Volt has been replaced by his Prime.

     

    Frames that have been newly released while I was playing, or right before I came back, well, I still don't have Mesa, and Chroma I only use occasionally, still slowly chipping away at the Equinox blueprint acquisition.

    But you have to agree that his first three skill have perfect synergy and are fine as they are.

    The current Overload just dont fit his kit(shock is better in my opnion)

    The idea behind was to work with this skills.

    He already deals a lot of damage (Shield+ "some good weapon" *_*)

    The lack of his ult could be benificial to the other skills.

    And it would be something different. Something we did not have before^^

    Also what about the other suggest(The other suggested Ults)? 

    Do you like 'em?

     

    One of the other ult Ideas mentioned his shield stat and potentially using the ult to buff that and also teammates, which could be interesting...

     

    But today I was thinking about a totally different game which I mod, and I made a scripted weapon for that, which was based on an ability in another game, not Warframe, this was before I got really into Warframe. So I was thinking about this ability, and how it was kind of similar to an eximus or Moa stomp, or like Valkyr's Paralysis actually.

     

    Here's what the ability did though. Only unit that had it had shields. On using the ability, which released a radial knock down and damage attack, if the attack hit anything, the unit's shields were drained completely and more damage was dealt to affected targets. Kinda like Paralysis, which I think is weird that Valkyr has it, considering her low shield stat. And then I realized I had named the ability Shield Overload, and then I realized it might be an idea for Volt.

     

    So, Idea for update to Overload.

    Consume part of Volt's shield to buff the damage of Overload. Full Shield and decent damage build, but not necesarily min maxed? Any non boss non eximus on the starchart dies in one hit, heavy eximus are heavily damaged and stunned. Shields drop to like half or something. Half Shield Overload would leave heavy non eximus alive, shields drop to like 25%. Shields below 25% and you have current overload still good for stuns but meh damage.

     

    And obviously I wouldn't say no to regenerating environment objects and adding other interacting objects particularly on Grineer sets... and quicker cast time...

  3. Hush Loki aug is another mod. This would override.

    May stun and deafen before the alert status is applied so stunned aren't alerted, but if others are farther away than the AOE they would be.

    Point might not be an ultimate stealth mod? Just something fun to mess with.

    Or it could affect alerted enemies as well but have a 30% or so chance of activating.

    I guess the whole idea is more cc than stealth.

    Mod Mechanics:

    +50 sound level, after any other mods.
    Enemies within 5 meters are stunned and deafened as if by Banshee's Silence.

    Unalerted: 100% chance.

    Alerted: 30% chance.

    Thanks for your reply. What about Corvas? I just started leveling one, but I can't mod it enough to make a judgement on it yet.

     

    Is Erpo the Intercept on Earth? I don't even know the name of that node. If it is, when I was finishing off my Velocitus, I wasn't bothering to try charged shot and sniping, I just aimed in the general direction and spammed left click. Seemed more effective, but still mostly ineffective, and uncharged shots were still usually one hit kills.

     

    Do you think any of the Archwing weapons perform better in the slower and more compact environment of Sharkwing?

  6. I think this is probably one of the main points of concern for Excalibur owners. Until we receive confirmation of what the Umbra will be, we're stuck in limbo on what will or won't become redundant effort with our standard Excaliburs.

    This. I'm about ready to start putting forma into frames. Till Umbra discussion, I was prepared to forma Excalibur and any of my primes. Now I have to wait on Excalibur. Hoping for skin.
  7. That would be awesome, and about placing several shields at the same time... if you are not surrounded by enemies, I never did it but when I do it... hell, I'm immortal xD

     

    Whatever, It would be nice to see how to do it but with a 2 cast system I think it's okay but again, if you are not surrounded by enemies you will not do it and the time is money in that situation. The thing is if you can place it instantly without cast time or something it will not make you lose almost any time :)

     

    Second cast to place shield could have no cast time. The trade-off when using the shell augment is meant to be in energy cost not time to cast.

     

     

    To be honest,  i'd like it if the shield were to deal damage to enemies passing through it, even potentially stun them. So then maybe shield might have a use for primarily melee factions like infested.

     

    I like this as a small tweak to the base ability. It wouldn't make it too much more powerful against Grineer/Corpus/Corrupted, but would add some use to infested. As an augment though I think it would be too expensive in opportunity cost.

  8. Actually, I just thought of something. Add rag-dolling push to Overload. When enemies are hit by the expanding wave, they are rag-dolled away. The electric proc would then pin them to whatever surface they hit until it expires, and the proc timer would start when they hit that surface, and they'd be open for ground finishers since they were rag-dolled. Hitting other enemies would damage them same as rag-doll effects of bows and Kestrel.

     

    Still want no changes to the first 3 abilities, and I'd like to mention there is an augment for Overload that can recharge shields (and add over-shields) already, but then with Excalibur there was an augment that let Radial Blind enable Finishers which is now part of the base ability, so I guess it could be done with Volt... but I would think not.

     

     

    And for a new description how about:

     

    Volt can create and harness electrical elements to any situation, adept at gunplay, defense, and mobility.

     

     

     

     

    I do have my own topic for discussing Electric Shield augments, but I don't think the base ability needs a major rework.

     

    Oh and as a purely quality of life change, I'd like it if Speed lost it's FOV shift. :P

    Or if FOV Shift on Ability Use could be an option. Speed is just annoying with FOV but Bladestorm hurts my brain.

    I also checked my Dread, Daikyu, and Paris P with no skin, they were fine.

     

     

     

    One other thing relating to hidden while holstered I saw, I took Ack and Brunt as the only weapon and had hidden while holstered on, and every time I swung it, it glowed blue like they do when unholstering from hidden.

  10. Dual Decurion

    Is it Corpus? It doesn't seem corpus. Rename it to Akdecurion if it's supposed to be Tenno.

    It has 100 accuracy... And insane recoil. Accurate only on first shot, and firing single shots is terrible.

    Suggest reducing recoil, or doubling fire rate and magazine, then create single Decurion with stats of current Akdecurion but no recoil.

    Velocitus

    Very confused. Looks Tenno, but functions very Corpus. Basically, it's a Space Lanka, but lacks a scope. Also, considering its name and described projectiles as tremendous in speed, has travel time. Slower than standard rifle which has hitscan.

    So it's a sniper rifle with no scope, slow projectiles. Hard to use against targets at any range if they have any angular velocity.

    Fix? Make charged shot like opticor. Hit scan. Explosive.

    Melee

    Need to diversify. Basically there are 3.

    1. Veritux. (i can't wait to get Centaur)

    2. Rathbone/Onorix (Not Centaur, but at least it's not Veritux)

    3. Centaur (<3<3<3)

    Fix? Differentiate.have one do critical, another do status, another do base damage. Veritux attack faster. It's the lightest arch melee, but it's slow.

    We already have grenades. Vauban. OMG, CoD has guns. REMOVE ALL "BORING" HITSCAN GUNS. /sarcasm.

     

    Updated OP. Changed Reload to Unload and changed Osprey to Riot Shield.

  12. I would LOVE a grenade #1 frame. Just a little bit of bounce to go around corners or skip through a low gap. Nice AoE. Blast damage with a good proc rate. <3

     

    The kit overall seems a little boring though. 2, 3 and 4 are just buff buttons you don't do much with. They don't combo with other gameplay, they're not conditional on gameplay and they don't change how you're playing after you use them. For example, instead of giving passive ammo mutation you could do a short duration self+team buff that gives +X% firing rate and ammo doesn't drain from magazines. People get that cool factor and gameplay gets switched up when they can really cut loose with their guns for a little bit. Firing rate so that bows and snipers can make more use of it.

    Yeah, I'm not sure about the 2 and 3 myself. But I had to put something in between the 1 and 4.

     

    Fire rate buff sounds good though. No other frame does that yet right? Besides Mesa's passive? Volt and Valkyr buff melee speed, but I don't think gunfire rate. I think I'd reduce ammo cost, or have a chance to refund ammo on each shot, rather than make it cost nothing, and have refund chance scale with power strength, capped somewhere below 100%.

    Stats:

    All around good survivability, low mobility. Like Frost.

    Passives:

    Rifleman: +10% Magazine Size and Reload Speed on Assault Rifles and Burst Rifles

    Close Quarters: +10% base damage with single daggers, dual daggers, sparring, and fist weapons

    Abilities:

    A grenade. I dunno how to explain it or if I need to. Throw grenade. Does blast damage. 100% proc chance. Bad guys take damage.

    Blast radius increased by range mods.

    Blast damage increased by strength mods.

    Blast delay increased by duration mods.

    I don't really want to step on Chroma's specialty, but energy color modifying the grenade damage type could be interesting.

    Maybe as an augment?

    Grenade with base fire damage. A damage type is added based on the warframe's energy color, same color picker as Chroma.

    Resulting possible damage types for the grenade are Fire, Radiation, Gas, Blast.

    Unload

    Generates an aura around self. Increases fire rate and reload speed on primary and secondary weapons for self and team within radius. Every shot has a chance to refund ammo, making magazine as well as total ammo run out slower.

    Fire Rate/Reload Speed: 15%/20%/25%/30%

    Refund Chance: 35%/45%/55%/65%

    Refund Chance Capped at 90%.

    Cannot be recast while active.

    Aura Radius increased by range mods.

    FireRate/ReloadSpeed/RefundChance increased by strength mods.

    Aura Duration increased by duration mods.

    Suppression Fire

    Reduces weapon accuracy and adds an additional puncture proc to every shot on top of any proc from the weapon itself.

    Reload

    Applies an Ammo Mutation aura to self and teammates. On walking over an ammo drop, whatever weapon is currently active acts as if it has its ammo mutation mod equipped, boosts the conversion rank even more if the weapon does actually have the mod equipped. If melee is equipped, split ammo between holstered primary and secondary. Rank 3 ability acts as a max rank mod, Unranked acts as unranked mod.

    Cannot be recast while active.

    Doesn't stack with other soldier frames. the higher ranked ability will override any others.

    Radius of team aura increased by range mods.

    Duration increased by duration mods.

    Riot Shield

    Summon an energy riot shield that stops all damage that hits it. User is forced to use secondary and can't carry or pick up datamasses or other objects like that.

    It's the same shape and size of the Shield Lancer's shield, except the texture is like Volt's Electric Shield.

    Aiming holds the shield to the side, otherwise it will be held in front. Quickmelee does the shield bash.

    Recast cancels the shield early.

    Shield duration increased by duration mods.

    Tenno version of the Shield Osprey Specter?

    After time runs out, or if destroyed, it explodes, dealing Blast damage.

    Cannot be recast while active.

    Osprey Shield ability improved by strength mods.

    Blast damage increased by strength mods.

    Lifetime Increased by duration mods.

    Squad Tactics

    Spawns 1/2/3/4 Tenno Specters using the same frame and weapons as self. As with other specters, they can be ordered to follow or hold position. Specters will only use the grenade and shield abilities.

    Cannot be recast while active.

    Specter Shield/Armor/Health increased by warframe Shield/Armor/Health mods.

    Specter Weapon Damage increased by weapon mods.
