(PSN)Iron4EverRooster
Hello, Good afternoon, please can you add weapon damage increase to Frost's snow globe? Shooting through Volt's glass shield increases the damage of a weapon. Therefore, if you are shooting from within Frost's globe, it should not be far-fetched to increase the damage dealt by the shooting weapon. Thanks. WarmongerExtraordinare
volt's shield is made out of electricity, not glass, first of all second of all, what logic is there behind a bullet getting buffed from an ice layer? i can understand electro-wall, but iceglobe? Gabbynaru
Why? Last I checked, railguns use electricity, not frozen water. So, it makes sense for Volt. Plus, Frosts shield protects on a 360 degree radius, Volt only protects in front of you. So, you can see the damage boost on Volt as a way to make up for the coverage, or the lack of damage boost on frost as a drawback from the coverage. Either way, makes sense for Volt, not so much for Frost.
Birdframe_Prime
To put in a serious answer on this, rather than the 'why?' responses; Volt's Shields have the extra function because, to be fair, they literally aren't as strong as Frost's Globe for a single defensive cast. Yes you can cast four of them, but so can Frost, each individual shield cast by Frost is metric multiples a stronger shield than Volt's. Frost's Globe has a multitude of functions already, such as 3 seconds of actual Invulnerability to the caster while it absorbs damage from outside and adds that to its health (like Iron Skin), in addition to it 'consuming' the remaining health from any previous Globe cast in the same location (this can scale Globe up to 1 million health if needed). It is an area clear, sending frozen enemies away and causing Physics damage (listed on the wiki as 'up to 50% of their scaled health as True damage, ignoring shields and armour), and it then produces a high-strength Slow on anything that crosses the boundary while also totally mitigating ranged damage from outside. So Volt's shields, because they aren't as good as Frost's defensively, have been given the extra power to buff offensive damage instead. It's a game balance thing.
