Atsia Posted October 14, 2018 Share Posted October 14, 2018 Well, to me the main issue is that allowing cross progression would mean that they would have to change how Tennogen and platinum in general works since A)Tennogen cost plat on consoles and artists would be losing money from PC sales unless they sell rights to DE, and B)PC has way more cash to burn thanks to our freedom for discounts and thus people are gonna stop buying on consoles and just get all their plat on PC, thus making Sonysoft lose money Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Right now a 3 day affinity booster is easing/expediting the progression for me. You might have noticed that the PC version is currently on Update 23.10.2, dubbed 'Chimera'. Consoles, however, are not. That's because it takes longer for Consoles to get updated, so DE brings features out on PC first, cleans up the worst bugs, and then releases on consoles. For Crosssave/-Play, all the Platforms would have to have the same Built. Which would either result in Consoles getting the same Updates as PC with all the Bugs but with a longer time between Hotfixes due to Certification bei Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo. Or there would be much less Updates due to increased time needed to ensure all runs smoothly on all Platforms. The Only way I see Crosssave/play happening is that DE gets the option to apply Hotfixes whenever they want without certification. And that is highly unlikely. Money is always a reason, it's why half the things in the game are what they are. Sony and Microsoft would be losing money by allowing their players to move away with how WF platinum works. They're even less likely to let you take your stuff and mice to a competitors platform. The issue of cross-play/progression/migration lies in the hands on the console makers, not DE. It's obvious that, if it involved their gaming platform and cross play, etc., the console company has the final say. And no, this horse has been beaten to death and turned into glue at this point in time. Your thread is no different than the rest.
