Sorry bud, but this is more intimidating and confusing for new players than the current one. At least what we have now has paths for where to go to. The star map we have now is fine.

New Player: So.... why is our solar system like this? I'm at Earth, do I go from there to Mars then Pluto?

DE: No, you go to Ceres after that.

New Player: Oh... then why isn't there a line connecting those two?

If you mean that recent UI redesing which lacks useful information, then you nailed it, otherwise big NOPE

i think its a decent concept honestly but i can see how new players would be confused by this design... but like i said nice concept

I know some people have been saying this already but i'm gonna say it anyways. 
Looks great on paper, but poor execution and it is confusing functionally. You might want to go back to the drawing board.
