I know this is an unpopular suggestion but i think it would improve sortie's performance a lot... So it goes like this First mission will guarantee only one item from the tier 1 rewards Second mission will guarantee only one from the tier one or tier 2 rewards And third mission will guarantee one from all three So no you won't get 2 rivens in one sortie And maybe to balance it out...buff enemy level or something. Basically, but I'd prefer complete removal, because can easily envision DE turning such a back step into another major grind that's not worth the effort and won't ever feel rewarding. "Oh, we're the kind and benevolent Digital Extremes. We have removed RNG from rivens. Now grind 4 million hours to drop this stats shard that increases one stat on this riven by 1%." The balance would be the three tiers are now tripled in size and have 2/3 filler rewards. They would never give you three whacks at the tiny Sortie drop table.
