Einsteinian Gravity manipulating frame. This doesn't just involve manipulating up and down or invoking microgravity, but potentially distorting time and space itself; even the effective mass or inertia of material things can be meddled with. Lots of implications when you control gravity. Doesn't have to be the usual telekinesis + singularity vortex character. Even at the simplest, foes will perish just from being unable to resist their own weight.

My Warframe Contest Submission

 

 

“What is respect? That is a question many a Tenno inquire among themselves when such medallions were bestowed to the honored. It was a practice to bear the accolades of the bravest and noble of warriors. But now, there are no medals, there are no ribbons of courage, to be humbled with fragmented achievements is the sought out glory of the Tenno. 

A practice without a trace, one in particular that was lost, not worn down by time, nor destruction, but by the forced exclusion from the Tenno themselves. Its sharp scowl, crude and mocking, its body concealed in the many coats of medallions it melded onto its body. Whom we speak of.... The Golden One, the self-proclaimed king among all. Cast out by his brethren, the tyrant simply laughed dismissively, showing himself the door. But as he left he lowered his regal horns, his former allies shivering and buckling as his haughty chuckle disappeared through the halls abruptly, as if it had solidified into solid gold. The king had vowed to return, and when he did, he would seize his rightful place above all under the dominion of the universe. And when he returned, those who refused to bow were to be respected, and the respected shall be slaughtered- like the beasts of old, hunted for glory. Now their breaths have turned to silence, in fear that his claws of gold shall find their mark. They sing in his anthem, quivering sopranos afraid to disturb his Holy Chorus. Would love a sun themed warframe. Could call down sun beams, emit light, and could have exalted primary solar cannon (thinking something like the opticor). Ideas include charging up sun stones/crystals with light so that third ability cast does something different. Also had a cool idea where said 3 floating crystals assemble into his ult solar cannon and do something different for passive synergy. 

Already saw amazing solar plasma bits w/ Wisp, would love more!

Phantom - A warrior who fought to the death within the void and but the void revived him. Now he draws from the shadows to keep his physical form and haunts his enemies with his freakish movements that seem out of place, twitching and rushing towards them. He is the embodiment of the shadows and fear itself.

Neutral Warframe

Passive: Devil: Kill the enemy and the soul comes out. The soul is charged with technology number three and can make a powerful attack. The more you kill an enemy, the more aggressive it becomes and the less defensive it is.

Angel: The more enemies attack, the more you charge your number three skill. This gives us a strong defense. If you turn into an angel, your enemies will be incapacitated for a certain period of time

1, Demons: It weakens the enemy by spreading bad energy around it.

Angel: Increase the defenses of me and my friends.

2,Demons: Each time 20 people are killed, a technology that avoids death is charged one by one (on-off technology).

Angel: It can create a space where enemies cannot escape. All my abilities increase here.

3:Demons: Use up what's charged and fire a powerful energy ball that explodes when touched.

Angel: Use what's charged and shoot the laser that destroys the enemy.

4:You can transform into an angel and a devil, but only use an angel and a devil's own weapon. The weapon in possession is not available.

Demons: transform in the form of demon, weapons are ominous trident.

Angel: Transform in the form of angel, weapons are holy two-handed swords.

Press and hold number four to return to neutral.

What about a frame with kuva and 'metamorphosis' as its main themes? Maybe it could be paired with demon-hunter warglaives as its signature weapon, inspired by Illidan from Warcraft :P

He (the proposed frame) could possibly have a mechanic where it has kuva/kuva energy inside of it, which empowers the frame while giving it an increasingly corrupted appearance. This would be represented by a mechanic that causes it to transform once it has built up enough of a special ability resource, which would then empower its abilities in interesting ways?

Taking it a step further, the frame could have a strong focus on flight and gliding mechanics, especially in its full-power state, with an emphasis on attacking from above and rewarding the player for doing so.

Also, the proposed warglaives, similar to tatsu, could have their own weapon type, and their own stance mod(s).

 

The frame's lore would essentially be that it was infused with Kuva by the Grineer... and then went on a rampage some time afterwards.

I have no idea what to call it, probably give it a name that sounds sinister or edgy :p

Now that the New War is upon us, the echoes of the Old War and the Orokin Era are being felt. When faced with the unknown, the Origin System must look to its scholars and historians for answers and data if we are to survive the coming storm. Tenno, embrace the wisdom of the scholar: Seshat!

Seshat - Inspired by the Egyptian goddess of wisdom, knowledge, and writing, she is the penultimate scholar/historian who uses her ancient knowledge and data on the enemy to gain the upper hand.

Originally designed to assist the Orokin in battle as a source of data/intelligence on the enemy, Seshat's devotion to knowledge led her to rebel against her creators in order to continue to assimilate and seek out more data. She is as crafty as she is wise, and it will take an equally clever mind to properly utilize her abilities.

Seshat is inspired by the 'scholar' type class we see in other genres, but with an Orokin/tech twist. Instead of using books, paper, and ink, we must consider what a scholar would have used during the Orokin Era: Holographic readouts/panels in the flowing Orokin script, with a golden stylus. Data scrolling around her in the blue glow of Orokin holo-readouts, bordered by golden filigree.

  • Skin variations could use other faction's tech, like the blue/silver Corpus displays, green/yellow Grineer, etc

For her skills, they would be a balance between support and crowd control, with one being a toggle style like Ivara's arrows or Vauban's mines.

Ideas for skills (these are very rough ideas):

Passive: As Data Gathering is used, it fills up a gauge for 'accumulated knowledge'. Once its filled, Enlightenment can be cast without energy cost, and with an even greater effect.

  • "Data Gathering" - targeted enemies are scanned, their weaknesses exposed for exploitation by the group for a duration (perhaps a toggle, hold for scan, hit the skill again to make them twice as vulnerable to weaknesses. Same for their strengths, except it halves them) - could also be augmented to reveal enemies through walls and on radar?
  • "Knowledge of the Ancients" - a skill that has 4 traps or attacks that you toggle: (Could this use Cephalons? Not sure if they would be used for such a task...)
    • Wisdom - A data array-mine that buffs allies with heightened reflexes (haste, or improved skill durations...something affecting duration/speed)
    • Intuition - a data array-mine that buffs allies by making their accuracy 100%, all hits find their mark, can't be blocked, etc
    • Ignorance - a data array-mine that will sap the enemy's energy/power when they walk over it, also slowing them
    • Confusion - a data array-mine that confuses the enemy by overloading them with data, making them stumble around blindly, or perhaps even more amusing, they forget how to use their weapons and try to fight with them the wrong way (it's silly, but imagine a grineer heavy gunner suddenly trying to bludgeon you or her allies with their rifle)
  • "Scholar's Intuition" - Deploys an aura (or data module?) that strengthens you against the enemy's damage type, or some similar buff that uses knowledge against the enemy.
  • "Enlightenment" - Seshat gathers all of her acquired knowledge and uses it to overpower her enemies with sheer data (an aoe-style attack that uses things like weaknesses, strengths, buffs/debuffs, to give all allies an advantage, all enemies a massive damage attack). I imagined this skill would look like a storm of 'data readouts' (Orokin-style pages) swirling around her, then exploding outward.

Ideas for her appearance would include: Orokin-style technology, Cephalon tech/appearance - particularly Cephalon Suda (perhaps Seshat even has ties to Suda in the past?), lots of glowing Orokin/Tenno script (or Corpus or Grineer, depending on her skin/appearance?). Some kind of monocle or lens over one 'eye', data readouts on her person, or attached to her person.

How about Warframe-General of Commander ? To add more tactic genre to game.

Gameplay may be like "Star Wars: Republic Commando".
Passive: If in room will be not enemies for some time, zone will be conquered and give additional armor and health regen
1-st ability(stream) will be commands(attack, defend, hack, etc). It would increase dmg, shields and armor, time to hacking and other if you do them.
2-nd ability(stream) is Formations. Some formations will give you and your allies different buffs if you do it right (do not works on pets and spectres).
3-rd ability(stream) is Retreat. You and your squad(4-th) shoots to ~70%-90% of having ammo and retreating to the nearest door/room/location and lock them until you will not recover(by hp regen for example) or while enemy will not hack the door.
4-th ability will summon 3 frame-like soldiers: Battle Medic(heal and revive), Sniper(low attack speed, but high damage and distance) and Battle Engineer(explousions and barricades). They will always follow you and executing your orders(1,2 and 3 abilities). If other player summoned them, you could not.


It would be even better if name will be reference to Suvorov.

Some thing what could be lore: He was captain of one Railjack. Last-standed he and his crew still fight make enemy's fleet retreat. It cost their lifes, but they didn't stop mission. Player target is  the "ghost"-Railjack what still defending strategically important zone with the crew of masters and VERY smart commander(still active Warframe)

I imagine design like this:

Men in dark admiral coat and sailor cap and some parts of body is damaged(like Umbra's face).

Blind Themed Warframe - A Blind Frame.

It would be super nice to have a Blind Themed Warframe (Bat-like or Vampire mutation/evolution theme due to Echolocation or perhaps a Blind legendary warrior which vision were taken by the Orokin and imprisoned in the Void-where the frame survived by developing ability to "sense" the surroundings even without vision/eyes). 

This will be fully up to DE in regards to the lore and backstory of the Warframe, but it would be great to have a Warframe with deep hatred towards Orokin due to its imprisonment and blindness.

The gameplay, abilities and growth will be based on "the echolocation ability or ability to sense the surroundings", because this Warframe actually blind-lost its vision (players won't be able to see normally like when using other Warframe). 

This would open a whole lot of opportunities of nightwave missions and ideas;
1) A dark themed map (Chains of Harrow-like) where player will need to rely on light source or using Warframe with innate ability to sense surroundings to survive (horror-like setting is super cool!),
2) A new threat/ancient entities/weapon developed by Orokin, called "Darkness" where it might engulf the universe and transforming all life form into "Dark-creature/spawn" - Tenno needs to stop the "Darkness" from spreading,
3) A map where new type of enemies will keep spawning unless players igniting "Light" using a source (this can be Defense or Mobile Defense mission as well) - or Nightmare mode mission
4) This Blind Warframe Blueprint and parts can be obtained through the dark-themed mission or Nightmare mode mission with "Darkness" type map (or perhaps Quest - been a while since we have a Warframe where blueprint needs to be obtained through a Quest, *wink wink wink to DE)
5) A warframe with blindfold accessories/skins!

An idea that might be worth a shot, a Warframe that require energy to maintain its "Vision" (where the surroundings of the frame will be black and white with noticable different color on enemies (red because of life form/energy based enemies) and yellow for breakables and pickables), the passive can be Energy-drain for every enemies killed and the Ult can be either be; 1) Gaining its former vision before taken by Orokin (player will be able to see normally like when playing with other Warframe and 2) An AOE skill where the frame take the vision of all enemies, render everyone blind (or by letting all dark-void energy go out from the body). 

And top of 'em all, this would be empowering to people with/born with vision impairment or blindness, a Warframe/Hero who despite of its shortcomings, still able to kick ass!

After days considering different options I finally arrived at an idea with potential and is yet to be exploited by any frame, as a core mechanic anyways.

Theme: Enchantments

Temporary Name: RUBRIKON (?)

The Kit so far:

Reforged Ammo (Passive): RUBRIKON customizes all of its ammunitions, converting 50% of its damage to a different element and boosting Status chance by 20%.

Passive Details:

- Available Elements: Slash, Cold (Undecided), Magnetic

- the extra 20% Status chance is additive. Ex: Braton: 6% (Base Status) + 20% (Reforged Ammo) : 26%

     - This bonus will be added BEFORE any other status chance calculations.

 

Elemental Impulse (1): Deals elemental damage in a cone and an additional effect depending on the element. Holding the key allows to switch between elements.

- Slash: Applies a Slash proc and enemies stagger for a second.

- Magnetic: Applies a Magnetic proc and Disarms enemies, pulling their weapons in and creating an Omni ammo pack at RUBRIKON feet. Works the same way as any ammo pack.

 

Krauserlols notes

It Started with the passive really, at first it was the 1 but didn't want to have an ability slot dedicated to just switch the elements, nor could I figure a satisfying workaround that included the passive and an active. Made things a little too complicated.

Then I though about making the first ability to also switch elements as a secondary function while keeping the extra effects as a passive. Keeping things simple and clean.

The Passive is built as a double edged sword. It may cripple some players as it actually takes away some of the weapons damage from all elements into an element they might not like or use, or if properly used it can either buff old weapons or allow weapons to have different roles.

I feel its about time to have a passive that forces players to switch things around, not just for the warframe build itself but for the weapons while using said Warframe.

 

Things that im looking into

- Two or three elements? If two I will keep Slash and Magnetic, but the warframe using an element from each of the three damage types (Physical, Elemental, Combined) does sound cool. Could always leave it for a different warframe.

- MOAR ABILITIES! Not all abilities will revolve around the elements. Still dont have much beyond passive and starting ability for now.

- Gender? So far I would like to make it Female but have a non standard build, thinking of something like Oberon, Nekros or Harrow, Warframe bio-engineering with a touch of mysticism.

Beast Warframe: Raikyu

Passive: Swapping Forms Gives a buff, (Armor/Move Speed/ Atk Speed).

1:Primal Tactics: Swaps between Bear/Panther/Wolf (Tanky/Speed/Damage).

2: Feral Scream: Shouts in a cone Dealing Impact/Slash/Pierce damage.

3: Natural Bond: When coming into contact with another frame, they procure whichever buff you have from your passive for a set duration.

4: Beastly Body: Becomes whichever form they have selected, Increasing whichever stat buff greatly, while sacrificing the other two stats.

PS: I might be too late but I still felt like putting my 2 cents in! I didn't see anyone post anything like this at the time I'm submitting this.

Lore: as Hunhow began is deceptive last stand for the grand design he saw too late the shadow rise from the ocean, ready to drag his body to a dark watery grave

Power theme/play style: Erebus focusses on esoteric elements of encompassing darkness

2 passeves

Passeve1: enemys who die in a dark cloud give "souls" use them to boost his other powers

Passive2: innate ammo mutation for all weapons if you dont have a melee equipped

Power#1 dark clouds: place up to 4 wisplike motes that spawns a smog of darkness (effected by range,STR,and efficiency) lowering movement speed and accuracy of "cloud blind" enemy

Power#2 subsume(toogle): drain your health over time to gain passive life steal on any cloudblind enamy (will only drain or restore health when YOU are in a cloud yourself) (effected by STR,EFF,and DUR)

Power#3 challger deep: channel "souls" to become the mobile epicentre of a large dome darkness. Blinding opponents and lowering accuracy and speed.

How about a frame designed around credits, debts and payment? Could expand into balance/order somehow if that's a desirable direction to go. Could also be related to Nef and the Void. The passive could be something simple like increasing credits gained. Abilities could interact with the amount of credits you've earned in a mission, spending them to empower your abilities, or if there are no credits to spend, or somehow choosing not to spend any, you can instead still cast the empowered form of that ability by paying with some sort of debuff. The debuffs could range anywhere from reduced speeds to a % reduction in max health/shields. These debuffs would be gradually "paid off" as credits are earned throughout the mission. To avoid anti-fun, the abilities can be cast without paying to get their "normal" output, and could scale down with efficiency. This is just something off the top of my head that I think could be interesting.

Leviathan, The Sentient's Cult Leader.

(theme inspired by Lovecraftian Cultists)

"Leviathan" is a Warframe that takes control of "Canavar" a Sentient entity that will constantly follow him around. Said creature will be in a deep slumber, leaving her in an ethereal, ghost-like, state. While in this "sleep" state, she will not do or affect anything except blindly follow Leviathan until he can awaken her.

You will have the ability to inflict a "Curse" on you're enemies. Cursed enemies will then slowly grant you "Insight" relative to how many that have been cursed. Only when you have enough Insight will you be able to awaken Canavar for your own bidding.

Canavar grants deeds to the ones who are deserving, blessing those who follow and dooming all who go against. Not all blessings come without sacrifice, and where it gives, it may also take away. Per your request you may offer your own life force to aid others in combat. Given enough Insight, you you're self may enter a state of sleep, and become a monster yourself.

Once you've granted enough insight from those you have cursed, you slip into the ethereal sleep state and take full possession of Canavar. As this exalted Sentient form you will have a more destructive nature than before, growing in size and trampling all in your path. When controlling Canavar you shall lose insight until there is none, or rather you awaken your self and condemn the Sentient back to her slumber.

Summery

Leviathan (the Sentient Cultist Frame) takes control of a Sentient entity known as Canavar. He inflicts enemies with curse to fill up his insight and uses insight to awaken Canavar and fuel her abilities. The motive with Leviathan is to be support oriented in Canavar's "awakened" state, healing the team and sacrificing your own health for team buffs, and DPS focused in your Exalted form, provided you have enough insight, and use a number of Sentient attacks.

Below are some of the ability ideas I had in mind for him.

Abilities

1. Applying the curse: A simple ability, Leviathan places a curse infliction on every enemy in a wide spread angle. The curse fills up your insight bar, and the speed at which it's filled is multiplied by the number of enemies inflicted with curse. Your energy is drained based on the number of enemies cursed, and enemies are cursed until they die or you run out of energy.

2. Awakening the Sentient: "Canavar" the Sentient entity that follows you will stay in a ghost like "sleep" until you "awaken" her. You will need to fill your Insight to it's first threshold in order to be able to awaken her. After Canavar is awake she will slowly drain Insight (insight drain can be combated given you have enough enemies cursed) and all enemies afflicted with curse will try to move in closer to you and her. Canavar and you have a life link that's activated when you awaken her, and a portion of your damage goes to her. Damage dealt to her (and a portion from you) hastens the drain, but also is stored and can be released into a slight damaging AOE blast to enemies and a healing aura for you and your allies by tapping the ability. Holding the ability down will put her back to sleep and ridding all enemies of curse while stunning them as well.

3. Commanding Canavar: After awakening Canavar you can command it to sacrifice a portion of your own health for a damage buff or insight for a defensive buff that applies to the whole team (and possably your own energy to refill the rest of your teams energy). Cycling and casting buffs is similar to all other frames who has the same feature.

4. Exalted Form: When you have gained enough Insight to reach the second threshold (second only to its cap) you will be able to go into exalted form. In exalted form you, the Leviathan, will go into the "sleep" state (much like Canavar before you wake her) and will gain control of Canavar and harness a variety of Sentient based attacks (I have not yet decided what specific attacks, only that they are ones that are very Sentient themed). While also controlling Canavar, she will grow in size (undecided how big) and will inflict curse on every enemy in a proximity, causing them to helplessly crowd around you. As exalted, you will rapidly lose Insight based on how much damage you are taking, and will switch back to Leviathan putting Canavar back to sleep or by forcefully doing so ridding all curse from enemies in the processes (note, exiting exalted form by force will also put Canavar to sleep, therefor ridding curse as well).

Warframe name: Dolos (Greek mythology inspired warframe)
 
Dolos is a frame that specializes in deception and morphing abilities.
 
Passive Name: Energizing snack
  • Finishers replenishes energy
Ability 1: Copycat
When active:
  • On a successful finisher or Stealth kill, Dolos takes the form of that enemy
(After taking an enemy form in Copycat mode, enemies don't attack, instead copycat mode lures nearby enemies. Activating copycat again Dolos jumps out, back to its original form leaving a husk that deals explosive AOE damage to nearby enemies)
 
Ability 2: Plague Swarm (more like wukong's  cloud walker but now a swarm of insects with buzzing sounds)
  • Dolos takes the form of a swarm of bionic insects that devours enemies when they come into contact
Ability 3: Partner (when active,health regenerates. Reviving an ally allows Dolos to tap into one of the downed ally's warframe ability)
  • Dolos mimics revived allies' warframe abilities.
Ability 4: Alpha call
  • Summons a bionic/mecha kubrow that shoots missiles and roars to strip enemy armor. (The kubrow is mountable hence Dolos can ride it even in indoor missions)

My english is bad, but I'll try to be good at writing.
My Idea for a Warframe is a "Commander Warframe" called "Cesare" (or "Caesar" or "Kaiser", which you like, you choose). He has the ability to buff the allies, trap the enemy and recruitment:
Passive:
Casere can choose 4 different Warfame(and primary or melee weapon too) from the player rooster to be called as specter to the Charge!
1) Battle Banner
Cesare put on the ground one of four different types of Banner
     - Fight Banner: increase the Damage
     - Defense Banner: increase Shield and Armor
     - Charge Banner: increase movement, speed and reload
     - Support Banner: increase vitality.
2) Recruitment
Cesare enchant the weapon of the team in the nearby to shot the enemy, when they be hit to death, the enemy become instantly allies of Cesare and the team (like the 4th of Nekros)
3) Battlefield 
Cesare create an area in his nearby where the enemy are slowed down for every movement (incluse the scorpion and the ancient whip attack) where the enemy can be killed with the Parazon
4) Charge!
Cesare can call 4 of different Specter of the Warframe player to be commanded by himself to attack or protect an objective.

This is My Idea for a New Warframe and, because we are near to the New War a Commander for the Tenno Army's is necessary (that's what I thought).

Idk if it's been sugested already i went through a few pages and didn't really see it there were some similar things but what i was thinking was Bismarck the german ship This big buff Warframe taking inspiration from history it's legs smooth with a transition into the jagged and roughness like the ship transitioning from ship to warmachine from bottom up small turrets maybe built into the acctual warframe although that might make abilities seem a little obvious so maybe not depends on the artist invisioning the Bismarck as a Warframe i just want a big beefy warframe that goes off the beaten path a little as most Warframes i see are smooth or mostly smooth with detailing sticking out a little and not so much just the acctual warframe being jagged with sharp edges.

Asura Warframe. It has 3 mask or head, and 6 arms.

Change 3 types mask(head) like happy, sad, angry. This gives different element to each.

Use some abillty, this warframe prays with both hands, and pulls out four hidden arms. Then your warframe has 6 arms! Distroy your enemy! Like a asura!
