But in all seriousness, if this inconsistency could be fixed, it would be much appreciated. Either she should have access to them in rifle/pistol only missions, or they should count as proper melee weapons for melee-only missions.

Has the worst part of both a normal melee and an exhalted melee.

Along with the worst slapping animation among all claws.

Her pseudo-exalted talons were a bad idea.  My ideal solution would be to remove them from her kit entirely, and just leave them as aesthetics.  Then the skin I bought would actually work on them, at least.  She uses the talons in her abilities, and that's enough.  We don't need them as claw weapons with all the glitches that come with being a sort of "halfway" exalted.

Has been like that since she came out and never changed. They can't be used in mastery Tests too.
