The rise and fall of the stock prices be linked to something in-game. So maybe the price of anyo corp goes down if a relatively large number of people are winning in index matches in that hour's timespan. Invasions and other things could impact stocks across the system. Multiple types of stocks could be: Credit stocks, kuva stocks, and platinum stocks (or whatever makes sense). I think this could be an extremely interesting and engaging system at face value alone. It could also serve as a neat way to regulate the in-game economy. As others have mentioned, the Corpus are the only faction with any resemblance to a stock market, and it turns out stock trading is done via blood sport. Could be as simple as how the stock market works in GTA and if you could be paid with the resources of your choice, that would be even better.
