Should all Umbra frames wear clothes?

The signature metal attachements is a given. But what about a cloak, hood or cape? 

How close or far of would you like the Umbra-class to be?

Personally I think they should have some kind of signature clothing and gear, similar enough that we recognize it as Umbra, but not straight up duplicates.

I believe at most , scarf/cloth effects with golden hook blades associated tot he umbra polarity design 

I am biased towards a dark pallet color scheme but a lux or white themed color could work if done right 

some examples I've down down the years

Lorewise, I think Harrow would be quite reasonable for an Umbra variant. It would not be surprising for the Red Veil to make an inferior copy of the Harrow Warframe out of some captured soldier and then torture it to the point of it keeping sentience. The only question would be how they manage to get the Helminth strain.

They already have Chargers in their death squads for some reason, so it probably wouldn't be a huge problem to write Helminth into their lore.

I remember one of the events/Harrow quest? or just regular Defection or something also had Red Veil operatives attacking along with Infested. (had to do this while farming Harrow)

The Red Veil room in the relays also has a Charger iirc..

It's probably already in their lore actually.

In the Chains of Harrow quest, parts of the Red Veil go insane and attack the Tenno.

They also try to capture Grineer Defectors in Operation: Rathuum, The Pacifism Defect, and general Defection missions, wanting to find out why they defected in the first place.

That could mean years. This is DE we are talking about. If they are not reminded or inspired by the community that we want a thing, that fades away.

I have more reasons why I want to know, but remember DE HAVE discussed Umbra at one point, but other things allways takes priority.

I love Lore and I love Umbra.

I guess that depends on if all Umbra frames are designed to be Sentient-killers. I mean, the weapons and mods certainly suggests as much.

I don't think it is necessary that Ballas had a hand in all of them. His work of Umbra could have been found or stolen without his knowledge.

If a new Umbra were made after the new war, that would be really interesting.

I completely forgot that. :D

But that could be a good starting point to integrate the Infested and Helminth into their lore, since it's already there in some form.

My assumption is that the Red Veil's callousness and use of the Helminth could result in torment of a similar nature to Excalibur Umbra's own, causing Harrow Umbra to retain most of their sentience. I did not take Umbra's purpose as a Sentient-killer to account, and apologize for that, but Sentients likely are on the Veil's hit list.

[spoiler]Ballas' attack of the Origin System and subsequent death could make it easier for the Veil to find his secrets to Umbra and the Helminth. The worst part is that this might also apply to anyone else.[/spoiler]
