Why are they so bad?

Rending Crane is pretty good. The best heavy-weapon stance in my opinion. Not that the bar is high, but still.

Tempo Royale would be better if neutral and forward combos were swapped.

Cleaving Whirlwind - the worst of the bunch, no idea why they kept the stagger animation in the forward combo. Remove it and it will be that much better.

 

Yeah, overall we could use one more.

They gotta add some forced slash procs and speed up the animations.

Heavy blades are already gutted by low follow through stats and attack speeds. Having no guaranteed procs means you're gonna have to deal with balancing out your IPS and elemental damage, while trying to maintain high enough status chance and all. But not every Heavy Blade is built equally, and some are just built to be designated as the worst of the bunch. Looking at you, War. The saying goes "if it's not broken, don't fix it", but in the case of the War, it's instead "if it's Broken, don't fix it". Nah, just kidding, of course it's the Dark Split Sword, but you already knew, yet didn't care, because no one talks about it for a good reason.

- good title summing up the "problem"

- description with examples (if needed) not simple "it's bad because I think so"

- use enter (aka no wall of text)

Without this there is no point in any discusion.
