No exp. They do AoE damage/status + some buffs. For example Telos boltor mentions "Truth" effect:

Truth is an effect associated with the Arbiters of Hexis Syndicate, that is activated by acquiring 1,000 affinity with a Syndicate Weapon or a weapon equipped with a Weapon Augment Mod, with a 30 second cooldown period between activations.

When triggered:

• All enemies within 25 meters of the player receive 1,000  Gas damage and guaranteed Status Effect.
• The player recovers 25% of their max Health.
• Wall Latch and Aim Glide durations and Bullet Jump velocity increases by 25% for 30 seconds.

It goes kaboom (aoe) and gives you resource buff based on syndicate

Syndicate melee weapons do not do kaboom. They have different special effect. Telos Bolatace doesnt have Truth effect at all. It has parkour movements and grouping/scattering mechanics on slide attack. There is a kaboom if you equip an augument to one of the melee weapons.

You write about Bolatace and paste Boltor instead.
