Dog Days Ephemera Removal Script (Complete)

Tenno,

Summer is coming to a close, meaning it’s time to pack away our floaties and prepare for fall. We’ll be running a script to pop remove the Dog Days Ephemera from player accounts at 4 p.m. ET today!

Have no fear, this summer time hit will return again when Dog Days comes back. Until then, stay cool, Tenno!

Given how much QoL Warframe has been receiving over several months and multiple major updates, is there a chance the very popular "Show Peculiar Content" feedback could be explored? We have several "goofy" cosmetics in Warframe now, and adding a proper toggle for this stuff would not only improve the immersion and agency a player has over cosmetics they see, but also reduce overhead from developers with scripts and updates to remove seasonal (and recurring) cosmetics. Adding this infrastructure would also create a foundation to explore more options in the future, such as the permanent addition of the bunny ears. I'm sure 1999 will inspire many ideas that would fit this category as well.

DE's approach to silly cosmetics is not only horribly inconsistent, it also produces the worst outcome for both sides. People who like these kinds of cosmetics still have some of them arbitrarily removed despite most others being permanent, and people who don't like these kinds of cosmetics - including DE's own art team - still have no way to filter them out and avoid them.

Make them all permanent and add content filters for those that don't want to see them. Let players choose for themselves. Wild that something so simple and obvious that's been asked for year after year still doesn't exist.

is this really nessisary? cant the script wait until the Koumei upate? All hotfixes are on hold til then, so why does this get special treatment to be rushed?

Not Koumei but another event, Night of Naberus is coming up. Better to do it now so that we aren't rushing from one event ephemera right into another.
